Found some at my local pawn shop and jumped on it.. 500 cash out the door. I know it's expensive but still even more online if you can find it . I don't plan on opening it for a while
This stuff shoots great in my Romanian and Yugoslav Tokarevs. It's hotter than the old Bulgarian, but not as hot as the Yugo stuff. It's been 100% reliable after using about half a can.
I have an unopened spam can of Russian 7.62 x 54R from 1974 that I've had for about 10 years. Only paid $79 bucks for it but not sure whether to keep it or sell it on Gunbroker since they are going for big bucks these days.
Got ahold of some Albanian 7.62x54R ammo from the middle 70's could not chamber it fully in my 1897 or 1937. I could not close the bolt. Maybe too much vodka that days production.
@@doomsayer7937 HAHAHA if you're insinuating I don't pay for my stuff, you'd be very wrong. Out of the $500 this cost, I used MAYBE $80 from Patreon/Ad revenue to offset the cost. I'm saying nobody cares about how much you paid in the past. It's not the past anymore.
Hey Mike were did you get that ? i need to get some 762X25 it look's good. the year on that is a bit later that i have seen in the past. Make a video of how it shoot's to THANK's
I’m still trying to figure out why M57 mags are more expensive than the TT33 and CZ52 mags when it’s the only one out of the 3 Tokarev pistols that’s still being made today.
not gonna lie, I thought when you sped up the video of you opening it first I though, "GOD HE REALLY WANTS THIS AMMO OUT FAST!" then I realized you sped it up lol.
*7.62 Pgl* = 7.62mm _Pistolet, gil'za latun'_ [Russian > "Pistol [ammo], brass cased"] All Warsaw Pact ammo used the Russian letter codes, even ones that didn't speak a Slavonic language. *125-83-22* = Ammo Lot 125 - year of production 1983 - made by Factory #22 (UM Sadu) [ Romanian > _Uzina Mecanica Sadu_ = "Mechanical Plant in Sadu, Romania"] *1224 Buc.* = 1224 _Bucati_ [Romanian > “Pieces”] (17 x 72-round cartons) Bulk cartons for use with submachineguns (35-round magazine or 71-round drum). *P45* = Pistol propellant #45. Used for 7.62x25mm Pistol (AKA Tokarev) *255/82 U* = propellant batch 255 / year of production 1982 - made by Viromet S.A. chemical plant in Ucea (a small town near Victoria, Romania).
If you still have some old test helmets, i suggest take a few out and shred them with the new rounds. See if it performs like the other and saves some bucks on helmets to test. Lol
I have been looking at getting a zastava M57 (Tokarev variant). I am hesitating because I have not found ammo for it. Does anyone know where to buy 7.62x25mm ammo online?
Brings me so much joy to see americans enjoying our guns and ammo!
I enjoying your surplus clothing and gear as well.
When I was a kid, the first firearm I ever fired was a mosin nagant, I also enjoy using foreign guns and ammo!
The CZ52 is the finest handgun (for the money) in the world, as far as I’m concerned!
That date on the right of the lid is the year the powder was manufactured.
Canned ammo is the best. The hiss upon opening is so damn satisfying.

Steve mre1989 is like hey that's my line
Damn beat me to it.
You know Mike has to watch SteveMRE, they are both super into military history stuff. It would be cool if they did a video together.
Love that round one of my favorites and it loves bursting flames from the old CZ52
Gid damn I wish I was old enough when 7 62x25 tok spam cans were 150 or less
the 82 under the 255 is the year the powder was produced, the 83 before the 22 is the year the ammo was produced
MmmmmHhmmmmm yaaaasssss another CRISP and SATISFYING unboxing ASMR video! You’re going to want your headphones plugged in for this one kiddies
HOPEFULLY they find more surplus out there to get the price down a tad

I keep telling myself that I'll get a tokarev one of these days. Every time I come across one I'm either broke or something else catches my eye.
I wish I would’ve picked up a couple of these back in the day but alas, I did not own any tokarevs back then.
So jealous. Local shop had one. I should have got it.

Wish i could find some
I have a buttload of this ammo it wasn’t in the can though so I’ve got a shitload of hang fires out of it shooting through an SA-26 part kit build.
Where do you find these spam cans? Everywhere I’ve seen online is out of stock,
...or Do you have a secret stash in Mommy’s Basement?
Huh, did not expect this to pop, one from my own country no less,
WHFB fans are everywhere. We'll pretend the end times didn't happen
I WANT IT!!!! NOW!! What a tease. I guess I'll go back to making it. Where'd you get it?

Damn!!! Prices have gone up since I bought my last spam can. I remember paying 100 bucks for that many and not $470!!
Nobody cares.....
Those that pay for it do Mike.

Great ammo. Fast and fireballs .👍☕😎
Yep. It's definitely a littler hotter than the 50s Polish stuff I've been using for the past decade. Very fun stuff!

Just bought a couple romanian tokarev's, any source on these cans still available?
They’re long gone I’ve only seen a few in one auction and that was it
Mike, what method do you use to clean out the corrosive primer salts?
I literally just make a video on that recently...

I would love to know where to get a spam can of 7.62x25. anywhere I look they all have been sold.
Awesome video!
Some of the most expensive ammo.....
You should open some 8mm next!
Nice vid Mike
I've only ever had bad luck with Romanian ammo, bunch of duds and hang fires. Hope you have far better luck than I've had.
So far so good.
Is this steel core??
I think it's FMJ (lead core bullet) with a brass case.
If you still have some old test helmets, i suggest take a few out and shred them with the new rounds. See if it performs like the other and saves some bucks on helmets to test. Lol
No. I'll just carry on like normal......
I have been looking at getting a zastava M57 (Tokarev variant). I am hesitating because I have not found ammo for it. Does anyone know where to buy 7.62x25mm ammo online?
Suggestion: Opening up spam cans with power tools! :)
Probably not.
Great ammo. I'm down to just 2 boxes. Much better than the Bulgarian. 🤠
Yeah it's great stuff
Good video mike
