Fun fact: A Feebas transferred from Gens 4 will still remember its Beauty stat, and will still evolve if it was maxed. You don't even need to FILL all 8 PC boxes, just stick one thing in all 8, and more unlock.
I just wanted to say that what starts here is the best post game walkthough of BW there's on the internet. You covered literally every corner in a wonderful backtrack and showed how big it is, I learned to love this "after-story" path I didn't know anything about before.
Michah 20 How about spending three weeks trying to hatch a Shiny Froakie with a Naive nature only using the Masuda Method (didn't have the Shiny Charm).
I love it when the game is made to have you complete the "story quest" (with credit roll afterwards for added effect) before actually allowing you to beat the actual game. It brings some unexpected charm to the game and even adds value to what is considered the post game, as it is up to the player to become the Champion out of self-interest for the game itself rather than the story-especially when the player has with them a Legendary that _most likely_ was there to aid the player immensely and defeat the main antagonists, thus making Reshiram/Zekrom feel more like an actual team member to help win you the title of Champion than just a really freaking powerful Pokemon that you brought along just because. Of course, if not handled well, it can fall hard on it's face, but when done right as seen with Gamefreak's Pokemon Black/White, it brings a resounding amount of catharsis when everything is complete and the only thing left to complete _period_ is the Pokemon League. Well done to this series for accomplishing that, and I hope this style of writing and game design rears its head again in future main Pokemon games. :)
Explorers of Sky does this twice. Once when you beat the first dungeon, and the supposed final boss. (It's about a decade old, but I refuse to spoil it)
Interestingly, the critical capture breakdown is identical for Gen VI, as well. It maxes out at >600, likely because so few Pokémon were added that there wasn't much of a need to rebalance the distribution. Anyway, this was mentioned, but for anyone who wants to know exactly what makes a critical capture better... It's just that there are fewer roles, and thus fewer checks for the Pokémon to break out. The capture formula itself is not changed, it's just _mathematically_ more likely to catch things because they have fewer opportunities to escape. As demonstrated, though, even the critical capture is sadly not infallible... With a Quick Ball, too. Very shocking!
A neat trick: One Pokemon per PC Box = more PC Boxes. Therefore no filling up of PC boxes just to get more. You only need about 2 dozen Pokemon to max storage out.
Also I didn't know that Cheren let Ghetsis escape(don't know why thought considering what happens in the next game) but I did know about Bianca not recurring The trio gym leaders in time.
Looker's Back! And so is Emile. So happy to know you are feeling better, and so ready to see the rest of this series! Excellent birthday present (mine was yesterday).
F*** YEAH SEAKING! But ah, Black white postgame. I forget exactly why, but I recall after beating the game the one and only time, I did very little postgame, besides going to route 11 once. Neat to get a good showing of it. Also, Looker's gonna say "ghetis notwithstanding" every time, isn't he? Never knew about the critical capture. As someone who does usually like to catch every first stage or so, that's really nice.
He's finally back to kick some tail, and in this episode Blair is visited by a strange man with an even stranger speech pattern and is tasked with tracking down and arresting all of the remaining Plasma Sages. There's no way they could be hiding in all of these weird side areas that we couldn't access until now. No sirree Bob. Can I be just another person to say "Thank you Gen 5 for making Feebas not a pain in the ass to find?" Too bad, I've already done it. I liked Milotic on paper, but due to its sheer rarity I've never been able to properly use it on a team in a game where it was easily available like this one, and I have a policy of not adding new team members post-E4 so my only experience raising Milotic is EXP Sharing it to level 60 by fighting the League over and over just to have some competent levels before finally trading it over and back for evolution (by the way, thanks again Gen 5 for making the Prism Scale a thing; Contest stats are kinda dumb). The rest of the 'Mons discussed I have not much else to add to the conversation. Emile basically ticked all of the boxes in his bios.
If there's anyone who can do BW's postgame justice on record, it's you Chugga. Generation five has rekindled my love for the franchise on numerous occasions. The franchise is a year older than I, and I've played it all my life, starting with the originals up to third gen. Fell out around 4, but years later I emulated White and fell in love again. The past 3 years I've been marathoning all main series games for a personal quest. Gen 5 made me fall in love with catching Pokemon again. It's why I'm catching a living Dex per gen now. I absolutely love the Fishing rod being a post game quest. I love the super rare, and insanely high leveled, post game encounters. The rustling grass and similar phenomena feature is one of my favorite things to come out of the games. I can't wait for you to show others what merits Unova as a great region, and gen 5 as great games, much like you showed me with Platinum.
Okay first of all, OH MY ARCEUS, CHUGGA YOURE BACK!!! Second of all, I'm really happy you are back Chugga, I've been having such a bad week so far, but I'm glad I found the light to guide me out of the cave of darkness. From, Donut
Pokémon Black and White Versions Epilogue: (A Tribute to Chuggaaconroy) (Before we start, if you’re going to say this is “cringy” or anything similarly rude/offensive, then don’t bother reading or replying to this; This took me quite a while to write with several edits along the way, and I REALLY don’t feel like listening to your negativity. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all-Did your parents never teach you that? Also, there’s a pretty big TL;DR warning below, and since I’ve warned you about it, you’ve officially forfeit the right to complain about it. With that, enjoy.) Over a month has passed since the fall of Ghetsis and Team Plasma. The Gym Leaders who appeared on the scene in N’s Castle, along with Alder, were hailed as saviors by the populace, but they adamantly insisted that credit for saving Unova should go to the three young Trainers from Nuvema Town, especially Blair. The Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and Champion resumed their duties, with the latter two training day and night to ensure that nothing like Team Plasma ever threatens the League again. This also had the effect of curbing Alder’s wanderlust, as he still harbors some guilt about his defeat. N, the boy who could talk to Pokémon, took to the vast blue skies astride Reshiram shortly after the crisis and was never heard from again. To this very day, he remains Unova’s most enticing and wondrous mystery: How could he talk to Pokémon? Who were his parents? What was his role in that crisis? And above all, _who was he?_ Cheren, motivated by a renewed sense of purpose (helped along by his unexpected, come-from-behind victory against Blair), headed off to train in Victory Road to pursue his ideal of strength. Bianca, who was never much of a battler, stayed to her personal truth; that her love for Pokémon knew no limits. Therefore, she returned to Professor Juniper’s lab to be her loyal assistant. As for our hero, he and his venerated Pokémon may have walked away from Unova’s greatest modern-day crisis with victory in tow, but the stress of the whole ordeal had finally caught up with him. For the first time in his life, Blair was faced with a foe that he couldn’t defeat with a Pokémon battle: Appendicitis. After suffering intense pain that refused to go away, Blair was admitted to the hospital to undergo surgery, with each of his worried-sick Pokémon standing by his bed. Some time afterwards, Blair recovered, but after THAT, he came down with a flu and discovered that he had a tooth infection afterwards. After a few weeks of being out of commission, Blair safely came home, to the overwhelming relief and joy of not just his team, friends, and family, but to everyone who had heard (and seen) the news of what happened to their hero. Indeed, Blair and his truly unique Pokémon would be remembered fondly for generations to come as the next Heroes of Unova, but before his legacy would be truly cemented, we go to him in his bedroom, some time after his trip to the hospital; He’s refreshed, recharged, and ready to take on Unova’s eastern half:
The bios are actually my favorite part of your pokemon let's plays. I'm not deep into the competitive side of the game so learning about the stats of the pokemon and the viability as certain styles of team members really excites me.
Here’s something I’ve always wondered; Why is it called the National Dex? Since it’s for every Pokémon in the entire world, why isn’t it called the International Pokédex?
I agree, after Gen 4 it didn't make sense as I think it's confirmed that Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh are all in one "country", while Unova is separate for them - it isn't trademarked or anything, so changing it to maybe World Pokedex (as we call it the Pokemon World) would've been now more appropriate.
I remember reading somewhere (I think it may have been Bulbapedia) that the reason they start you off with 8 boxes is to make saving faster. It makes sense; it's just another aspect of the game they wanted to make faster after coming off the glacially slow Gen IV. I believe you don't even need to fill up the boxes either to expand to 16 and 24; you just need at least one Pokémon in each.
I just started Xenoblade 2 after the finale. I now appreciate Archeops' nickname so, so much more now! Chugga even referenced his Equip Quote back in episode 21 as well! I love it!
Oh my god.. This is why his second episode was called "Mama Was A Looker." Because Looker was dressed as the player's mom. Or not, because in the description, he said it was based on a country song.
In case no one has explained it yet: The PC boxes, you only have 8 because it makes it easier for the game to save, when the game saves it checks all your boxes in order to record what pokemon you have, thisincludes checking empty boxes, as such, reducing the number of boxes to 8 speeds up the saving process as the game doesn't need to check for the extra boxes that haven't been unlocked yet.
SO glad you're feeling better after your flu, infection, and appendicitis and you're back to videos. I had been wondering what had been going on since I knew about PAX East, then guessed you had gotten sick soon afterwards. Then I read your Twitter last week, and said to myself, "I hate being right sometimes." I've a rough few weeks myself (sick on Easter, family and work issues, PLUS my dog got attacked earlier this week on Tuesday). Your videos always help me with my mood and today's was no different. Hopefully you're through with your bad luck for the rest of the year and we can look forward to more videos from this channel and TRG!!!
25:07 Funny thing about that Chuggaa. I gave myself a challenge by using a Ledyba/Ledian in Ultra Moon for a while and she was the only reason I beat Totem Lurantis.
Warning us about the bios? Not gonna lie the bios in your Pokemon videos are some of my favourite parts. It’s always interesting to hear your opinions on different Pokemon
I guess Chugga's mom really was a Looker!
Pikachu2Ash omg kill me
Ya beat me to it xD
Why "omg kill me" ?
I thought his mother was a trap!
Noice
I just died with the “My mother is MULTIPLYING!”
Fun fact: A Feebas transferred from Gens 4 will still remember its Beauty stat, and will still evolve if it was maxed.
You don't even need to FILL all 8 PC boxes, just stick one thing in all 8, and more unlock.
“Mama was a looker”
*“Mama was a looker”*
*“MAMA WAS A LOOKER”*
Eduardo De Lara make that 2
GOD DAMMIT
Arkoos your right he did Called it back then
WAIT, OH MY GOD I NEVER REALISED THAT
what makes it even better is he CAPATALIZED the L in Looker in ep. 2! He was hinting at the truth, trying to get us to see, from the beginning!
I just wanted to say that what starts here is the best post game walkthough of BW there's on the internet. You covered literally every corner in a wonderful backtrack and showed how big it is, I learned to love this "after-story" path I didn't know anything about before.
I was _not_ expecting this today- but i welcome it with open arms!
If you followed his twitter you would have seen it coming
^^^
Jimbob Joe I don't have Twitter either
Luis197 you can check twitter without having an account.
Some people don't like Twitter -_-
Is this a new Chuggaaconroy episode about BW's Postgame?! I must be dreaming!
Nope! He’s back, baby!
I get the pun
I'm happy too, I feel like I'm gonna explode
There's a Musharma behind you so yeah you're dreaming.
Mathew Ricafrente you make it sound like it's an okami bonus episode
22:51 As a guy who tries to get the right natures for the Pokémon he catches, this made me smile.
I'm trying to get a hp fire timid fini you wanna know how im feeling?
Michah 20 How about spending three weeks trying to hatch a Shiny Froakie with a Naive nature only using the Masuda Method (didn't have the Shiny Charm).
Noah Schneider X^X
i imagine looker being voiced by adam west, it just makes things more fun
pokemaster250 That made my day. Looker West is the funniest thing I've thought of today.
pokemaster250 Well.... Not now....
Why not David Tennent?
I mean the character was based off the design of his Doctor

Cute pfp .-.
Oatmeal Cream Pie Could you perhaps truncate so I can better comprehend your opinion?
Explorers of Sky does this twice. Once when you beat the first dungeon, and the supposed final boss. (It's about a decade old, but I refuse to spoil it)
dang so much info, you should have warned us.
Y'know, call it a *_BIO HAZARD!_* :P
Ancient Memories of Looker Unlock.
I see glimpses of why I love him more and more every time he appears. I am ALWAYS excited to see Looker.
Chugga's back.
Tell everyone that the hiker has returned to Unova.
Glad your okay.
Also I love the Bios of the pokemon.

I know him from earth. We are good friends
"Only sudden instances of post game Pokemon being to late to be helpful"
Foreshadowing. Oh the foreshadowing.
Blair really aims high, champion isn't enough for him apparently
I still like Ledian, I'm gonna use him someday
Teeeeechnically, he's NOT the Champion.

Okay in all seriousness, glad to see you feeling better Emile!
Best. Birthday gift. Yet.
Glad you're feeling better Chugga :). I think we'll all definitely love the bonus videos even more now that you're raring to go!
Finally you're back! I hope everything's going better for you now.
YOU DIDN'T SAY YOUR PATENTED "NO!"
MY FAVORITE SERIES IS BACK
I am so glad this is back and I really love how you are handling the post game so far!

Holy arceus he’s back
Yeah, I never knew Looker was in Unova!
PRAISE LORD HELIX
I knew looker was here I was talking about how long it took him to make the after game
I can't express how much your videos have changed my life Emile. Cheers
I've been using an Ariados in Heartgold and she's been pretty alright. Just takes awhile to get its good moves.
Buddy Free I actually used one on my XD team one time and it was one of my best team members. Signal beam. For. The. Win! >:3
Shadow sneak and sucker punch through level up are pretty cool too.
Buddy Free Yeh. Too bad those moves didn't exist in Gale of Darkness. I would've totally used Shadow Sneak if they did.
And it only takes two more Gens before the Leech Life buff happens and Ariados becomes a beast.
Buddy Free in new games he's better with better bug moves
Okay first of all, OH MY ARCEUS, CHUGGA YOURE BACK!!!
Second of all, I'm really happy you are back Chugga, I've been having such a bad week so far, but I'm glad I found the light to guide me out of the cave of darkness. From, Donut

Welcome back, friend. I've seen how things have been going on Twitter. Welcome back.

Wow, was not expecting to see this. What a good day!
Edit: And now he’s hitting on people already so early in this episode!
The bios are actually my favorite part of your pokemon let's plays. I'm not deep into the competitive side of the game so learning about the stats of the pokemon and the viability as certain styles of team members really excites me.
I was just thinking of this! Welcome back!
Happy to see you back Chugga! glad your feeling better now
Good to see you back Emile! I have missed this series and hope your good health persists for many years to come!

Great to have you back Chuggaa. On to more adventures with this criminally underrated post game!

I think we all wanna see him go after Kyurem, right?
Arcturus I'm looking forward to it.
Yeah. But, it's gonna take a while. Maybe Route 1 to Route 11 pathway?
Glad to see you feeling better and back to yourself chugga
Its been one thousands years
Oh my god..
This is why his second episode was called "Mama Was A Looker." Because Looker was dressed as the player's mom. Or not, because in the description, he said it was based on a country song.

“It’s so good being the dominant one!”- Chuggaaconroy, 2018
You’re finally back! Welcome!
25:07 Funny thing about that Chuggaa. I gave myself a challenge by using a Ledyba/Ledian in Ultra Moon for a while and she was the only reason I beat Totem Lurantis.
So glad you're back and in better health now! I know this long wait will be worth it.
Warning us about the bios? Not gonna lie the bios in your Pokemon videos are some of my favourite parts. It’s always interesting to hear your opinions on different Pokemon
