I am 36 and over and have given up haha.
But I have more peace about not actively looking than what I’ve felt when I have intentionally looked. It wasn’t coming naturally and I had to ask the painful question of why.
It’s been a really tough journey in recent years but I have gained a new perspective since my Dad’s passing; This life is but a blink of an eye to waste it on chasing a shadow that probably has nothing on the life to come after this one is over.
Jesus died in His 30’s and the disciples gave their life to His cause. I realized marriage is good, but I’m probably not looking at the bigger picture if the Bible says all that it does but I’m constantly hung up on finding a partner (who I’m probably only going to have the pleasure of sharing my life with for one short quarter of it) just to ease the pain of loneliness.
I have come to believe that if God wanted me to be married right now, I would be.
I have no idea about the future, but right now I’m marveling at the fact that I can say, ‘God this really hurts but I still feel your love and trust You’ and be genuine. This would’ve been impossible up until last year.
