This was a tough one with my husband puttering around making all kinds of noise -- but I put the distractions into good practice. Gratitude for a husband who cleans. Gratitude for running water. Gratitude for morning coffee. Gratitude for these videos. I've been following along every day this year and what a difference it has made in how I feel physically and mentally. Thank you!

Today during Meditation for Humility, I was in my comfortable seat of choice (corpse pose for me) when Adriene said, "It's four minutes of your life..." and something about this statement opened my heart and the waves of intense gratitude began to consume me. With tears streaming down my face, I meditated. I saw each and every privilege come across my table and when I went to wipe it clean, the waves of gratitude continued to crash over me. This life I live is so priviledged. I have so many opportunities. And I am so grateful. I met with God and myself on my mat today and I said thank you for all of this life. The waves of gratitude are crashing all around me and I pray they never stop crashing. Namaste.

Was feeling upset by someone disrespecting and belittling me in a meeting at church, didn’t want to confront them,shout or cry in front of them, as this person is overcoming cancer. So this meditation helped me to think rationally and hopefully cope calmly with my anger and sadness 🙏💕
Just know that you dont need to shout at them god has that covered. Dont listen to them because theyre speaking out of a dark place that they dont mean hopefully god can lifhten their heart and theyll apologize. I always live by the thought that if the criticism isnt true or if it isnt constructive then ive done nothing wrong so for them to be so upset means they’re struggling so in my head i say a small prayer for them and continue about my day. If my anger is too much deep breaths walking away and writing down why they are wrong and why they probably done that (like being in a dark place due to cancer) helps becaus ei know theyre hurt and need help from god Hope this helps! I wanted to leave a note of encouragement for anyone who is also following the Renew calendar, but a day "late," a little off. The past two weeks have been tough for me to stay consistent with my practice. When I started on January 1st of this year, I made a commitment to myself to come to the mat everyday AND to allow for flexibility. I didn't want this to become another attempt at perfection that would leave me feeling less than or make me want to give up if I missed a day. This note is for anyone else who is allowing themselves to show up in their full humanity, imperfectly perfect. Thank you to Adriene and to this community
Dearest Adriene, I've been practicing your videos since August 2017 and I've never missed a day. I won't tell you how much it's helping me both with my body's strenght and flexibility and with my mental flexibility. I've been suffering of some issues for many years, but this year I'm making the hugest improvements and I'm pretty sure practicing with you is making the difference, I'm learning to let go and to accept myself and others. I've never felt like writing a comment before, as I don't like "exposing" myself so much, but for the very first time today I ended my practice crying. I've always been scared of breathing deep and of meditation, but I was able to go through the whole video and to focus on my breath. Thank you so much for being there, even if you don't know me!!! :)

It's hard to keep being humble when someone close to me is being disrespectful and mean and I feel raising my voice is the only way to make myself being respected. Very appropriate topic for me today. As always 🙏 ♥
This one brought me to healing tears. For those of us who grew up with abuse, the term "humility" can be very charged. I started the video with skepticism and gave myself permission to stop it if I found myself triggered. I should have known that Adriene would never use the concept of humility as a club. Instead, I found myself able to access that well of pain that is so often capped tightly in self-protection and grieve the child who needed stillness but had none. Internally, time became fluid, and I could give her this gift from a place of security. When I bowed my head to my heart, I consciously thought of giving over the need to control to the need to experience and feel. The tears haven't stopped, but they're the good tears, the rain on parched soil. Is this the day I determine to meld a meditation practice to every Yoga session? Very possibly, and if not every, at least most. This almost 13 minutes did more than much longer in therapy ever managed. It uncapped the well.
for me, child's pose/extended child's pose feels like a place of comfort. i sought this meditation for humility because i've been noticing an increase in my desire to control things (even people, to an extent) that are beyond me. i sought this meditation for a chance to reconnect with surrender, in an effort to find comfort and peace even when i am not in the driver's seat. it's amazing how these metaphors for life exist in yoga; after regular practice and deeper discovery it seems as those metaphors and lessons have been there all along.
I cry evey now and then doing yoga with you, when I realize I finally can rest and sit still without panicking or having anxiety… I finally know who i am what i want what passionates me … im glad i found you found yoga and all the amazing pple who are helping me doing this work without them knowing❤️❤️❤️
Day 4 Meditate - Really struggled with this if I'm being honest. My first days of properly trying out meditation. Couldn't sit still for 5 minutes at all, but I'm hoping to find the stillness within this month. Lots of love!
Hi Lena, I’ve struggled with meditation and mindfulness myself for years. I wish there was a stop button to give the thinking mind a break... Its normally a struggle for me to be patient during meditation videos (constantly checking the time) but today I was surprised not to check how long was left every two seconds!! So my advice is for you to be patient and don’t be too hard on yourself as this is a skill which comes with time and practice. Keep it up and congratulations for showing up today 😄

Like being transported away from my body, but... Inwards. I wasn't floating outside of my body, I was so deep within it that there was no world around me, just stillness, peace. Wow. I want to come back there, often
Dearest Adriene, I cant remember how / when I stumbled upon your grace. However it was with much joy and gratitude. You YWA and community stayed with me throughout 2020 the tough times and even more tough times (such as this week today). With 2021, I set my intention to self - to practice Yoga on Mindfulness on regularly daily basis. Whether be it coping of as way of life (eventually). Am still embracing it on day-to-day. I was able to remain still for all five minutes although it was rather challenging during the last two minutes. My body wanted to move, to respond and with a deep breath, I remained still in silent mediation. In the past I have meditated with the sound of bowls or soft music but, silent is wonderful because it allows you to really hear your breath, the sound of birds in the distance, and the creek of an old house grounding down. Today I felt a real blockage around my heartspace while doing the meditation, that is interesting! Especially since I did "Yoga for Head and Heart Opening" just yesterday evening. But just being aware of it is great, now I can go into that feeling and see how it changes over the day! This is such a wonderful guided meditation. I love tbis so much. As a wheelchair user it's a joy to get out of the chair, feel free and let my body relax. You're wheelchair yoga video is one of my favourite go to yoga practices. It would be amazing to see some more guided meditations aimed at releasing tension and negativity in the body. Thank you for every video you share and your help in providing calm and stillness and learning to love the amazing bodies we've been given no matter their shape. I've had a love hate relationship with my body since my accident and I've really learned to reconnect with my legs through your videos. So thank you.

This was really awesome! I do meditate almost every day, but almost all the ones I do these days are breathing focused so much that they've become exercises themselves. It was nice to just sit there and practice stillness and deal with my thoughts.

i have started doing your yoga and meditation again because I had a panic attack this past Saturday and my pulse was still in the 100's so I went to my doctor and he prescribed me an anti-anxiety med but I have not had to take it because doing your yoga and meditation day and night have helped to manage my feelings that I was having and has been lowering my pulse rate back to where it should be so thank you Adriene and I will keep doing these practices every morning and night because they help me so much with getting in tune with myself. Thank you so much Adrienne, I’m a long time yoga follower of yours and this meditation was wonderful, i loved coming back into stillness. I recently hurt my knees badly and couldn’t do as much yoga, which was hard and scary, but it has giving me the opportunity to find some stillness and grace in that stillness.
Every time I think you wouldn't surprise me with a practice you always do. I don't know how you know what we need but you do and after quite some time I found myself smiling after a practice again, thank you, seriously ❤❤
As a beginner to yoga I found this blissful meditation much easier than some of the more challenging flow sequences! But I love it all, just do what I can, and each day I can do a little more, and a little better and for a little longer. Loving the journey, thank you so much 😊

I hope this comment finds you, Adriene. I have been practicing yoga at home with your channel for a few years now. This meditation practice surprised me with a lot of emotional release and how I really needed to surrender to the heart. So, I just wanted to say thank you. Your specific practices seem to always arrive at the right time.
Meditation is new to me Adriene. I think this is a perfect introduction and made me feel an amazing calmness. I totally forgot my buzzing head of what is on my agenda for today and it is having a lasting effect. In our 10 minutes I did notice a little pain creeping in which I could correct with my breathing and also the need to correct my posture slightly but overall the stillness was wonderful. 🧘🏼♀️😊🙏💕

I will absolutely take the invitation to continue the romance of meditation! What a beautiful 4 min that was!
This one brought me to healing tears. For those of us who grew up with abuse, the term "humility" can be very charged. I started the video with skepticism and gave myself permission to stop it if I found myself triggered. I should have known that Adriene would never use the concept of humility as a club. Instead, I found myself able to access that well of pain that is so often capped tightly in self-protection and grieve the child who needed stillness but had none. Internally, time became fluid, and I could give her this gift from a place of security. When I bowed my head to my heart, I consciously thought of giving over the need to control to the need to experience and feel. The tears haven't stopped, but they're the good tears, the rain on parched soil. Is this the day I determine to meld a meditation practice to every Yoga session? Very possibly, and if not every, at least most. This almost 13 minutes did more than much longer in therapy ever managed. It uncapped the well.
for me, child's pose/extended child's pose feels like a place of comfort. i sought this meditation for humility because i've been noticing an increase in my desire to control things (even people, to an extent) that are beyond me. i sought this meditation for a chance to reconnect with surrender, in an effort to find comfort and peace even when i am not in the driver's seat. it's amazing how these metaphors for life exist in yoga; after regular practice and deeper discovery it seems as those metaphors and lessons have been there all along.

Day 4 Meditate - Really struggled with this if I'm being honest. My first days of properly trying out meditation. Couldn't sit still for 5 minutes at all, but I'm hoping to find the stillness within this month. Lots of love!
It's super difficult! The more we practice and fail and succeed together, the better we will be as a whole
Hi Lena, I’ve struggled with meditation and mindfulness myself for years. I wish there was a stop button to give the thinking mind a break... Its normally a struggle for me to be patient during meditation videos (constantly checking the time) but today I was surprised not to check how long was left every two seconds!! So my advice is for you to be patient and don’t be too hard on yourself as this is a skill which comes with time and practice. Keep it up and congratulations for showing up today 😄
Stick with it! Soon you with crave the stillness and 5 minutes will feel too short!

Dearest Adriene, I cant remember how / when I stumbled upon your grace. However it was with much joy and gratitude. You YWA and community stayed with me throughout 2020 the tough times and even more tough times (such as this week today). With 2021, I set my intention to self - to practice Yoga on Mindfulness on regularly daily basis. Whether be it coping of as way of life (eventually). Am still embracing it on day-to-day. I was able to remain still for all five minutes although it was rather challenging during the last two minutes. My body wanted to move, to respond and with a deep breath, I remained still in silent mediation. In the past I have meditated with the sound of bowls or soft music but, silent is wonderful because it allows you to really hear your breath, the sound of birds in the distance, and the creek of an old house grounding down. Today I felt a real blockage around my heartspace while doing the meditation, that is interesting! Especially since I did "Yoga for Head and Heart Opening" just yesterday evening. But just being aware of it is great, now I can go into that feeling and see how it changes over the day! This is such a wonderful guided meditation. I love tbis so much. As a wheelchair user it's a joy to get out of the chair, feel free and let my body relax. You're wheelchair yoga video is one of my favourite go to yoga practices. It would be amazing to see some more guided meditations aimed at releasing tension and negativity in the body. Thank you for every video you share and your help in providing calm and stillness and learning to love the amazing bodies we've been given no matter their shape. I've had a love hate relationship with my body since my accident and I've really learned to reconnect with my legs through your videos. So thank you.

I have been on a journey of living my true self....and tonight I felt this meditation was yet another piece of the journey. I ended with tears, tears of peace. This was really awesome! I do meditate almost every day, but almost all the ones I do these days are breathing focused so much that they've become exercises themselves. It was nice to just sit there and practice stillness and deal with my thoughts.
It's been years since I've practiced any form of yoga or meditation. This video brought me back to the peace and complete balance I used to feel. Thank you!
i have started doing your yoga and meditation again because I had a panic attack this past Saturday and my pulse was still in the 100's so I went to my doctor and he prescribed me an anti-anxiety med but I have not had to take it because doing your yoga and meditation day and night have helped to manage my feelings that I was having and has been lowering my pulse rate back to where it should be so thank you Adriene and I will keep doing these practices every morning and night because they help me so much with getting in tune with myself. Thank you so much Adrienne, I’m a long time yoga follower of yours and this meditation was wonderful, i loved coming back into stillness. I recently hurt my knees badly and couldn’t do as much yoga, which was hard and scary, but it has giving me the opportunity to find some stillness and grace in that stillness.
Every time I think you wouldn't surprise me with a practice you always do. I don't know how you know what we need but you do and after quite some time I found myself smiling after a practice again, thank you, seriously ❤❤
As a beginner to yoga I found this blissful meditation much easier than some of the more challenging flow sequences! But I love it all, just do what I can, and each day I can do a little more, and a little better and for a little longer. Loving the journey, thank you so much 😊

I hope this comment finds you, Adriene. I have been practicing yoga at home with your channel for a few years now. This meditation practice surprised me with a lot of emotional release and how I really needed to surrender to the heart. So, I just wanted to say thank you. Your specific practices seem to always arrive at the right time.
Meditation is new to me Adriene. I think this is a perfect introduction and made me feel an amazing calmness. I totally forgot my buzzing head of what is on my agenda for today and it is having a lasting effect. In our 10 minutes I did notice a little pain creeping in which I could correct with my breathing and also the need to correct my posture slightly but overall the stillness was wonderful. 🧘🏼♀️😊🙏💕
