RT handles better, more nimble, and fun on twisty roads. Adaptive CC on the RT, not on the K16. Better wind protection on the RT, tires last longer. Power to weight ration of the two bikes are very close, and their really is no difference in acceleration. RT is the more capable bike.
Sorry...I'm the one and only person to give the video a thumbs-down probably. I was disappointed that the video was not a review shootout discussing how the differences affect ride/handling/performance, etc. Anyone can go to a website just to read specs.
@@kengaskins1 the boxer maintainance is definitely lower. However it is only natural that the cost is higher for a better/bigger bike. I had R9T and GS1250 before, they are good (R9T looks amazing especially after my mods), but they are not amazing. I have booked a K1600 and will have a more informed opion soon
False. K1600 does not handle as well as the RT. Boxer engine is more reliable. Suspension on the RT is better and does nor crash over bumps like the duolever
@@lyndonohue3350 I've owned both. I like the RT better as an all round bike. More fun on the back roads and capable on the interstate. I like the tire life better too. The K1600 is better riding two up on the interstate.
Any comparative done for R1200RT vs R1250RT?

K1600 is better in all aspects except weight and fuel consumption.
What about maintenance costs? One of the reasons I bought the RT is because the maintenance costs were less.

I try the seat position with my girlfriend and compare to RT we were more comfortable on the GTL
