Nope. As you see in the video it threaded right in. It wasn’t the stock cable but I do believe even tho it was from an older jap bike it was the same thread. Sold this bike over a year ago but it’s still on there and still working
My 1100 is a dual cable 1 obviously for the return. Can I change it to a single cable throttle tube like this. Currently making mine into a bobber/chopper
Yup absolutely! Mine was dual cable (push/pull) there is a spring on the carb side that controls the return. The second cable is really just a fail safe or if your main cable breaks in the middle of nowhere you can use the second cable to limp home lol… ask me how I know First time using this single cable assembly from Emgo and I love it so far. Any bike I’ve built previous I remove the second cable for a cleaner look regardless and reused the stock throttle assembly. It’s a 10-15min job
Those handle bars are bad ass bro it's looking 👌👊🙏
Much appreciated! 🙏 love the feel of them. There an odd size but fit the bike perfectly
Great video, where can I get it?
Do you think it would be the same process to do this to a xvs650
isnt the emgo throttle tube work with standard and not metric? did you have to drill it to fit the yamaha cable?

Awesome thanks I will for sure be doing that
No problem
So just get rid of the bottom cable on the throttle?
Where do you remove the push cable inside the carb?
Bad ass man. Should of just removed the fork cans and gone with gator boots
Thank you! I’m going for a specific look with the lower fork covers. There’s more to come with that lol. Working on a foot clutch for the next episode
I have a 2000 Yamaha 1600cc.. I am currently on episode 2 on my project. Do you have an email so I can send you my progress? If you are interested…
