Everytime I tell the ok owner about a car I think is in good condition and a sellable car he ask how many doors does it the have. He knows I like big cars

That GTX is a '70, the grille opening & 1/4 panels are the tell. 70 grille is completely level at the top & only has drop downs under the headlights(like the black one with red fenders a few cars down).
1/4panel is essentially smooth(except the fake scoop), where 68s & 69s will have a clear eyebrow stamped in them near the top.
I 'think' the wagon is a 69, based on the grille. But idk if it carried over to 70 or not.

The vin on the 70 gtx is on the dash L/H front corner under the glass. But the dash could have been changed L/H top of radiator panel & L/H side trunk lip under the rubber seal about 2 to 5 inches in from rear end . If they match the dash number would decode it to a degree. Could only be a 440 or hemi gtx. More than likely a 440 car. But could be a 440 6bbl car. 👍

@wingedanglers fair enough. Mate I have a 70 plymouth the same car but in original grandpop condition. Only its a sport satellite not as desirable as the gtx but in really good original condition all the same. I wish mine was born with those plates. I am about to paint and stripe it up like a gtx. Being in Australia and limited to what I can get my hands on as apossed to youse guys in the states it will have to do. 👍 plus also does the yard there post small items to say Australia. Once payment was received for item and postage.

@Doggymcdoggy664 Somewhat, but depends on how long the given example ran in production. Example- these 68/69 Roadrunners/Satellites will use the same lens both years, but will be dated 68. Those 70 RRs/Satellites it's a one year only lens.
But say a square body Chevy/GMC pickup ran 73-87; but Suburban & Full size Blazer went thru 91; all with a 73 date on the lens. Ford trucks & vans were similar as well.

    • @wingedanglers

Chevrolet was bad about that. Motorcycles are like that to a degree.but if they could get away with the same lens for a few years they did..Honda especially

1968 tallites are different than 1969 on a roadrunner or sattelite. Another taillite lens that was used a lot of years is 1967 corvette first year it was used on chevrolet passenger cars impalas and biscayne says 58 on that one . Another easy way to identify if a car is 1968 or newer is the side marker lites .not cornering lites
