I owned the mercury version of the 54 ford starliner... and it was a rust bucket in the sixties. A 239 flathead engine with a automatic and just a real dog. I thought it was the best looking rig ever tho. My favorite was the 57 ford and had several 40 ford coups
thanks for the video! why dont these lots cover the broken out windows up?? clearly they dont care about the cars, its just the money!!! as an antique/ muscle car restorer for 40 years here in the south. we never saw sheet metal like this!!!! thanks doloff u guys are the truth!
Sad to say, but I would rank the vast majority of those cars outside as only good for parts. Most likely rusted underbodies and I bet the interiors are rodent infested, sitting out in the open like that.
Thank for the video. Those are definitely some great cars and trucks for someone to buy and put back on the road. Some of the cars I'd try and just get them running and put seat covers on the seats and just go for a cruise
@hutmgr These are mostly solid western bodies. Not east coast rusted bodies, so that makes a big difference to anyone who doesn't want to do hundreds of hours of bodywork. Secondly, it's all about supply and demand. Stuff like this is worth whatever someone is willing to pay, and this place has been selling this stuff for decades for a living.
Beautifull cars mate but the cost to restore these days out weighs the cars.. restored 50,s cars are not selling , only a handful of models are selling. Saw a 74,75 matadore 401 at batter jackson with no reserve, one owner car, one family car,, it sold in 2 minutes $800,, the owner stood up and started screaming i am not taking $800 for it. They didnt even try to sell it. I dont like Fords but the Cream/green, $6990 2 door Galaxy lookin car was a beauty.
@stevedriver1476 50s cars sell well over here. Especially GM stuff. All cars are expensive to restore but that doesn't mean we crush cars that need restored. Some people to it for a hobby or the love of old cars. Thanks for watching! Have a great day.
I remember renting these same types of cars from Rent-A-Clunker in Florida back in the 70's!
@WOOD-BOOGER-lc4fl that must have been cool renting model a fords back in the 60s. 😆
Thanks for this video and website. I am looking for a classic, and now have another place to see!
Another great vid, thanks for sharing!👍Montreal Quebec Canada 🇨🇦
Love the cars! Wish I was at least 10 years younger, I'd be coming for a Mopar. ❤
Fabulous opportunities.
Thanks i enjoyed this
All these cars are alive and well cruising around the streets in Havana Cuba 🇨🇺 saludos amigos 🙌

Is the work petinia another word for rust. just love the '61 rambler 4 doors. I'll be sure to run right out there'
@@craighannon4532 for us, rusted thru holes are rust. Light surface rust is patina.

In my 79 yrs, I finally got it thru my head. Everything in this world, is about the 💰.

@@1946luke I am sure some do. Contact the owners if interested. Their website link is in the video description.
Those are all good prices considering the prices of the new crap they make now.
You should have went inside there's really nice stuff inside
@jamesheath5825 yes there is but the inside isn't open at this time of year. Maybe in the Spring. Thanks for watching!

It seems like most of those cars have the same 2 problems. 2 doors to many but great parts cars
Well how much is the 71 Polara WITH hubcaps?
@michaelwhite2823 there is a link to their website in the video description if you are interested you can go check it out.
👍🏁🇺🇸
Way too much money for cars that need extensive repairs
@charlielaudico3523 Stuff like this is worth whatever someone will pay, and they have made a living selling lots of these for several decades.
Where are they coming up with these prices? Way too much money for cars with fair bodies and just shiny bumpers.

@ Ok! I stand corrected..but I did enjoy the video. Had ‘65 Caddy just like that one. Forest green with a black hat! Loved it.
@@hutmgr that would be a sweet caddy! Did you see the 67 we got at the Colorado Estate video we did just before this one?
@@DolloffAntiques no but I’ll be sure to look for it. Thanks.
