I love the whole no boots on thing. It makes me smile. I'm in and out of a machine all the time and it pisses me off, my floor has to be swept out every day.
I’m starting a similar project tomorrow and its nice to get another perspective on what’s to come. I’ve done it a dozen or so times already, but I am happy to see what other poeple are doing and get a refresher….. Thanks for sharing
you cant tell that man respects and takes care of his machinery, takes his shoes off when he gets in
Shows no respect to worker in rain, if something happens he needs to put shoes on before he can help his buddy.
But he runs verry smooth he knows what he is doing.
Eline tack it took him all of two second to put his shoes on u seen that when he got out to hook up the pipe
On the safe side, always best to have three working, the digger driver, drainage guy and the labourer, who is the provider of tools, pipes, ect and the spotter, I know I'm a labourer and proud!!
There’s a thing called money and just those two are saving it big time by not having a third guy
This guy is a damn good operator he has a lot of videos
What is really impressive is that all the works are being done by just 2 guys!
I know,2 guys!!!!trench guy,top guy,loader guy and how guy where I work.and not counting the Foreman...their definitely saving money..lol
@@donniesamples7285 this comment makes me laugh. When I graduated high school I went to work straight away and landed a pipe laying job like in the vid with 0 experience. We had guys that were there for months and still couldn’t lay pipe right, we had like 5 guys including me in a trench trying to grade and lay pipe lolllll. That doesn’t include our operator, foreman, loader operator, and an older fella who couldn’t do much but was there for moral support lol.
Could be a rain day deal, foreman digging, everyone else called in sick!
I used to work similar to this just me and the excavator operator, we had an awesome set up going had everything down to a tee
It went to shit when they started adding more people into the mix
It didnt help us out at all if anything it slowed us down and broke up the rhythm we had working the same way day in day out for nearly 2 years
I love how he's running that thing in his socks! Now, that's relaxed, you gotta admit.
+Mike Rodgers keeps mud out of the cab for sure.
+KarasCyborg I know guys who run harvest machinery in their socks for the same reason. It keeps the dirt and dust out of the cab, and it's more comfortable when you might be doing a 16-hour shift. He put carpet in his combine cab. White carpet, even.
Agreed id do the same thing
scab piece of shit
@@AndrewHecker85 i work like that too. HArvesters make a lots of dust
Very skilled - I could watch this all day there is something hypnotic about this particular camera view.
Bcbbxbhshwhio. Zxjdjejehhddhehdhehehehehethbr we my
Thank you for posting a machinery video where you can here the machine.
for some reason i could watch this all day...
it is the same reson i could do this all day
In your hands it looks so easy ... perfect job!
Greatings from Poland!
Great work! I love the carpet you have in the cab, comfort at work! :)
Fast, efficient two man operation. Nice.
I agree. Very impressive.
Top video! Besides the obvious I've learnt a few things from this that will help alot in future, cheers mukka
Excellent skills my friend....all the best from the UK
doing this at work once I had the cable slip and the pipe went swing and hit me and through me into the side of the way. lucky I wasn't hurt. those pieces of pipe are heavy and can do alot of damage
I always find it amazing thinking about how much effort it would’ve taken to do things like this by hand..
I do this by hand but for houses
Como por ejemplo los romanos, eran buenos constructores
Молодец, сам подцепил, сам отцепил, хороший машинист, уважаю
Good operator and efficient crew.
That is your best video ever!
Love watching your videos! Very educational! Only thing in this video is the fact that the guy is standing in a 2 meter high trench with no shoring. Has the lightest benching. Safety man :) Other than that keep these coming
That is most definitely a lot deeper then 2 meters!
It's not bad but it's not very fast
Immer wieder toll zu sehen das damit jemand umgehen kann.
nice video, like the operator keeping the mud out of the cab, and still willing to get out & hook up!! nice.. would like to see operators around here that would keep inside looking that good
jeremy kruse be nice to get a new machine where every man and his dog hadn't been in it before you,or changing from one machine to the next,I hear what you are saying though ,have a bracket made up to hold your dirty boots be lovely.!.
This man is a great operator needs to keep on his boots and a hardhat
To Jan Willem, they are working with a laser. it is positioned in the beginnging of the pipes. When the excevator operator is placing the tube at 0.34 you can see in the tube the green point of the laser.
Really good operator!
very good and accurate
Brilliant videos ! :)
Great view and video. Thanks.
Thanks :)
Very good operator. not enough oooooooos in smooth. He knows what he is doing.
Great video!
Dang that’s a clean cab!
What settings do you use on your gopro, I've just recently purchased the Gopro silver hero4. Been recording a few videos at my work, slowly but surely figuring out the unloading to TH-cam lark.
Liking your videos.
Great team!
Det er hid til den bedste video du endnu har lavet :D
Skilled Driver Champion
i really like how you take off you shoes to keep the cab clean!
Good thing that laborer never got crushed
Great job...
Good job!
very good Video and a nice Work :-)
Nice to have that other guy there helping you might start my own digger/landscaping business one day
Excavation is an insanely expensive business to get into and if you don't have a whole lot of extra money to get by until your customers decide to pay, which in the US they have either 90 or 180 days to pay unless otherwise stated, you could find yourself in financial trouble really easily and go under before you even get the chance to do another job. Good luck and make sure you have back up plans for your backup plans
Very good operator
the guy in the trench is pointing where the bucket should go and how much deeper he should go, thats why he is so close to the bucket, he is basically telling him to dig so close to him, which at least here in holland, is very common, if you dont follow those instructions they will just call in another operator, also lifting with the bucket on is normal, the only requirement for lifting is a safety hook on the back of the bucket or quickhitch and approved chaines, a trench box is not needed as the trench is sloped...all i miss is a hardhat
and he is slewing over the guys head
also.....we have some operators at our company who are hasty.....this guy isnt....
lloll
Very good experienced lads nice to watch
i like the sound of the hydraulik
Amazing skill
Elsker at se nogle danske kanaler :-)
Man that guy can move some dirt. Looks like a lot of fun.
Smooth operator
8:03 Fired.
Lol multiple safety hazards!
OSHAAAAAAAAAAAA
Just wait for 2 sec untill the guy at the bottom walks out of the way
He is ready for his Danish roll break
This guy knows what he’s doing.
Godt arbejde. Hurtig og sikker.
The biggest excavator with whom I worked was CAT 324D. Nice video. Whether you're doing. :-)
good operator..your cab's interior very clean..not like at my county..very hard to find very clean worker like this...
godt arbejde og dejligt at se du holder så godt øje med din håndmand
Lil homie got skills with that escavator.
Don't you have to put any gravel or sand under the pipe and compact it?
Going shool construction machine operator and I love this job
hey guy, great video, is that in your country this job pays well?
Parabéns pelo serviço bem feito
OPERATOR LOOKS SMOOTH SAFE DITCH GOOD JOB
No shoes. Carpeted pedals.
good video ! :-)
good job...follow a safety and earthwork prosedur....
so how do they connect the pipe pieces?
i just like the guy he respect machine buy working in socks and stay clean sow he have a good clean room inside there
cant wait to be doing this as a job. and they r using very short pieces of pipe u think they would use longer pieces
Pretty good bro.. I like the fact you keep your cab clean. Should have one more guy there to hook up the pipe , but is reasonable maybe you guys were short on personnel.. oh and don’t swing over people or trucks (cabs) big no no . 3 point count on getting out . But fuck it good job lol
Man fluent skill to use heavy equipment very very very good
Great job step trenching, you need to come to the US and give some lessons. Are you using a pipe laser to keep grade and alignment? Keep up the good videos.
dobra robota! świetny film, pozdrawiam :)
I like so much ser you operating!😍
Interessant. Var det på Djursland?
very good driver 👌
Digging it out
you need some tunes in that cab!!
Great job for just 2 men
we had an operator like him once we called our hall and our laborers union got us a new operator this guy works unsafe scab!
Unions are for pussies... pussy.
no no no union is for men. we are trained and very well skilled and we build America! you non union scabs rats thiefs work with illegal mexians for cheap and un trained and no benefits and no retirement plan. so while I have benefits and retirement and a guaranteed job and money and im trained so whos a pussy?
Matt Nigro Its also funny that you mention illegals... it's your damn unions that are supporting the Democrats who are currently flooding the border with illegals at a record rate.
dont hate cuz ur a scab fuck you
Never swing a pipe over anybody, safety first.
god, theres always one safety nut.
I've worked excavators for 15 years, and what he did was dangerous, period ! Why did he not slew left rather then right over the trench ? If you had a concrete pipe swinging over your head you might see my point. He's a tasty machine operator, but his awareness of danger is severely lacking.
i too am a digger driver in England and i agree with Jimmy!! Saftey is key!!!
This seems to be a major problem among many excavator operators. Especially the older ones.
They ride in the bucket, they jump out of the cabin without 3-point contact. Slew the wrong way etc!
It is never a safety "nut" .It is part of working safe and going home to your family each evening. I totally agree, that is a stupid move swinging over a hole man
Hola muy enteresante merci por el video
I don't know much about construction but holy crap that sounded like an awesome video what of been nice if I could've understood what was said in the beginning though
This guy is gut worker
Muy buen travajo jenial .saludos desde chile
You dont test the seal of the pipe? arent you worried that it might not be sealed correctly and leak?
ที่ไหนครับ
Where are you working?
Props for shelving/shoring, but that 15 ft mound on the left edge is a disaster waiting to happen.
Hvad hedder dit job?
nothing but inexperience from the operator to the pipe layer. No top man around to talk about!!!!!
None needed
thanks
good experience
The Volvo is a good machine?, Volvo or Liebherr?
Very good Excavator Opretar
Very good
good jobs
Why no trench box’s? Would cut spoil down to half and a topman saves you getting out of machine
So Danish construction equipment don't back up alarms?
I have a couple question....so you're not surrounding the pipe with sand or gravel? And not honching the dirt in around the pipe to secure it in place. Do you not have problems with it shifting or ground settlement down the road once its been backfilled? Also whats with the walls of the ditch? That's horrendous slope work especially for such a small cut.
It's RCP, a little more durable than CPP, he is putting a couple of inches of bedding material down, don't see the need to surround the pipe with import material.
The cut is about 16' using a bench/slope. According to OSHA regs, which don't apply in Denmark (I'm sure their regulations are similar if not stricter), the soil is a cohesive damp clay, which classifies it as a Type A soil which allows for a 3/4 to 1 slope or 53 degree, which the cut just about is. I'd heel the bedding material in with the bucket for better compaction but by using the straight edge teeth with almost no intrusion into the virgin clay, compaction is going to be very solid. The operator or backfill operator is going to place probably 4' or 5' of soil on it and then roll it with a large compactor, thus locking in the sides. Fairly standard way to lay pipe. You can tell the operator has been doing it for a few years and has decent skills.
david427steel True concrete pipe is durable...I wasn't questioning the pipe strength. When we lay pipe no matter what size or type we will fill with sand or rock to the spring line (center of pipe) and then pack (honch) the material down with either a straight edged bar or jumping jack depending on size. This will lock the pipe in place which will prevent the pipe from deforming into an oval shape or splitting when you put the weight of your backfill material over it. Once you've honched the pipe you will put in another lift of sand or stone 6"-12" over the pipe and compact it with a plate tamper. After that you can start with dirt. First lift is usually a generous one at 18-36" depending on moisture or soil and the soil type. As you said this gets packed with a large compactor. Every lift after that is a 1' lift compacted to 95-97% until you hit the 1.5m (5ft) depth mark. The top 1.5m of road has to be compacted to 100%.
To me that soil does not look like a cohesive damp clay. Damp yes.....cohesive and clay no. It's pretty free flowing in the way it tumbles down the pile and it looks more like a silty sandy material with some clay in it. His walls aren't swept down to keep chunks from falling in the ditch. I get the fact that everywhere is different when it comes to pipe standards but when I thin Europe I think high quality. If we built roads that way here we'd be out of work in no time. Offsite I could see but even then you backfill it like a road and give the customer the best product possible.
vantagetes Nice to see someone compacts soil according to the geotechs they must get a complex with everyone ignoring them. I've done it pretty much the same as the shoeless Dane. I do an even mix of underground utility street and site work, about 27 years of it. Never had a trench subside, never had a pipe deform (even CPP) or shift. When CPP first became popular around here I was on a job site I had taken over from the previous superintendent - a two campus school job just outside of Boston. It was next to a river and the ground was landfill. There was a run of 36" CPP going to a stormceptor (oil/water separator) that dumped into the river. The previous pipe crew hadn't taken care in backfilling and the pipe was snaking so bad you couldn't see daylight. All my runs, straight as an arrow. I was there 4 years ago as part of a 10 year QC audit, still straight as an arrow.
The clay looks fairly cohesive in it's native condition in the trench, it's hard to tell without at least doing them thumb test to it. On that matter, try not to think of this as an internet pissing match but I watched the videos you linked of your guys doing pipe. Find it kind of hard to understand why you would complain about the Dane's trench when yours is just about the same. What would give an OSHA inspector a heart attack is the 2nd excavator parked right on top of the side wall of the trench. And then of course there is the operators choice in music. :D
david427steel Taylor Swift is hardcore digging music my man haha.
vantagetes This is all true but it's generally the younger guys, the older guys only care about the $. When you are younger you care about the size of the machine. When you hit a point in life you only care about the size of the paycheck. I'd operate a PC35 for $70/hr before I'd operate a PC1250 for $30/hr.
