@@10zepp My first job as a backhoe operator in 1969 was riding with Don Hoe who was a backhoe operator for Bowers Tractor Service in Santa Ana, CA, I was suppose to get a chance to learn to operate a backhoe..But the tractor only came off the truck 3-4 times all week.. We were following a Chevron Oil pipe repair crew around their Huntington Beach oil patch. Don was nice to put up with a kid like me for the week. I had to move on. Took another 5 years to get back on a backhoe. Thanks Don.

It's really fun to watch the excavator driver how flexibly he or she carries out the control. You have to have a "tender" hand with a lot of feeling.
The attachment is new I have not seen them before I retired almost 2 years now and never saw a swivel attachment like that. And I am in the Los Angeles area. it is sweet! The operator, He or she? is a good operator. I hope the attachment and anything like this is more available, As it is a game changer! You might not know but that attachment and operator like that can save thousands of Dollars in a single shift! Can't begin to tell you how much time it saves.

Operator is 999 level, but don't forget engineers that created such amazing tool.
Engineers can't create crap without being given what would be beneficial in expediting a job from those who spend years operating heavy earthmovers on various construction sites. Without their direct input and experience, engineers wouldn't know what pieces of attachments, implements or equipment to create. If I had not spent a decade on construction jobs operating different heavy equipments, I would have done a lot of head scratching, but field experience helps a bunch, instead of just chairborning from an office chair.

This is truly unbelievable! The skill and speed by the excavator with it's various attachments is amazing! The driver is doing 95% of the work on the site and is a real hero, so I hope he gets paid 10 x as much per hour, as any of the others are getting. Why no picture of the excavator and driver?
The capital investment in the machine is doing 10x as much of the work. The operator is extremely skilled but his skill would have zero value if someone didn't foot the bill for the machine. Thus the lions share of the money goes to the person or entity that made the capital investment. This is why the increase in general productivity has not resulted in a general increase in wages. The increase in productivity is enabled by capital expenditure and the increased profits from it get allocated based on that contribution.
@@krisroadruck5081 Absolute garbage, mate. We are talking relative wages on the site, ok. So, how the hell would you know how much he gets paid, anyway? Does a Boeing 747 pilot get the same wage as the cabin staff? Does the tower-crane crane operator get the same wage as the stevedores? Does the ship's captain get the same pay as the waiters? Think before you write irrelevant nonsense.
@@johnsomerset1510 I am also talking relative wages. Assuming the rank and file dudes on the ground are making $30 you are asking this guy to be paid $300/hr.
Flight attendants make about $70K a year. Pilots make about $118K a year - note how that's not a 10x increase. Regardless of the fact that the pilot is 90% of the show, the margin between their relative contributions is captured by the airline... because they bought the plane.
All of this data is easy to look up - maybe try that before you try to paint someone elses opinion as uninformed champ ;-)
