Thanks! We have a new system, and the information you presented helped a great deal.👍

I've got the exact system you're talking about works great other than you got to reboot it quite often

Is it possible to see near real-time numbers through the app. I am asking because I want to be able to toggle EV car charging to only use a much as there is solar capacity.

Neat stuff, but I wish you would've explained how the system knows what each panel is doing, what parts are required for all of this to work, and if a DIY'er can do the same! If I go buy 10 of these micro-inverters and suitable panels, what do I have to do to see this level of info and how does it piece together for me to see this level of detail? Great advertising to sell a product, but realistically most of us are not your local customer but are obviously interested in the product since we're here...

      Hi,
This is Rajmohan from South India.
I recently installed a 9 kW system by myself.
I had used 20 nos. of 445 watt REC panels & IQ7a micro inverters.
I have a 20 years warranty on panels & a 10 years for the micros & 5 years for envoy device.

      To be honest,
It took me 2 weeks to install everything (note I am A DIY doing it the first time), including laying out the structures for panels, laying the micros, wiring, and configuring envoy and setting up.
Trust me it's very very easy, but just need to be careful with the wiring part (on micros, envoy (with phase coupler that I use it as a 3 phase system), the consumption & production transformers (the direction & placements of the transformers very important) etc., etc.,

      1. plan your solar requirent (as per space availability, power requirement etc.,)
      2. Buy the panel & 1 micro inverter for each panel
      3. Layout the structure, install the micro inverter
      4. The micro inverter has a DC adaptor, wherein you can plug in the +ve & - ve from the panel. This is the input.
      5. While for the output, there is a specially designed Q-cable offered by enphase,. This Q-cable has an adaptor (spaced at roughly 1.5 meters apart). This adaptor can be plugged into the output of the microinverter, from this you get the AC output directly. This Q-cable allows all the microinverter outputs to be connected in parallel.
      6. This output (which can be 1 phase or 3 phase depending on your requirement) can be terminated at a junction box on the roof. Can also use a suitable breaker.

      7. Now take this wiring all the way down to your Electric distribution, ( 2 wires for 1 phase / 4 wires for a 3 phase)
      8. This connection needs to be taken to the ENVOY device, which is the main part of this system for monitoring via the enlighten app.
Also configure your system is via the envoy device.
      9. Connect your wiring to the envoy device as per the diagram ( I have both the line diagram, for 1 phase as well as 3 phase)

      10. Optionally one can place the current measuring transformers (in case of zero export). There is a clear document available for installing this, on enphase website. This needs to be done carefully.
      11. You need to configure the system via the envoy device. The envoy device is the means for communicating all your data from the panel/micro inverters to emphase or enlighten manager / application.

I just log into my Enphase app. My app does not look like that, it does not have what my export is? What do I need to do to show what I'm exporting?

Hi! The company installed 29 panels on my house, but I only see 15 on the app 14 of them not reported that’s why I can’t see them on the app. Why that happened? Please help me thanks

      Hi,
Had you installed it by yourself?.
If you have access to the enphase installation toolkit for your Site,
Then login to the toolkit app.
Connect to the envoy (via wifi or AP mode) , to which your 29 panels are connected..
Once you connect to your envoy, scan for the micros reporting to your envoy.
It should show all the list of micros reporting to your envoy..
Once done with this and provisioning your grid profile to your micros,
Create your Array. You can design/build it by yourself in toolkit app or enlighten manager website.
Add all the micros to the Array as per your site installation.
      Once done, save.
Now you shield be able to see all your panels in the enlighten app..
      Hope this helps...

Same here, I had 29 panels and inverters installed. Only 27 showed in app. They had to come back out and find the 2 that were not reporting and register them to the system. all is working now.

My energy produced only updates every 6 hours. Can I increase the frequency of the updates?

My system is the same but I believe in addition to all the equipment installed you also need to have a "consumption monitoring system" I wish my solar company would've given me the option.

connect to your wifi and it will report every 15 minutes
