First time playing links awakening. Loved every moment! Don't ever stop making Zelda games with this "old" formula. It's what makes Zelda so enjoyable. Breath of the Wild was like dining at a fancy new restaurant. An exciting new experience, HOWEVER... Nothing compares to a good old home cooked meal. Don't go losing the recipe on us Nintendo ✌

Just beat it yesterday. Never played the original. This was a truly amazing game. Definitely worth the buy even if you aren’t a Zelda fan
Just imagine what it was like back in the 90's to have a full Zelda like this one on a Gameboy cart!
This was the game they made before Ocarina of Time and it's influence is strong in the latter: Malon and Talon are homages to Marin and Tarin, even down to Malon singing!
I feel like I have played this game before yet never played the original (Ocarina of time was my first), I wonder if this was sort of remade before.

No Name For the amount of hours, $60 is quite a bit but I’m a big Zelda fan so I think it’s worth it. It really depends on how long you take in the game, whether that’s searching for secrets and doing the chamber dungeons

Nintendo please remake the others 2d handheld Zelda games too. I would love The Oracle games, Minish Cap and Spirit Tracks on The Switch!
Spirit Tracks in particular would be great. Spirit Zelda is easily the best of Link's companions and the game was a lot of fun. I would especially love to see if they expand on the train mechanic and rework the overworld a bit. I loved that game, but I do think even more could have been done with the train mechanic. Don't get me wrong; I don't think that the train was underutilized; I'm just saying that I think even more could be done.

@@TheBruce1 When? Aonuma hinted OPENLY asked if it was wanted at a Zelda concert last year/asked the concert organizer on stage if "they wanted to ask about a Switch version of Skyward Sword."
Bobby Craig lmao they remade every game till now. Skyward Sword Hd is totally coming in 2021 for the 35th Zelda anniversary. Nintendo said they want to release a Zelda game every year. Next year will be BotW2 and the year after that will be SSHD. After that maybe the oracle games, who knows.

It's kind of funny that Breath of the Wild only gets frame rate drops in the Korok Forest while Link's Awakening is a much less power intensive game but still has more frame rate drops.

I gotta say with how companies try to remake movies now a days and they are never as good as the origional. its the COMPLETE opposite with nintendo! anytime they bring an old project back to life I am a million times impressed! Great Work Nintendo! another awesome release!

I knew I had to be doing something wrong when I spent 5 minutes chasing it around with the Pegasus Boots back when I had neither the bow nor the boomerang.
I just spun attack at the corner of the middle thing and it hit so I did that and didn’t know you could jump over him anyway because he turns around every time you hit him
Just a tip, most of the bosses can't attack you when you're in the corner with a shield. And flying tiles, just stand in the corner with your sword powered up.

xxnike629xx I completely agree with the FPS issue (as everyone and their mother does) but we just got LTTP on switch and the 3DS is still relevant even if Nintendo have stopped supporting it. You could be right, but i very much doubt it. Regardless, I realised you weren’t directly talking to Nintendo but I couldn’t resist :)
Oh yeah, a complete 3D remaining of THE MINISH CAP would be awesome, in real 3D, no bird's perspective, i mean, you could make it look SO DOPE by today's standards

A Link to the Past was never remade but A Link Between Worlds was heavily based off of it

I am old enough to have witnessed the original game and was overwhelmingly happy to see it being remade on a modern system. I also like how it’s being re-released on another handheld console. The sound is absolutely beautiful!

Zeldaniel Basically every time I tried to play a game the fan got ridiculously loud to where I could hear it over max volume and there was no air coming out the vent and it also was vibrating the system. It did that in handheld and tv mode.
JD I have no clue. I’ve had my switch since launch day and never had a problem until a few weeks ago it started getting ridiculously loud and vibrating the console without any air even coming out of the vent.

Link's awakening on the game boy was my first game. I hold games to a rather high standard because of it. I love it so much, even to this day its probably my favorite game period.
I just got the yesterday and so far, the game isnt dissapointing. I already passed Level 1 and level 2 and ive had lots of fun, keep up the great work Nintendo!

Except Somecallmejohnny called it "Wait for a price drop". He said that $60 was too expensive due to certain issues like framerate issues and Chamber Dungeon failing to live up to expectation.
