- 2021 Crf300l getting the larger Honda Brake disc from the 300 Rally. This brake disc is fully floating and will handle heat better then the stock L disc.
The bracket part number is 45190-KZZ-A21
The Disc part number is 45120-KZZ-A21
The brake disc bolts are part # 90105-KZZ-900
You will need, loctite, caliper lube, 14mm hex, 10mm, 8mm, 12mm deep socket
Its a good idea to throw a little grease on your axel before reassembly.
Hope this was helpful

The stump looks like a good camera tripod too 😂
Not a bad idea, might have to try that for the next video.
What do you want to see next
@@AceCarleton I’m not sure. I think that’s the first break rotor upgrade I’ve seen 👍 I can’t think of anything specific. I’ve been waiting on a crf300l since Oct so I just keep watching videos and gaining knowledge. How to’s are great. Motovlog’s.
Yeah, I ended up finding a lightly used crf300l in 2021 while on a wait list for a new one. Saved a few dollars and got to ride Vancouver Island that summer.
Nice job
Thanks! trying to record video on my beat-up old phone while doing the work is way harder then it looks. Hopefully I improve with practice.
great work changing the brakes one handed, thank you. What is the performance difference like?
It transformed the braking experience. You get way better lever feel and you get more braking with less lever effort.
It feels much better on the trails and in traffic.
I would definitely recommend this upgrade to everyone.
Nice work. Do you know if there's an upgrade for the rear disc too?
You can scuff the rear disc with sandpaper to increase bite. Or try EBC brake pads. And or a stainless steel brake lines
Are the PNs the same on ABS and non ABS bikes?
yes, they should be. The abs bikes have a separate abs ring that bolts on.
What is the difference in the bracket you installed?
The new bracket moves the caliper further away from the fork. This places the brake caliper and pads in the correct position for the new rotor.
Old rotor 260mm. New rotor 296mm
This fits to crf250L?????
Yes, i believe the brake discs are the same for the 250 and the 300s
It should work
