I have a hause in the mountais of colombia, "2.900msnm, 30 km from Bogotá, Im "patron de yate", would you exchange my house for you boat for an year or some time maybe...... months??
Everyone wants a bigger boat but i watch you because you have a small boat. I'm going to have a small boat, I'm not going to have much money, so i feel ill learn the most from people living the way i will. I'm not going to learn much from someone who can afford a 55 foot catamaran because they're going to throw money at every problem.
I remember Daniela when she first arrived. The shyness. I was also a little worried about her swimming in the beginning. Now look at you, Daniela! A flower blooming is very appropriate for her last 6 months. You have grown as well, Huub. You seem more relaxed and content. Isn't that what a good relationship is about? It is for most of us. Sail safe both of you.
@@HuubVlogsis the boat an alberg 30? If so then I have never seen one until now that did not have a flush bulkhead between the saloon and the head/hanging locker and then the v-berth..
The link to the alu cat..? Brilliant and open episode today; again deserved of even more patronage. Getting even more enjoyable and in the struggle top scrrtach build? seriously is a major undertaking and I know with your determination (proven by the fact you are still here and prospering) it will be most excellent programming. Looking forward to it.
Life will always be full of decisions, choices and learning experiences. I think of it as making memories. I get to choose to make the happiest memories that I can. 🤗💖⛵👍🐬🌞🐟🇺🇲S/V Cork ~Texas
You became in a very short time one of my favoured channels. Congrats, you guys are awesome! Regarding bigger boats: I had all between 30-55 ft and currently I’m preparing for my next time on water and buy another boat. I will shrink down for my next boat to a max of 38-40ft. Why? Because I can afford it no mattter what happens in the future. Buy a boat that needs constant big income destroys a lot of the experience. Also I go back from cat to monohull. The space is great but nothing beats the coziness of a mono (just my personal one maybe). But also again cost. Stay tuned and continue like this ✌️
Beautiful ❤ There's an old saying "What you haven't in your hand You can't hold " And " better out than in" So Fart and Burp 😅 its all part of being Human Stay Free and Safe Travels 😀 🙏
Since you mentioned medical care, I would love to get a sailboat , but I do have a few injuries, And a bad back is one of them so once in a great while if I throw my back out. I might not Be able to do anything except sit around for a few days up to a week , sometimes and moving Around on a cell boat would probably just be horribly painful. So I do wonder about that
Thanks for the honesty. My boat is just a little bit smaller than yours with no door on the head either. I think sailing with two people living in each other's sight to whole time will be life changing. I like the fart advice.;-)
How is Starlink? Is it stable? Do the waves cause connection issues? I work on large databases, and need stable connection to work. I would like to know if I can work while on a boat.
Best video yet as far as real discussion of + and -... Daniela, you have blossomed so much and what better guy to learn from. Have you watched Huubs house building series, he is a hard working guy! Keep it going!!!!!
Hey Huub, I can understand the idea of catamaran, big space, fast, going downwind is super nice (not upwind), feels like an apartment in the ocean so you need a big pocket 💰💰. BUT, man is more that twice everything on board. I agree that something a little bigger can help to improve the comfort and privacy aboard, maybe something like 35 feet or an Alberg 37⛵ so you can continue with the wonderful same style of boat!!!..... take care and keep going. 💪
I used to have a sailing boat (a 45ft trimaran, of a New Zealand design but built in Melbourne). Originally I was based in Darwin but eventually I took her to Fiji. Before the tri, I had a 28-foot boat, also a trimaran. My main motivation for "going bigger" was purely about comfort. If you live on a boat for any length of time, a small boat simply starts to get on your nerves! There's a lot to be said for being able to separate sleeping and, well, not-sleeping areas. You going for a cat is the ultimate answer, plus the fact that catamarans actually point better than monohulls! Trimarans do even better in that respect, La Vagabonde report that their new tri seems to enjoy sailing straight into the wind! Not sure if they were joking, but I do know trimarans tend to do quite well going upwind. Anyway, good luck with the catamaran plan. You're building or buying?
I really like the Mumby Cyber 48 a lot and plan on building one soon. As for a home, the best way to build a home in my opinion is by building it the way RR Buildings builds on TH-cam. I have a geodesic dome home on one lot and my attached lot is going to have a post frame home/ shop sort of like RR Buildings new dream shop and what Ambition Strikes just built. That way I'll always have a place on land. The dome home will be sold off as soon as I'm finished building it and that will fund the purchase of my boat and hopefully the sailing lifestyle. It's easy and affordable to build a post frame home but with a sailing TH-cam channel, you would loose subscribers if you switched to building a home. It might be better to continue sailing and eventually upgrade your boat to a lightweight aluminum performance cruising catamaran like a Mumby Cyber 48. It might also help your views if you were to build one or have it built for you why you film the process. With the money you make on TH-cam, you could purchase a home but being a sailing channel, how much time will you end up spending there. I hope that helps.
The trouble with bigger boats everything is exponentially more expensive . From dockage to blocks to lines , bigger is way more expensive . It can also limit where you can go , depth , of maybe there are no yards that can lift your boat . Twice as many engines is twice as many breakdowns .
For fun you could build a raft to tow behind the boat that you could fold up the walls run a wire from your battery to a bilge pump and make a floating shower for two👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 with two lounge chairs and a shower head tied next to the swimming boarding ladder in back. Maybe fold it back down and let the rope out behind the boat like a dingy. And tow it to your next destination👍👍👍👍👍
A bigger boat would give you more amenities perhaps an onboard shower with at least a half bath in addition to a full bath. Your quality of life is great, but it’s on the lean side.
I love your videos and both of you are great together. I'm too old to start sailing, but my wife and I bought a 44ft RV and we are now traveling all over North America. You have both inspired us and we can't wait to see you post new videos.
