Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on TH-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on TH-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on TH-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.

The most talented group ever put together. Best drummer, best bass player, best vocals and who can leave out the great Pete Townsend on that guitar writing all their music

No band before or since can equal how good the Who were live at this time in their career.

I saw The Who in 1970 as a young man, they played 3 hours, with no opening act> Sonic Power Rock...my ears are still ringing. Killer show. Real Rock Band
like The Who don't exist anymore.

How's that for intensity! The Who were a force of nature. Their rendition of "See Me, Feel Me" from Woodstock is another one worth checking out. And I'm really happy you always mention the phenomenal bass playing by the late, great John Entwistle. The guv'nor of bass players.

The Who have many epic tracks but my favorites all come from this era, a perfect time that joined youthful energy with quality musicianship, creating a raw and powerful sound that was unmatched. PLEASE check out My Generation from their Live at Leeds album - a 15 minute medley with one banger of a riff after another. Like a runaway freight train, it keeps on coming. Keep up the great reactions.

First cardinal rule for a rock band invited in a rock festival: don't go if The Who are on the program.
Second cardinal rule: don't play after them if they're on the program.

Awesome! The Who were one of my first "loves" as a teenager and I still enjoy their music. I do miss John Entwistle-met him in CA when he was touring clubs with his own band during a Who hiatus. Lovely, funny man. And yes, the Who's intensity was astounding! If you want to see another high intensity performance, I know you checked out Rory Gallagher, but check out his "Shadow Play" performance from 1979 Montreux. Crazy!

With the concert CD and film, this is only the third song into the set. 😮🎸 They played most of “Tommy” and other songs. Early morning hours at a huge festival, like Woodstock. And, like Woodstock, many got there, pulled on the fences, and didn’t pay. It was a financial disaster for the folks who set up the concert. There is a documentary “message of love” -this concert with The Who also had Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Moody Blues, Joni Mitchell, Free -it must have been “epic” like Woodstock. Much of it was audio recorded, much filmed -can get several of the musicians sets on CD.
The Isle of Wight, if some don’t know, is an island on the south coast of Britain. Across from Portsmouth. You have to take a boat, or plane over. (I went on a Hovercraft, in 1987) A fine island. Yet all theses fans, the bands, stage equipment have to go over to the island.
There have been a number of other musical festivals there over the years, big musical names, The Who have returned.

Keith played part of this song without his right kick drum. You'll see him pointing at it at about 45 seconds in on this video. He then moves his right foot to his left kick drum while his drum tech is presumably fixing the issue. You never see the drum tech, but whatever was broken was fixed quickly...a pedal I'd guess.

Entwistle had the leather skeleton suit made for the show and did not try it on before they performed. He commented later that it was so tight in the crotch that he could barely move without crushing his package. Since he rarely moved at all, most did not notice. Townshend started wearing "boiler suits" because he was tired of the band's focus on fashion; he wanted work clothes...

Got to see The WHO twice, but well after Drummer Keith Moon "The Loon" had passed, but the energy you commented on was still there. Guitarist Pete Townshend, Vocalist Roger Daltry and bassist John "The Ox" Entwistle (RIP), carried on for decades, Entwistle passed in 2006, Moon in the late 70's, he was only 31. On the cover of his last album with the band "Who Are You" Moon is sitting on a chair with the words "Not to be taken away" written on it. Very sadly ironic. Pete and Roger are still touring, I think, but it's obviously not the same, hey they're in their 70's, what the hell do you want!?

There was never ever anything "average" about the drummer Keith Moon, known as Moon the Loon for obvious reasons. Blowing up toilets with cherry bombs was a favourite of his but he was a brilliant, original drummer who like many died way too young at 32 from a drug overdose. He was one of the first drummers to have a kit with double bass drums. The singer, Roger Daltry (with the killer jacket), once said that when Keith started playing it was like a jet engine starting up behind him. The bassist John Entwistle also died young aged 57 so the guitarist Pete Townshend and Daltry are the only two left but they do still tour and perform together.

This is a great song, but for the record the performance from Live at Leeds is superior to this one.
