I agree completely, other excellent live Who tracks are Relax from Live at The Fillmore East 1968, Bargain & My Wife live in San Francisco 1971 which were featured on Who rarities comps in the 80's and the versions of My Wife, Baba O'Riley and Won't Get Fooled Again from the late 70's on the Kids Are Alright soundtrack.
EVERY (except Kel apparently) teenage record collection in the 70's had Live at Leeds! Listen to Young Man's Blues from this album at ear-bleeding volume levels...not kidding here.

The Who!! The forefathers of punk. Yet they stayed pure, in their rock n roll. Now...I'm heading over to the website, for my suggestions. 🤘🤘 #feelthemusic
You two are the most fun to watch, ever. Rich, you are blessed with a gorgeous wife, who shares your love of music, but who is just coming into the world that we all grew up in. And Kel has the perfect partner for her new adventure. Every one of your videos is like listening to these songs for the first time all over again, and I thank you both for sharing that! ;-) My daughter is a blues guitarist and singer in Nashville with her own travelling group (Nikki Barber and the Minks), and watching her come to her musical 'place' has been the wonder of my life. Can't wait to hear Kel start to rip on her guitar!! ;-)
Thank you so much Richard. What you have written really lands for both Kel and I. Thank you for being so bold and honest enough to share this. We just live that you are choosing to hang out with us. We just posted 2 new vids from yesterday. Prong and Savatage. Have fun with those.
Kel-n-Rich "Water" from Isle of Wight is just is GOOD! In the same vein. Also, Tommy, all songs at the same concert are AMAZING. Young Man Blues is my favorite performance EVER!
New subscriber but long time Who fan. Saw them in 1968 in Saskatoon Sk when I was 16. Still the best concert of my life! They returned to Saskatoon in 2018. I was hesitant to see them as I never got over the loss of Keith Moon and Ox - John Entwistle. Very glad I went. Great concert. Zak Starkey on drums was terrific! They closed with Won’t Get Fooled Again and it was magnificent ... rock at its best!
I queued all night for tickets to see The Who at the Newcastle Odeon in 1973 - one of the best live concerts I ever saw - incredibly exciting to see them perform on stage.
Watching the Who is always a unique experience. It's three car crashes happening simultaneously with John anchoring the whole thing with those loping bass lines.
The Who, Young Man Blues, Live at Leads. My dad showed me that in 2001. My sister was in a ballet lesson at the time. I have a very visceral memory of my dad climbing back into his VW Jetta, closing his door and saying to me "Son, I've got something I wanna show you." Up ti this point in time, I'd only ever heard "wheels on the bus" and other kids songs. My dad pops in the CD, and The Who proceed to methodically blow my 6 year old brains out. As far as I'm concerned, the Who have always been and will always be *ROCK AND ROLL.*
The WHO are amazing, and I am sorry for the loss of your Son, Rich... You honor him in sharing you Love and Joy of Music... Isle of Wight, Live at Leeds and that era are amazing. Keep smiling and sharing!💜☮️✌️😎🎼🎶🎵🎸🌎🔊
Hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha!!!!! You two... I saw them "5" times in my short life.the first in 1970. You can't imagine what it was like then. The loudest show I've ever seen. Period! And I've been to probably 100. No other band outdid them. Greetings from Sebastian Florida.
Thanks for playing this. I was at the Isle Of Wight festival in 1969, and they played Young Man Blues, along with about 20 more songs. And it was SO good.
You can't go wrong with The Who, they were a popular singles band that got into making incredible albums later. All 4 members were incredible, Keith Moon is amazing to watch in old videos, twirling his sticks, tossing them into the air to catch them just in time for the next beat. He was bigger than life with the soul of an imp and the face of an angel.
You know what. This is one of my favourite videos on TH-cam. Not the "Young Man Blues" but this actual live reaction. The look on your face is what I imagine my face must look like when I listen to "The Isle of Wight". It is like a bomb going off. It is incendry and still incredible after I have watched it for a millionth time. I have never seen a better rock performance than this.
Just watched it again to catch more of your facial expressions - which were priceless! :-) You asked where the song came from. It's an old blues by Mose Allison that was a staple of early who concert sets. I wouldn't be surprised if they're still doing it on the current tour (just Daltrey and Townshend now, but likely a great band behind them, though nothing compares to Moon and Entwistle. I was a little late in truly appreciating The Who myself. I'd always loved the hits, but seeing them live in '89, '96, and 2000 (especially 2000), plus multiple solo Townshend shows really cemented their reputation for me. You should definitely seek out the rest of the Isle of Wight show, plus the "Live at Leeds" album (make sure it's the remastered version which has more than twice as much music as the original single-vinyl album). Their performance at the Concert for NY (just after 9/11) was not perfect, but quite powerful. So much #who to recommend. Email me, my friends. I've got stories. :-)
This performance by The Who is off the charts INCREDIBLE.......but I'm so sad to hear about the passing of your son. My sincere condolences. Thanks for all the great reaction video's from you and Kel!
Seeing you experience all of these bands for the first time is fantastic!! Don't be too angry about missing out when you were younger though Kel.... if you had experienced these bands when you were a kid, you might not appreciate it as much as you do now. I grew up listening to all of these bands, and sometimes I am guilty of taking them for granted.
Wow memories, seems like yesterday being at the Isle of wight festival that weekend, it was just amazing. Really lucky to live so near the Island and able to see all the amazing bands of this time, one of course was Jimi Hendrix. The Who were amazing.
The Who at their prime. Townsend called it their "glory years". I was fortunate to be able to see the band a year before Moonie passed away. Such a memorable outdoor concert (it was just The Who and The Grateful Dead) and they both kicked ass in their respective ways. I really appreciate you paying tribute to them. I also recommend you check out some their tunes from the Woodstock concert such as "Pinball Wizard". Thanks again.
Hi Kel-n-Rich, I have really enjoyed watching many of your reaction videos, thanks for sharing them with us. Young Man's Blues is an old Mose Allison song that Pete really liked. The Who really are unique, and the late great Gary Moore once said after coming out of a Who concert as a 14 year old in Belfast in 1966 that after seeing The Who he felt like he had been in a fight! And he said that The Who were the first punk band and I think he summed them up pretty well? Do check out The Who's 1975 album Who By Numbers, it is a largely forgotten hidden gem, and has some incredible songs on it.
My favourite reactors! Kel, you still with that dude? Seriously, I understand how you feel when you hear this and wonder about what you were taught. They told us what not to listen to, so I kept a list and played it when I could. Don’t let them get you down... Anyway, this is one of my favourites and I am glad to see it here!

Hay Kel and Rich, Fantastic, what a great choice to take this one!! Listen to the bass of John, may he rest in peace, if it's possible more blues, should be very nice. Greetings from Amsterdam. Bye Bye. 🙂🙃🙂
Loved this! You should both do a review/reaction of The Who's "Young Man Blues" from the Young Vic show in 1971. It's the most kick-ass, in your face version. The Who took to the stage and showed no mercy and took no prisoners in that performance
Kel, I love you in a cool way! You are so awesome and I grew up knowing a few serious musicians that had never experienced some really great bands and musicians. Love you both! Keep bringing some awesome music.

Rich, have you ever seen Black Sabbath live in Paris, 1970? The full show as well as the individual songs are all here on the YT. Four months after the Isle of Wight fest. Pretty much a must-watch for Sabbath fans.
Saw the Who back in 1994, opening night of the reunion tour in Glens Falls...5000 seat show...Kel, you can still see the Who...Townsend, Daltrey, Paladino and Starkey (son of a Beatle) The Who lives !

Roger "Leather Lungs" Daltrey using 2 mic's proves that he isn't lying when he sings in Baba O'Riley "I get my back into my living". Pete and Keith feeding off each other like some sort of nuclear fusion.....while John Entwistle keeps it steady as she goes while the rest of the band soars into the atmosphere with awesomness!
Their isle of wight 1970 performance, is my favorite live performance ever.
