I also love love the Chanel Ultra Le Teint, it lasts and is easy to work with.
Loved the review and comparison. I agree that the Dior looks more matte and to me, it looks flat. I've been an EL Double Wear girl since it launched in 1997. ☺ I always try new foundations but the Double Wear will always be in my arsenal.

The Double Wear looks better on you. You should do a review between Double Wear and Studio Fix Fluid
The Dior Forever is a good one I agree, however I find it doesn’t always behave - it can sometimes appear a bit too matte, can cake up if you choose to build (even slightly), it oxidises, and it doesn’t wear as long and as flawlessly as the Chanel Ultra Le Teint . This Chanel foundation really is superior in every way, it’s just really, really good. It’s very long wear, looks beautiful on the skin, soft matte with some luminosity, doesn’t move around or sink into lines, very flawless - 1 pump is more than enough. Fits Chanel’s ethos of natural beauty as a natural looking light on the skin base. Estée Lauder DW doesn’t come close to either in my opinion - I don’t understand the hype over this foundation. So interesting, how different foundations work/ don’t work for different people!
Lisa W It is interesting how things work so differently for people. The Chanel Ultra Le Teint did not work for me. It was mediocre at best. It separated and didn’t hold up for more than a few hours, and it looked awful in photos. The packaging is gorgeous though!!! I’m glad it works for you!
They are both good and I would buy them both.

Dior Forever -- medium to full coverage, semi matte, pore refining, almost undetectable, buildable
Estee lauder Doublewear-- better coverage, natural matte, buildable.
Unfortunately it made me break out badly.

I have acne and Dior is the best coverage, no need for concealer. I try other foundation but always go back to Dior

I think both foundations look beautiful on you. I’m surprised the Dior doesn’t give flashback in photos since it contains spf. Nearly every foundation I own gives ghost face in photos & some, like Estée Lauder Double Wear, don’t even contain sunscreen.🧴Thank you for the review. 🌸😊
I was shocked the dior didn’t give flashback too! They’ve recently reformulated it, and I have yet to try the new one. I hope it’s still good!
@@AshleyEvansMUA Last year, I ordered Dior Backstage Face & Body. The shade I picked, well, when I saw it in person, I thought it was too dark for me (2N). I put it away. I got it out again, put it on and my daughter said it's the first foundation that matches my skin tone.🤦🏻♀️ I guess 🤔 I was wearing foundations that were too light for me. And probably the reason for the awful flashback 👻📸 in photos, aside from the other culprits.
@@Papillon724 The face and body did not work for me at all. It was a glorified tinted moisturizer and didn’t look good, or wear good through the day. Total disappointment!

Hi! I really like the Laura Mercier Blurring foundation primer! If you have oily skin, it's fantastic! If you are on the dry side, I'd recommend Stila One Step Correct primer.

My brush preferences change from time to time... right now my absolute favorite brushes are the Hourglass foundation brushes, I've never found any better than those!
What colour is the double wear.
The double wear is the shade Ecru… which since then I’ve decided to to a bit darker in shade with that formula.

So you mixed the 1CR and the 3CR why didn't you just try the 2CR
Great question… the 2CR pulled a gray cool undertone one me, as where the 1CR & 3CR were more pink. But 1 was too light and 3 was too dark… so that’s where the mix came in. Plus I could adjust the intensity over the summer when I got some sun.
@@AshleyEvansMUA i have the 2.5N and the 3N in samples size, one is too light and the other is too dark, I can mix them, but it make it so expensive if I have to buy two colours.
@@lindaalden2867 I know, it’s an investment for sure, but I look at it this way, if you have 2 bottles to mix, you get twice the longevity of one bottle.
OMG!! How much makeup did you come back wearing!! 😳 You came back looking like a makeup pallet!! Someone commented “you are so beautiful without makeup” (hint hint you are wearing too much) I agree you look more beautiful with the natural look. The foundation that I thought looked and applied better was Estee Lauder double wear.
