He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him before. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
He was in an american competition in 2019 called The World's best. But he was lied to and scammed before this show to sign for it. In his culture, children are encouraged and not competed. When Dimash asked if he would have to compete against kids on this show, he was assured that he didn't have to. Otherwise he would never have signed. When he happened to bump into the then 12-year-old Daneliya Tuleshova backstage at his last performance (the artists were strictly separate), he learned that he had to compete not only with her, but also with a 7-year-old boy. He then performed and immediately asked the jury for his resignation. The jury's reaction was beyond offensive and inappropriate.
    Greetings and love from Germany❤️👍

He’s not willing to sell out to become a superstar in America. He wants to retain control of his art; write what he wants and sing what he wants. He did sell out the Barclay’s Center, and is well-known in the US because of TH-cam.

Hi, well, what does it mean that Dimash did not perform in the USA, even as he performed, before the concert in New York, the airport had to strengthen security due to the huge number of people meeting him. And at the inauguration of our President, he also performed, and sang in his native Kazakh language. The interests of the Master are not limited to a certain country, he belongs to the whole planet and carries his mission of peace everywhere.

Dimash didn't sing at President Biden's inauguration; he participated in an internet program of Sister Cities International, honoring the occasion.

The entire concert in New York is available to watch. His interaction with the audience, humility, gratefulness, love is obvious. We are blessed to experience a rare gift from above.

Dimash can & does go wherever he wants to. Has been in the US on more than one occasion....a huge concert in New York 2019, & just last year, working with producer David Foster.
Dimash signs no contracts, which is why the US can't own him, his music, or what he does with his music.
He enters no contests ever again after the US insulted him at theirs in 2019, & that show only lasted one season because of it, I'm sure. Most Dears don't like to see postings of any episodes, as they've been cut up & totally ruined for presentation now anyway.

Unfortunately the music industry is so fickle, especially in the States. One of the things I love about Dimash is that he puts so much emphasis on being true to his artistic values and connecting with his audience that he's not willing to sell out just to "make it big in the US". That doesn't mean that he doesn't understand what making it big here would mean for him, but he also recognizes that because he doesn't stick to one genre of music (and most of what he produces isn't mainstream) it's hard for the music industry to stick him into a box. I think it's awesome that the Dears get to actually carry out activities that have a positive impact on his career, like working to get him played on the radio! Not a lot of fans can say that they do work on behalf of the artist and it actually means something to him!
Dimash is very special and, like you said, he's known and loved by a huge number of people all over the world. When he held his concert in New York people attended from over 60 countries; his first album went platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum in less than half a day. You don't have stuff like that happen without being insanely popular.

He HAS been in the States. Concert at The Barclays Centre...
And he didn't know English till a couple of years ago.
He sings in 12 languages but doesn't speak them. He's learning Chinese and English and speaks Kasak snd Russian.
He became a superstar overnight in 2017 at the "I am Singer" where he was invited as the only foreign competitor, and whose rules didn't allow a foreigner to be the winner. He was given 2nd place!

If you are a superstar in US what you call America is nothing if you only are a superstar in China only...only 336 millions citizens in US and over 1400 millions in China only ,,,what about If you add all the other citizens of Asia, Europe, balkan countries, etc..., can you see the difference? And yes, he performed in the US in NY, Barkalais Center ,,was completely sold out... he has been working in the US and is recognized and extremely respected by every American singer and from anywhere in the world...

Fyi on this particular song and contest. Dimash didn't actually win this one as China, at the time, wouldn't let foreigners win. That changed with Dimash's winning The Voice China I think the following year. This song is by a Russian artist named Vitas and some controversy arose around Opera 2 being used by this competition organisers. They didn't actually have Vitas' permission to use it and when Dimash went 2 octaves higher than Vitas, Vitas banned Dimash from singing any of his music in the future. Not sure if that still applies.

@@BelleNewman You're very right. My mistake. I re-read the article and it was The Singer and, according to the article, it was the popular vote. My apologies to all the Dears with knowledge superior to mine - I'm still learning.❤

I also live in the United States, more specifically in the Entertainment Capitol of the World, Las Vegas for 23 years and I have a lot of singers who are personally friends, but yet, NO ONE has even heard of Dimash..it was only alittle over 2 weeks ago that my roommate said to me that he had stumbled upon a singer on TH-cam and ask me if I had ever heard of a singer named Dimash, which I replied NO, so he played Dimash singing SOS on the show, I am a Singer, and I was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY!!! so I immediately called 2 people, my BFF, who is a phenomenal singer himself (a Las Vegas and Atlantic City headliner) and ask him about Dimash, I also contacted a dear friend who is also a phenomenal singer and a Las Vegas headliner and ask her and then I started calling and asking EVERYONE, other singers, my family and my other friends and I started posting on my Facebook about him and NOBODY had heard of him, WHY didn't NONE OF US know who he is?? WHY hadn't none of us heard of him before?? WHY hadn't none of us heard him sing?? WHY is he not known in the United States?? how can the GREATEST SINGER IN THE WORLD not be a household name in the United States?? WHY is none of his songs played on the radio here?? WHY is he not a HUGE movie star here cause he is a phenomenal actor, WHY is he not in GQ cause he is SUPER GORGEOUS..why, why, WHY?? anybody know these answers cause I REALLY don't understand 🤔

Supposedly, Vitas didn’t forbid Dimash. It was a copyright infringement by the show for not getting permission ahead of time. International copyright laws can be very difficult and expensive. Dimash could sing the song in private if he wanted, but not publicly.

You need to put something behind the screen because the color is washed out on our side. Since you have on a black shirt we could see that part better that was behind the screen.
