    Alex working under pressure! Not the pressure of the rocks or task at hand. But of having to have someone who obviously is clueless directing the job! This video is painful to watch and a testament to Alex’s professionalism and patience! From the beginning of the video the vibe was off from how Alex operates. He didn’t properly show us how difficult it was to even get Big Flipper in there. Hats off to Alex! Josh, you guys “Pepe”s” have a consummate professional in Alex representing your Brand to the fullest. ✌️

    I started watching this late last night. I think the sound of the ocean put me asleep. When I woke up the video was over. I went to bed and dreamed that big flipper had slid into the ocean. I had to get up and watch the video to make sure it was a dream. Thanks for sharing this terrific job.

    From the title I thought this was about removing rocks that had fallen on a house, when, in fact, it's about lifting rock AT a beach house. More like a $25,000 house on a overpriced $975,000 lot.

    • @Doubie.
      @Doubie. 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      Yea he didn’t have the best communication but in these jobs you have to stack everything together in a very particular way or the water blows it out like it was it’s not surprising he’s not getting what he wants right away with a crane op he’s never used before and honestly chains are the wrong thing to lift bolder with for this using chains over old school lift straps made everything way harder than it needed to be

    • @hj8607
      @hj8607 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@Doubie.Problem not using chains
      Rather inexperienced rigging.

    • @Doubie.
      @Doubie. 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@hj8607no it’s chains you want to be able to pull straps out without twisting the bolders like he wanted alex to do but chains will damage th and vise versa lifting straps will get torn up faster doing it but it lets you set in a basket then just yank them out with the truck
      Edit the wider foot print of the straps would help them sliding off too like the one they dropped to be clear you can use chain it’s just a lot harder than it needs to be that little small rock to get the chain off thing he did drive me nuts because the waves will move them and cause a shift in the wall changing the structure

    You accepted the challenge, and Alex admirably performed that challenge. The rock riggers learned a lot about rigging rocks, what we in the mid-west learn at an early age when digging and moving rocks out of the farm fields. Rocks are hard to figure out which way they want to slip out of their chains. But the rocks need to be put back in place (so they can be pushed back out into the ocean with the tide and wave action). Tractor tire chains are a big help to "net" the rocks.
    Good job and handled by Pepe very well.

    Too much help. Blue shirt take control Boss Guy. "Where's THE chain"? As if. There's a 30 foot one inch one buried in the middle of the tunnel. Get that one.
    Let's waste time countermanding his directions and explaining. "Let's get the chain off now" . . . Ya think? A good boss would know when to say where and then get out of the way. Good thing the Red shirt guys, their blue shirt compadre and Alex know what's going on.
    That second rock should do a pretty good job of taking out his deck when the rollers start crashing on the beach. Awkward placements. Not exactly cut stone.
    He is under a lot of stress, I'll give him that. Probably spent a lot of time on that deck thinking about it. " We got to keep moving". Let's ramp the stress up there some more. I figure a lot of outgoing tide time time was taken up in stationing the truck and getting it past that soffit. That is some close.
    Fuck me. 'Here. Catch this binder' tossing it down hill from 8 feet away, wobbly bits flying every which way. Bet that hurt. "Want me to get down there and help?"
    Hats off to everyone who kept their heads down, just kept going and didn't get crushed in the process. Job well done under trying circumstances.
    It's been said before, Alex has a wonderful temperament. Way better than mine. This is why I work for myself.

    Nothing like wanting your million dollar plus view but not wanting to spend the money on a proper sea wall. Those rocks will just get shifted by king tides.

    Alex 👍👍you need xtra money for this job. Those are some fast workers every once and awhile they seem to get a real boost. Alex I was worried about you that elderly lady was waiting on the other side of your truck 😁😁.

    How does that old adage go about labor rates? LOL
    Standard rate X dollars, if you watch X dollars times two, If you help X dollars times five!
    The job is stressful enough, Mr. Blue shirt doesn't make it any easier. Not only does Alex have to watch what he and the crew are doing but he also has to watch Mr. Know-it-all's butt so he doesn't get in the way or hurt.
    I'm surprised the state of Calif. doesn't have a law about non-essential people in a work zone.
    You're a bigger man than I am Alex, good on ya for remaining professional.

    I drove a crawler crane in my 20's in the Scottish Steelworks. I did a job one day for a manager who usually sat at a desk with a calculator. He explained what he wanted me to do. He then proceeded to tell me how to do my job. I said to him come up here and show me what you mean. He said I can't drive a crane. So I said I can, so butt out and let me do my job. Love , health and respect from Scotland UK.

    It’s incredible how powerful the ocean is. All this man power to move a few boulders meanwhile the ocean just toss them around like nothing.

    It would have been so much easier if they pre drilled the rocks and put hooks in them .
