this happens not because the engine is weak, the zero actually has second the weakest engine in the game, it's because the zero is so light and it's wings are one of those high lift wings so it has a lot of excess lift for it's weight and that allows it to fly without half a wing
and if your wondering, yes SoF is this realistic.
Do note this probably wouldn't happen irl cuz the plane would go in a spin and the pilot would have little time to prevent it, I was able to apply opposite rudder at just the right time to prevent a spin, and i still constantly have to use ailerons you can see
