Keep it up. I have an 89 dually diesel 1'st gen and currently drive a 96 4wd 2500 with the 2'nd gen diesel. Gonna build the 89 as finances allow. Watching your mods will give me more wisdom in my own endeavors with the 12 valve diesel engines
If the black rosado is still a problem you can look into an axle dumple by just cutting further back. Trucks coming along good, can't wait til the 2nd gen is bought.
If you haven't done it yet, definitely consider doing the KDP. I just bought a 1997 cummins (granted, it has 360k miles), and the KDP had fallen out when the previous owner owned it. It cracked the whole timing case, so $222 later I ordered all the parts to fix it. That's a day's worth of work and money that I wouldn't have to spend if the KDP had been fixed by the previous owner earlier!
I will! And yeah haha the guy we bought it off of left like 3 cans in the back of the truck😂 So I'll apply some here soon! 😅😅 thanks for watching brother!
I just got a first gen 12 valve Cummins 1993 5 spd 4x4 but it’s regular cab for $800 it’s 100 % all there but the motor hasn’t started in 5 years but I got it towed home and one day it will run
hey I suggest to check your steering shaft, front leaf spring back bushings. nice truck. there is cult following with these trucks plenty of info on forums too.
Also you don't really need a tool to change the wheel. You can usually just hold the lock and twist the old wheel off. If that doesn't work, hold the lock and give the old wheel a tap on something hard and it will break free so you can loosen the locking nut/collar. Anyway, I do love your 1st gen. Sharp truck.
Like the vidjas however for future reference you could of used a pair of channel locks on the grinder. Have done it many times with them and without a pair too lol.
Dalton Duke trust me lmao the whole thing would be black.... out powerstrokes did that and they don't even roll near as much coal lol idk how but they do
cool man I have a hoyte I haven't had the chance to shoot a deer yet I bought it last year the guy gave me a heck of a deal. Well sry for bugging you man have a great day, keep up the sick video's.
Yeah man for sure! I tried looking for them a while at first and couldn't find them, but ill be sure and make sure I have a pair next time! thanks for the feedback brother!
Hey buddy, Your videos are very fun and interesting to watch.. keep up the great work.. quick question... Trying to decide on a second gen or 1st gen.. now getting a view from someone who owns a first gen.. what can you tell me about it?
Glad you're enjoying the vids! And this one is my dads, we just picked it up less than 2 weeks ago... but all I can say is you can pop the hood and feel like you can fix anything on it easily! The only really big different between the first and second gen 12 valve is the body... some minor mechanical differences... but nothing much really... they fire right up and are a lot of fun! So I really couldn't give you a lot of detail on the real liability up to this point for us… But everybody else I know says these trucks can take a beating and will just keep on going! (The motor at least lol idk about the tranny😂)
Yeah im looking at an 95 extended cab 12v 5 speed dually 4wd thats lifted a single cab first gen 4wd sitting on American forces and a 94 extended cab 12v 5 speed 4wd thats lifted but i just cant make up my mind
once them tips are installed within a month it will be rusted on solid and will never come off unless your running full stainless steel setups. also there so heavy after a year or so it's going to fall off right when you least expect it lol. I've got an 05 Cummins had it since it was new and I've been thru it already lol 7 inch mbrp fell off in the middle of the road caus it rusted at the tip.
love your vids but you gotta be more careful man. always wear eye protection when you're cutting metal or using a grinder. also, you should really remove the exhaust pipe if you need to cut or weld it... not very smart sending sparks up into the fuel tank area
king cummins I did call it clean until we tore off the side moldings and old wheel well moldings.... then the rust was hidden under there... I never would've seen it if I hadn't taken those off
please don't say roll coal.....or talk about how much it "rolls coal"......other diesel enthusiasts, like myself, hate guys that do that. and put some safety glasses on. eyes are actually a pretty cool thing to have.
Who cares what you like it's his truck more diesel enthusiastist like rolling coal than those that don't, one of the funnest things about owning a diesel is the coal rolling and any diesel that's properly fueled should roll coal.

Thanks for the info! & thanks for watching!
Looks like the kids first time using a grinder with a cut off wheel. And that sanding thing is usually called scotchbrite.
Hey, I am enjoying the videos... Keep it up!
Offroad 101 for sure! Thanks!

4-6 tip 12v Cummins 92 looks good
bad ass video and badass Truck🤘🇺🇸
Great videos about a great truck. You should've done an axle dump, but keep up the good work.
Dakota 13001 thanks
Axle dumps are pointless doesn't look good and traps exhaust on the cab when at idle probably the dumbest exhaust mod you can do
What tires are on it
if it's chrome it will stay chrome all the time only the inside will be black from the soot love the truck and the vids
Dalton Duke trust me lmao the whole thing would be black.... out powerstrokes did that and they don't even roll near as much coal lol idk how but they do

mitch hultquist i'm honestly not sure what brand they are
mitch hultquist I think they are called Black Iron wheels
To remove the disk just push the button and grab and turn the disk it's usually what I do in the shop and works easier with gloves on
Thats so Sweet
What was your intro soundtrack?
No eye pro? Lol nice truck man
Nice vid. U should take the red stripe off the tailgate
I'm actually working on that today! Speak of the devil! Ha ha Ha

Justin Fast we don't plan to take it off if we are running that exhaust... if we fully change the exhaust then it'll come off either way haha

Video with general details: th-cam.com/video/Svk460crdFk/w-d-xo.html

Eloy Diaz thanks!
btw if you need help i got a 92 w350 so i can learn from stuff u do too 😂 i know a few things
Jacob Hyde thanks man!
You should axle dump it
Ok
You need the sawzaw fire and rescue blade it would of cut through that exhaust in 5 seconds
Do a cat stack
What's a cat stack?
Jacob Dowell it's the stack that comes off of any caterpillar machine it goes up and then angles down they look and sound terrible
Bladen Hoopes gotcha lol
Nah they don't really but whatever
LOUD 'N' PROUD any stack on a 12 valve ruins the awesome sounds that a 12 valve has
Put a stack on it
Man there's nothing sexier than a smokey Cummins!! Love seeing the coal! Love the smell of the exhaust! It's soooo good Haha. It sounds amazing too!!
make it a axle dump
love your vids but you gotta be more careful man. always wear eye protection when you're cutting metal or using a grinder. also, you should really remove the exhaust pipe if you need to cut or weld it... not very smart sending sparks up into the fuel tank area
Ryan Maddry glad you like them
Tip is too big for my taste, little over the top, however, I like your truck, it’s pretty sweet, such a classic
Song
why do people like smoke stacks??
Alex Huerta they sound good haha but we won't do one on this trucl
No. not loud enough. Needs a 10 or 12 inch tip.
use a file
Why tf did you add music at the end on a exhaust video....
I thought u called that truck clean then the fender wells are rusty
king cummins I did call it clean until we tore off the side moldings and old wheel well moldings.... then the rust was hidden under there... I never would've seen it if I hadn't taken those off
Sorry my fault never noticed that
king cummins it's fine haha
king cummins it still is cleans for the year. You'll hardly ever find a first gen in that kind of condition.
I own a first GEN you ain't telling me nothing luckily I got a bed with it that is clean
7.3 the best power joke
It’s a Cummins diesel huh
hey i enjoy the video or something like that
Ok I just wanted help on my channel can you do one more
Really u are going to music over the truck noise that's is so dumb
please don't say roll coal.....or talk about how much it "rolls coal"......other diesel enthusiasts, like myself, hate guys that do that. and put some safety glasses on. eyes are actually a pretty cool thing to have.
Schneider Performance ok
My dad likes to rollcoal on his truck, also he's a cummins diesel mechanic engine and generators
Who cares what you like it's his truck more diesel enthusiastist like rolling coal than those that don't, one of the funnest things about owning a diesel is the coal rolling and any diesel that's properly fueled should roll coal.
