I guess add me to the pile of ‘cancelled my preorder on an expensive and long anticipated book.’ This is becoming far too common. I work as a proofreader and a Quality Control specialist. If I made this many mistakes I’d find myself unemployed.
I'm passing on this because I assume that over time, the amount of double dipping in this is just going to increase. Plus it's not like all the random stuff is a coherent overarching story, so reading that stuff out of order in whatever other omnis they may eventually be included in is just fine by me. I'm playing the long game!
Why the hell couldnt they reprint up to Amazing 265? 265 was the perfect bookend to the Black Costume Saga as Pete and Aunt May reconsile and we get a THE END in the final panel
Marvel must have known about this misprint. It seems impossible to overlook this one at the press check. Probably happens because they don't pay their print production people enough.
Did they misprint the years on back of the omnibus book? It said 1963 but it should be 1984 plus few other errors too. Collecting AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1963) #252-263 and ANNUAL #18; MARVEL TEAM-UP (1972) #141-150 and ANNUAL #7; PETER PARKER, THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (1976) #90-100 and ANNUAL #4; and WEB OF SPIDER-MAN (1985) #1.
Wanted to know how else in Omnibus format these stories would maybe be collected going forward? I'm trying to keep to just collecting release order for Spider-Man Omnibus. Like with the Numbered volumes of The Amazing Spider-Man Volumes 1-6, so as to not do any double-dipping. And to try to avoid event centric/mapped Omnibuses here, where as with like Uncanny X-Men, getting the first 4 volumes and then following the Events like Mutant Massacre Prelude into Mutant Massacre and Fall of the Mutants etc etc...what would that look like for Spider-Man?
I wasted money buying the Silver Surfer omnibus with the misprint and had to buy another one later. I won't make the same mistake again. I'm not buying until I have a guarantee from Marvel and the seller that my book will have the correct page.
I think I may just stick with the 2 alien saga tpb...and how do you get a printing error in an omni which wasn't present in the tpb which is where the files had to originate to be blown up to omni size? I mean the mis coloring of hulk in some panels in a reprint of omni 1 when the original printing, epic and masterworks had no color error still baffles me
Well at least it was a misprint of an amazing spiderman issue. Not marvel team up or spectacular which dont even have epics. Volume 9 omnibus will probably be correct also. Main thing missing was bottom 2 panels, that he was thinking what the symbiote was doing to him, getting nourishment from and that he had been tired lately. Unless human torch seeing spiderman had a camera, plays a role in future story arc. Hate misprints. But at least its only one page out of over 800.
It's a shame about all the recent misprints lately. This is just more proof that Epic Collections will always be the vastly superior collected editions.
@@JessyNorris This is same error like in last Spider vol.2 or Daredevil, you have different page. Printer error was in Inferno prelude where you had blank colors on some pages and that wasn't in every copy.

Wow. Marvel ups the price. IST and CGN lower the discount. And there's a page missing from the book???? I think I'm done with Omnis, there's too much money on the line for errors that won't be corrected or replacements offered.
The misprint is so annoying. I'm buying the book for the Frenz issues I wouldn't have cared if the misprint was in one of the Team-Up issues. I have the misprint issue in trade so I will still pick up the omni. So poor from Marvel. Don't they have a proof reader?
Can they just send Omar proofs before printing? I really should just cancel this order. So lame, still waiting for my "print at home" scan for the Nick Spencer ADM vol. 2 omni. Embarrassing.
Im tired of these saga/artist omnis. Cant they just continue omnis with numbering order. We would have been up to Spiderman 400+ already. Ill most likely still buy...thanks omar...you can sell sand to an arab!
Those numbered volumes are more or less at the mercy of the Masterworks volumes coming out. At least with omnis like these that have pretty arbitrary names slapped on to them because they need them (inferno prologue, massacre prelude) they accomplish essentially the same thing the numbered volumes would & *should* without needing to wait forever and a day because Marvel.
It's very disappointing that one pays over $150 for a book, it has pronting errors and the oublisher does nothint about it. They know we will keep buying because we csnt the stories elsewhere. The reprint in five ywars tome will fix it, but the people whonhave already bought cant do anytbing and Marvel arent offwring anything. Do better Marvel, David Gabriel and collection editors. EDIT: That printing error is kind of disheartening, though.
The printing error is a turn off for me, unfortunately 😢
@@CarlosDias-er6dd Yeah, I'm debating with myself now.
@@hamzadawud if I were you, that has the trades, I would stick to them. At least for now. You'll probably find a cheat copy of the Omnibus when someone realizes the misprint. Or wait for the second printing...
@@CarlosDias-er6dd You're probably right. Given how many years it'll be before I even get to that era of Spider-Man, I should just wait for the eventual reprint. 😂
@@hamzadawud there you go 😅
23:10 ( ish ) I don't think it's a problem with only your copy. I may be wrong but the number of pages below doesn't seem to skip a number. So I think a lot, if not all first print, will be like that and that's a bummer...
The error on p.461 is there for me, but i am not missing the 17 pages from asm 258 and marvel team up 146.
I guess add me to the pile of ‘cancelled my preorder on an expensive and long anticipated book.’ This is becoming far too common. I work as a proofreader and a Quality Control specialist. If I made this many mistakes I’d find myself unemployed.
I was on the fence since I have all this in other omnibus, but the misprints made up my mind to not get it.
ohh you are right, that´s a deal breaker... I rather wait for a fixed reprint in 2030.
I'm passing on this because I assume that over time, the amount of double dipping in this is just going to increase. Plus it's not like all the random stuff is a coherent overarching story, so reading that stuff out of order in whatever other omnis they may eventually be included in is just fine by me. I'm playing the long game!
Cancelled my preorder
Why the hell couldnt they reprint up to Amazing 265? 265 was the perfect bookend to the Black Costume Saga as Pete and Aunt May reconsile and we get a THE END in the final panel
Marvel must have known about this misprint. It seems impossible to overlook this one at the press check. Probably happens because they don't pay their print production people enough.
Did they misprint the years on back of the omnibus book? It said 1963 but it should be 1984 plus few other errors too.
Collecting AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1963) #252-263 and ANNUAL #18; MARVEL TEAM-UP (1972) #141-150 and ANNUAL #7; PETER PARKER, THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (1976) #90-100 and ANNUAL #4; and WEB OF SPIDER-MAN (1985) #1.
if the only spiderman omnibus i have is spiderman vs venom, should i get this?
It's the perfect Prelude to Spider-Man vs. Venom
Idk bout this I guess I’ll just wait for a DeFalco SM Omni
One of the best covers ever.
I mean the mis coloring of hulk in some panels in a reprint of omni 1 when the original printing, epic and masterworks had no color error still baffles me
Hi, is there a point in buying this one if I already have „SM versus Venom” omnibus? Thanks! :)
Near Mint? 🙏🏻😅
I would still get it, theres lots of other issues, not much double dipping maybe just a couple issues
Excited for this omnibus!
So is there no double dipping with McFarlane spider omnibus and spider vs venom omnibus?
Definitely no double dipping with the McFarlane Omni.
Marvel is so sloppy these days, damn. At least they might give you a PDF to print out to put in your $125 MSRP book.
*Gen X has entered the chat*
That honor goes to Marvel Masterworks
@@lewishutchison6174which I started getting before the announced the Black Costume Omnibus. 🎉
I actually love the white spine it will fit perfectly next to both nick spencers omnis, brand new day omni and micheline and bagley.
This not "printing error" it is Marvel error and it will be in every copy.
Are you sure ?
@@JessyNorrisyes because it’s happened twice already this year
@@JessyNorris This is same error like in last Spider vol.2 or Daredevil, you have different page. Printer error was in Inferno prelude where you had blank colors on some pages and that wasn't in every copy.
Given the length of this storyline I think the price tag is a bit too high.
Are these review copies or production copies. Shouldn't these issues be communicated to Marvel for either corrections or at the very least feedback to improve quality moving forward.
Thanks for being thorough Omar.
@@primeoqz7257 I believe those are review copies. To be honest despite Omar communicating to marvel I don’t think marvel will do much about it given their attitude in past incidents. It seems marvel is getting too commercialised. Still at least Omar is doing what he can to bring this to marvels’ awareness.
Does this collect Kraven’s Last Hunt?
Nope, I think those are supposed to be included in the Web of Spider-Man omni coming out next year.
Waiting for Superman Triangle Era Omnibus video.
Like others, I think the misprint is hugely disappointing & makes this a no sale for me. I hope this is fixed in future reprints. 👍
Jesus Christ, why are there so many misprints? They need to fix this, we pay a lot of money for these.
It is always good to ask Jesus questions. He may not provide the answer we want, but if He were the head of Marvel, He would definitely fix this for people who have pre-ordered.
@@ryanwilliams7639 I honestly feel the same way. It really sucks if they're all like that. Either way, knowing my fortune, my copy will have the misprint.
I'll be sticking with the Epics. Hate seeing misprints, yes its part of the course in the industry but considering the prices of omnis. It should've been checked before sending them out.
Why use the name of our lord to cuss? Would you say your moms name to cuss?....i doubt it
Marvel needs to slow down on releasing omnis so they can catch these errors
Wow. Marvel ups the price. IST and CGN lower the discount. And there's a page missing from the book???? I think I'm done with Omnis, there's too much money on the line for errors that won't be corrected or replacements offered.
Some people are actually missing entire issues in this Omnibus and not just one page.Atrocious from Marvel.
Not buying it until they fix that page
The misprint is so annoying. I'm buying the book for the Frenz issues I wouldn't have cared if the misprint was in one of the Team-Up issues. I have the misprint issue in trade so I will still pick up the omni. So poor from Marvel. Don't they have a proof reader?
Can they just send Omar proofs before printing?
I really should just cancel this order. So lame, still waiting for my "print at home" scan for the Nick Spencer ADM vol. 2 omni.
Embarrassing.
👍
Where's the quality control,m
That’s actually a really cool design choice having the classic Spidey with a black background underneath the black suit on white jacket.
Why can’t we always have this level of thought & creativity.
I was on the fence about this one just because ive come to the vonvlusion that i might not read every omnibus i have kus i have so many unread books in my collection so i dont want to pile on a bunch of new ones & be more selective plus i want to get to some of the more modern stuff as well since i dont have a lot of knowledge of 2000s forward
Misprint? Easy pass Marvel. I was burned once already with the American Gods OHC, never again.
Bleed-through so bad you can practically read the next page from the back-
"There is a little bit of bleed-through." lol.
screw the IMAK printer, those see-through pages make it distracting when trying to read these books.
Yeah, I was really hoping this would be printed in Canada.
As the guy that goes through every single omni. The bleed through here is not as bad as it used to be from IMAK. This has the same bleed through as the new DC Omnis like Superman triangle years. So if this bothers you, they all might start bothering you.
I'm tired of misprints. Skip
Reading everyone lose their minds in the comments makes this video even more fun!
Why?
I hope he sees this bro, seriously.
@greendaleforever hahaha. In the grander scheme we call life a single page in a book that has been reprinted in so many formats prior to this sends you all into a frizzy. That to me, is hilarious. Thanks for the entertainment!
@@deadmousyplutaprestige8771 you are right, in the grand scheme of things called life it isn't the biggest deal in the world, and I appreciate that reminder.😀 Yet, this channel is for people who collect these books that aren't cheap. It is not asking much that Marvel practices quality control and responds properly to errors.
@@deadmousyplutaprestige8771 In the grand scheme of life there are many things that would seem insignificant when looked from that perspective. However that is no excuse for slipshod products (especially considering the price) and possibly giving consumers “the finger” while at that.
Looks like 17 pages are missing form this book! What are they doing when they check the files at the printer. Something tells me this was known to Marvel upon publishing. No printer would say nothing when asked to print a 992 page book, but only getting files for 975 pages.
17 pages missing? From what issue?
@@paulmcgrew2932 The Amazing Spider-Man #258, p. 13, to Marvel Team-Up #146, p. 6.
That is just one case. Can you please provide me additional people that are having this issue of 17 missing pages besides Jake from The Brave and the Boys?
@@NearMintCondition Maybe it's just my Omni, but I'm missing The Amazing Spider-Man #258, p. 13, to Marvel Team-Up #146, p. 6. Anyone else missing these or is it a one off?
Jake from the brave and the boys told me he did. These missing 16 pages are one book signature. That is an issue with the printer.usually it’s a couple of copies. .
can anyone confirm that the misprint it is also in their book?
What a let down
