I started drag racing motorcycles at 16 back in the 80s. I started road racing at 24. I started flat track and indoor motard at about 34. I started Supermoto at about 40. Now at 55 just got back into drag racing motorcycles and I have done one flat track this year. I may try Supermoto again before I turn 60
Won't be for long! Just kidding, I had a couple Suzukis in my time - great bikes, although one of them did try to murder me! In the hospital for about a month... sold that bike as soon as I got out. It was a really nervous bike, I was always a bit uncomfortable on that specific years bike.
Can you fit a wide supermoto wheel onto any motox bike or do you need to buy a wider swing arm? I've seen dirt bikes with the skinny road tyres they look shit.

I always thought "real" supermoto included jumps and dirt just that most tracks doesn't have access to both so the most supermoto you see is just regular paved track.
And here I am wondering if my 70/30 on/off tires will have traction on gravel roads.. I guess if these guys can do it in slicks, the answer is quite obvious.

Soft tire can gives really good traction on hard pack dirt. On grass, mud or loose ground it's another game.

Not in S1GP. Not many competitive Jap bikes at all. Mostly all the colour KTMs, orange, white (Husky) and red, (GasGas) and a LOT of TM's.

How does scrubing even help on the pavement if they cant break traction, thats the whole purpose of scrubbing. I get soaking up but jot scrubbing
