It’s beautiful and I love it! Mine is from 1978 and I look at it every day.
I just got my 540 back from the factory, (complete service)...its 40 years old and runs perfectly..and looks brand new...what a great clock...our house favorite..

I have a 1956 Atmos I bought second hand and it still runs. I’ll buy a modern one when I retire.
Owns 2 Atmos 540 and 518. Both runs loke a charm. What a craftsmanship.
My 1960 Atmos 540 has just come back from a servive and replacement " 4th Wheel" and a bellows recharge. They are beautiful clocks and when I was searching to find mine 5 years ago I found one that was advertised with my actual birthdate etched in the bellows housing !, I had to buy that one !

Bonjour , Jaeger n'a pas inventé l'ATMOS c'est bien JL Reutter qui a inventé la premiere ATMOS dans les annees 1920 , qui fonctionne au mercure , ensuite Jaeger a racheter l'invention et a moderniser l'horloge .
