The jlc duo reverso was the first luxury watch I ever owned. the next was a master geographic. I was recently in Dubai and stopped in at the jlc store to have a look at the timepieces. I was treated so kindly and given a tour of their shop and shown watches I'd never seen before. Tt the end of the short visit, the salesman noted the master geographic on my wrist and as I was leaving the store, he said, "Thank you for being an ambassador for Jaeger Le-Coultre." Pure class reminding me why love this watch brand.
went into a jlc store recently, didn't have one yet, but I was treated as if I was a well known returning customer. Ended up buying one, got a master calender chrono, really a delightful brand
I love this kind of 'understated show-off'. Classical and discreet on the front and dazzling on the back. These pieces are all more incredible than the other, and weareable still! I'm left without words...
Forget Rolex, forget Omega... AP and A. Lange & Sohnne.... to expensive... This watch fascinates me though, I simply love the beauty and elegance of the Reverso... and it's reasonably affordable while being unique. If I ever spend "big money" on a watch, my money will definitely go to JLC. Keep the great content coming and take care.
Just when I’d finally given up the idea of a reverso at some point, you remind me exactly why I have to have one. My wife says thank you kindly. Well, through the awkward silences, I’m sure that’s what she was thinking.
Hope not. Sometimes it's better to keep things in the dark, so to say, since we all have our own vision of what "mister watchfinder" looks like, no matter how he actually looks, it will be a disappointment.
There are only 11 of them; 10 for sale at 1.3 million Swiss Francs apiece, and one for the JLC museum. Watch finder and JLC may both be in the Richemont group, but that would be a big ask.
Beautiful! The Watches and Wonders 2021 Reverso Hybris Mechanica Calibre 185 (Quadriptyque) makes these look like basic swatches. It has a flying tourbillon, perpetual calendar, crystal gong minute repeater, draconic cycle indicator (eclipse), anomalistic cycle indicator (super moon), and moon phases for both southern and northern hemispheres. All for a cool 1.35 million Euros.
To be honest I don't believe they are underrated at all, but I do understand 100% why you say that. Really it's just an illusion because actually it only appears to be underrated since nobody ever mentions or highlights it like you see everywhere with Rolex and tag sponsorship everywhere such as an F1 race, so all you hear is people talk about how awesome they're Rolex or patek Philippe is and how you just can't get better than that. But truth is we in the know, the true watch lovers, are the only ones that really even know and have an understanding of what genius these JLC complicated reversos are. I actually just look at it from the point of view of that is just something special we keep ourselves and the ordinary everyday people wouldn't even be able to understand what's involved in engineering or something master class as these timepieces. I'd say it's meant to be this way since the production of only 500 is very low compared to the millions of submariners and speedmasters that are somewhat Mass manufactured losing what makes something unique and special
I’m just going to rewatch this vid 50 more times tonight. The Reverso by itself is incredible but with things like Tourbillons and Perpetual Calendars - wow!
I would dare say these watches are even better that the top 3 brands and Lange all together..These are not just a display of the ability to make complications..but to organize and design complications in a characterful way and with style
Wow! Such a unique and interesting learning lesson about the reverso history...as a reverso lover I didn't know all those amazing timepiece..I wish it would be possible to purchase one of them...thanks for this great video !!
I saw this year's fantastic Reverso , but was unaware of these. Just goes to show why JLC is the watchmakers watchmaker. A great video as always..thank you.
These six Limited Edition Reversos are a tribute to ingenuity, inventivness, eternal beauty and fine art of wristwatch craftsmanship ! As is the video, too !
I previously watched one of your videos and was so amazed at the presentation you do but the watches you feature are mind-blowing to say the least. This video was totally enjoyable and totally a big WOW! These watches are beyond beautiful, the craftsmanship is out of this world. I am a big fan of certain watches and these were outstanding.
I’ve always known about JLC but in the past few years and after seeing a few of your videos, I’ve become a serious fan. I doubt I’ll ever own one - certainly not one of these - but I now regard them very much as a grail watch. At a time when Rolex makes a tiny tweak to the script on the face or a slight change to the level of polishing to justify the annual price increase, these guys are just getting on with real watchmaking. And that impresses me a lot more.
I've had my GT Duoface for more than a year now and I still fall in love with it every time I strap it on! It is by far the most Beautiful watch I've ever owned, with my Seiko Laurel in silver and gold close behind, but these are on another level
The Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso is a beautiful timepiece. I had owned a 1997 model that was an 18K gold tank in a stainless carriage with a black crocodile strap. A criminal owns it now or they sold it. It was stolen along with several other great timepieces including a LeCoultre alarm clock, a LeCoultre Wristalarm, three Omegas, an IWC, a micro rotor automatic Hamilton, even a Snoopy model where a tennis racket and tennis ball displayed the time on a blue Jean background, also the very first Swatch Watch produced. It was a very sad day indeed. 🥺
O wish there was a way to really convey here how unbelievable incredible are your videos! These watches are amazing. Truly amazing. And the copywriting, out of this world.
Greetings!! Would like to know if you would go for Medium or Large for the Reverso Classic Duoface smallseconds. I have a 6.6inch wrist, both medium and large sits well but i just cant decide
I am wondering if you can find the old Swiss made watch called "Vacuum" it was called Vacuum because the water-resistant watch case was closed by using a mechanism that sucked out the air from the case to close the case causing a vacuum. I am interested in this particular watch because of the automatic movement and looks.
Got a speedmaster sapphire sandwich last year for Christmas. Best present ever. My next watch I want to get myself is definitely a JLC. Would love a perpetual Calendar, but not sure if my budget will stretch that far
Those close ups revealed a lot of defects with the finishing. I actually lost the count after seen so many. A lot of rough edges and small stain on the dial. When I look at these ultra expensive watches I expect Perfection.
Great video and these watches are awesome with style, substance and soul and not hyped which means is good for watch lovers. Still pretty expensive though. Thanks again for the video.
Another example of how superior positions involve the physical possession of gold vs. crypto gold or those futures managed by those WHO don't have physical gold.

Of course……historically it’s a sports watch……but now it has crossed the path to become a dress watch…….but it’s ur watch, u can wear it they way u want…….I still wear it as a casual watch and don’t give a rats ass about those who say oh it’s a dress watch.

We've seen a lot of treasures here over the years, but this one was really special.
Couldn't agree more. This one is already saved in my playlist, in case anyone asks me why do I love watches so much.
I can't wait until they do a video on JLC's 2021 release. It basically contains all of these complications in one watch.
@@omg_stoppit How???

No wonder JLC is known as the watchmakers’ watchmaker! These are some truly stunning pieces!!
The watch equivalent of a mullet, business in the front, party in the back. Also super stylish.

These Reversos are mind blowing. I had no idea they made grand complications such as these.

It's a mystery well kept, unfortunately 😕I don't think the camera will go reverso any time soon 😉⏰⏳

I saw his nose in the reflection cast by a particularly well-polished Patek case back..... It was like staring into the sun.
we have seen his face thru the reflection of a watch before, i just remember that he is bearded
I still can’t stop thinking about that Omega Worldtimer....
Prior to watching that video I had never paid any attention to the Omega Worldtimer and now I’m in love with it
Honestly facts
Truly remarkable timepieces. JLC always make the impression that they have a lot of watchmaking fun and passion, love it!

The Watch Trinity is JLC , AP and Pathak, Rolex is the watch of the Nobility but those are the Watch of Royalty
Great video. In a world of unbridled Rolex hype, the reverso is criminally under appreciated

Love the Reverso, but under macro, there seems to be an inordinate amount of 'matter' on display.
Never in my whole life, have I been more amazed.

Didn't think I liked the Reverso...but now I do 😍 Ridiculously clever, understated and classy.
