Yes they do. I had a Siamese and Opossum at the same time and they shared the litter box also. Possums are great pets, but are short lived and do have dietary special needs.

I just adopted a Applehead Siamese cat who was dumped in my alley. The cat has befriended a wild possum that lives under my porch, although it is adorable the problem is that raccoons will try to come and hunt the possum and my darling Applehead tries to defend the possum like it’s his own family. So far he has been triumphant against relatively young and small raccoons but I worry about the day they grow up.
Possums are amazing and very cute creatures!
I love them but it just makes me sad any time I see them knowing how short of a timely they live...
