Steve!! These are amazing Rum cocktails!! :-) I really enjoy Falernum!! I see it as a terrific pairing with Rum!! You were asking in the video about a spirit enjoyed with rum cocktails! For me dark rum and Campari are spectacular!! I adore that combination and add in lime, and pineapple, and it is perfection! I really love the Jungle Bird!! Cheers! I hope you are well, Steve!!
I wasn’t a huge fan of it when I tried it a couple of years back. Not their Orgeat. I prefer both of ODKs. However, it’s worth noting that neither are like the Alcoholic counterparts in this video. Me personally, I wouldn’t buy a Falernum syrup again.
@@StevetheBarmanUK the Blue Label ( standard issue if you will) the Gunpowder Proof is a bit too overwhelming. I have never had the 15 year ( can’t find it here in Chicago) but I would try it if I could.
When anyone says “Angostura Bitters” they mean the original Angostura Bitters as that’s what they’re called 👍 You would specifically say Orange or Cacao if you meant the other 2 newer flavours.
I would say after rum, I make sure I have plenty of limes, then orgeat because Mai Tai is my favorite rum drink… and I always have orange liquor on hand 🤗
Why don't you just put 1/2 ounce of pineapple juice in your mai tai instead of the pineapple liqueur? Orgeat is pronounced Or-zhaa if you speak French or Or-zhaat if you speak English.
Or OrGEET if you speak Cornish Chav! And Pineapple Juice will give a very different taste to Pineapple Liqueur. The same as Pineapple Liqueur will give you a very different finish to Pineapple Syrup.

Nice. I always thought Three Dots & a Dash used Rhum Agricole and a little aged run?
Love Jagger in cocktails will try Jungle Hunt!
First ingredient after the rum is Angostura bitters for me..little lime, simple syrup and a shake of nutmeg on top for a Antigua rum punch..yum!
I love you take of rum cocktails so inventive .
I will be trying these xxx
Another great video, loving the back catalogue. Falernum on order.

When you say angostura bitters, what flavor do you refer to. Angostura is a name brand and I guess I’m confused on what specific flavor to use.

In my country, there is only one store selling Falernum, and at a price of 2 full bottles of rum. So hard to get here. I have never tried it.

Pi Tai!
Easy part? The cocktails. Hardest part? Actually finding a bottle of Falernum...
