Architects is so ridiculously good. You should definitely check out some other songs. Watch the video for Doomsday. Pure emotion. Twin brothers Tom and Dan Searle created the band in 2004. In 2016, Tom would pass away and "Doomsday" was the first song that the band released after his passing. Tom wasn't able to finish it, so the rest of the band did. It's really heavy stuff emotionally, an unbelievable song and an unbelievable video.
So glad you checked it out dude, I'll admit it's not musically as "flashy" as trivium, as I said a different vibe musically for sure. This is just a real cool introduction to the band as it shows you where they stand on a lot of issues and aren't afraid to say what they want to get across. The lyrics and the video do lean it more towards the US I think as you guys are one of the more commercial/industrialised places on the planet but I think it applies a lot to modern society as a whole and the problems we still have despite all our great triumphs etc...easy to read a lot into the lyrics. I definitely recommend checking out their newer stuff too, their sound changed quite a bit and the band have endured the loss of a member which they've kind of openly worn on a musical sleeve, if you want to put it that way.
Definitely need more Architects, my favorite band. Also courtneys favorite vocalist and spiritbox's favorite band. Thats plus for me. And on spiritbox's debut record...they didnt want any features but sam from Architects reached out to spiritbox and asked if he could do a feature. And you dont say no to that. I think that was so cool for them..
Awesome reaction! Really loving your channel, and loving it even more after you did my request the other day for Shogun! Thank you so much. If you're looking for another Trivium song, I HIGHLY recommend "Into The Mouth Of Hell We March" it's off of the same album, and sounds so mournful. I love it.
This is a fantastic reaction! It was fucking awesome that you dug the vocals! I completely agree with you we absolutely get brainwashed and believe everything we hear. Its so rad that you are positive and honest with your reactions. Absolutely subbed and hit the bell. Please react to Spirits "Guiding Light". They do reactions as well and they are an emo/rock/metal band. Their songs cover a wide range of topics, especially things like depression, anxiety or abandonment. It would be so awesome to see your thoughts on it!
They're British, originally from Brighton :), but they speak a lot about the world, religion, politics etc in general in their songs. The person who wrote this song also died a few years ago as well sadly (Tom Searle, their lead guitarist who was also the twin brother of their drummer) :(. They've been through a lot as a band. As an added note they also have a crazy range of songs, if you want something insanely pure and beautiful, listen to Unbeliever by them. Also, Animals is their newest song and is a really nice mix of melody and heavy! They're really good at using their instruments to create a vibe that suits each particular song. Doomsday is also a beautiful heavy song and was a song pulled together with remains of Tom's work before he died, as well as their own touches
Yeah dude, they're a UK band, from Brighton. I'm a long time architects fan, seen them live a few time, and a lot of their music isn't necessarily written to be anti-establishment (like RATM), but more as a commentary on all the fucked up shit they see going on in the world, and a way of opening eyes. I know sometimes it can be uncomfortable hearing someone from another nation passing judgement on your home country, but it's not a dig at America as a whole, just some of the fucked up stuff thats going on in US domestic and international policy (or that our countries have done as a coalition, see the pic of Bush and Blair). As a Brit, it's not my place to pass judgement on your society, but I think its important for people to question what they're told in mainstream media, stand against the bullshit they dont agree with, and make sure the people's voice still carrys the weight it should!
Just some food for thought... With songs like this mate, I would highly suggest watching the entire video through and then commenting on it after. Every time you pause and skip back, you're breaking the flow and momentum of the song. Your commenting was great, but to really be impacted by the weight of a song like this, I would recommend letting it run through once. Then while you digest and process it, start commenting. Cheers, bud.
Oh boy a new metal fan, have a sub. Some suggestions: Thy Art is Murder - Holy War *EDIT* Didn't see he already reacted to this one.** After the Burial - Pennyweight InVisions - Gold Blooded Erra - Drift American Slang - Holy Roller Speaking With Ghosts - The Other Side ***ANYTHING BY POLARIS***
Somehow I missed the notification of this upload a week ago, but I’m here now! Another excellent reaction! You might enjoy reacting to All That Remains - Two Weeks. It’s a different category of metal from Architects, but something you might enjoy.
Love architects. Huge rap head here. Great to see another rap head listen to metal...I'm obsessed w both genres...u HAVE to check out Currents!!! Best band ever!! Currents-forever marked..but ever single song of theirs is insane
Dude, I love your content so far. Slaughter To Prevail and Architects? Hell yeah man. Subbed. Couple of suggestions: for a fun video and song "Hypa Hypa" by Eskimo Callboy. For insane drums watch Chris Turner "Escapist" drum playthrough. And maybe After The Burial "Lost In The Static". cheers bro!
Also you should look into the back story of the band. The lead guitarist and the drummer are/were twins and the guitarist died from cancer. The band took a break and then come back as strong as ever and you can really see the homage they pay to Tom in the newest album paying respect to him
lol didnt realize in the us and the uk colo(u)r is spelled differently, at least i wasnt aware anymore taht yo ucould tell the m apart that way .. You gotta check out "A MAtch Made In Heaven"
New sub. Came here from your Wishing Wells video. You should check out any songs by a band called Fit For A King, August Burns Red or Wage War. 3 of my top bands that I think you'd enjoy.
@@NTN_Lex I appreciate you stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new music. Many people don't like doing that. It's awesome seeing you give new music a try, especially music you can't understand off the bat. Keep the reactions coming.
And I don't know why I didn't put this in the same message lol, but if you're looking to diversify, you should check out the band: Diecast - Fractured This band is pretty small, so small they had to quit making music back in 2006 because they weren't making enough money to keep going. But this song in particular is beautiful, pull up lyrics if you need to. I would so love this. And you would be the first person in the ENTIRE world to upload a reaction of this song to TH-cam. So that'd be cool!!! "Diecast - Fractured" Thank you so much! Keep up the awesome work!!
Nope they’re British...check out their songs ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Hereafter’ 🤘🏼
These
Next Architects - a match made in heaven 🔥🔥🔥

You dont pause on the riffs.
He didn’t pause a riff, he paused a breakdown… the ultimate sin. He’s new to metal, well let it slid for now
you chose an old song by them, but they've always been political, and that song is what made them famous
Haha no they are from the Uk
You pause to much cousin
I'm a reactor bro... Why wouldn't I pause? I'm reacting to what I'm seeing..I know you love the music.. That's why I put the link in the description
