I think Architects is also in a pretty special situation where for many fans everything will always be put up against All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, and I don't think they can ever measure up to that album... It's a fantastic album which is elevated to another level because of the circumstances surrounding it, with Tom's death. Hard to ever match the emotional weight of a man's literal swan song...

Because they turned their backs on the band while they evolved into who they are now. And to me probably the most powerful thing about this song, is that they are making it in their old style. But it doesnt sound like the old stuff because Tom isnt there to lead under sams vocals. It just doesnt sound like the old stuff and i feel like they are making a point by saying "hey we cant do that sound anymore, we can only hope to move on musically and evolve into our next phases of life." I will forever love this band. Old and New. Sams lyrics are at some points in my life were the only things standing between me and that shell that i turn into when shit comes back. But they will forever hold a place in my heart. I would say to listen to another one, do one on Nhilist by architects. Its by far lyrically the most impressive in my opinion. Much love from the US.

You know what I'm going to say... Lorna Shore. 😆 To the hellfire - This is their hardest song. My advice is think of the screams as just another instrument. Pain Remains Trilogy: Will emotionally rip you apart. Highly recommend. Just try to find the fan made edit. It's 3 songs, original videos, and lyrics overlayed. The story in the original videos + the music is a materpiece.

You should check out grunge i feel like you will like it !! Bands I recommend are Alice in chains, pearl jam and soundgarden. Soundgarden is Chris Cornell’s band, the lead singer of pearl jam, Eddie Vedder, was really good friends with him and they have a song together (called hunger strike by temple of the dog). Alice in chains are amazing and one of my fave bands ever !! Hope you enjoy :)

I love their older stuff. Lost touch a little as I moved into other genres over the last few years, but always come back to them. They deserve every accolade they get. I won't go back over the background of this song, because others in the comments already have, but I will say that the track was made with the collaboration of Mick Gordon, (he did the Doom 2016 soundtrack, which is full of absolute bangers). Anyway, Architects; Brighton band, lovely blokes, the singer Sam Carter is a Man United fan, they're very outspoken about their political and environmental beliefs, have ten albums now? Seriously, a band worth diving into the catalogue of, you'll find everything from ballads (Doomsday, Gone with the wind, Hollow Crown) right through to absolute monsters (Always, In Elegance, These Colours don't Run, Even if you win, You're still a Rat which also features Ollie Sykes from Bring me the Horizon). This one rocks, but the best part of the big f.u. it gives to the extreme haters of their recent stuff. FWIW I am enjoying their more recent stuff over their older. Don't get me wrong - the older stuff is good (f'n good) but I lean towards the new stuff.

Soundgarden is Chris Cornell’s band, the lead singer of pearl jam, Eddie Vedder, was really good friends with him and they have a song together (called hunger strike by temple of the dog). So glad to hear you react to these guys Teddy, Architects have been one of my top bands since I first heard them (Always, from the Ruin album for what it's worth. Yes, I've been a fan that long). I love their older stuff. Lost touch a little as I moved into other genres over the last few years, but always come back to them. They deserve every accolade they get. I won't go back over the background of this song, because others in the comments already have, but I will say that the track was made with the collaboration of Mick Gordon, (he did the Doom 2016 soundtrack, which is full of absolute bangers). Anyway, Architects; Brighton band, lovely blokes, the singer Sam Carter is a Man United fan, they're very outspoken about their political and environmental beliefs, have ten albums now? Seriously, a band worth diving into the catalogue of, you'll find everything from ballads (Doomsday, Gone with the wind, Hollow Crown) right through to absolute monsters (Always, In Elegance, These Colours don't Run, Even if you win, You're still a Rat which also features Ollie Sykes from Bring me the Horizon). I'll stop gushing now, but please, more Architects.

This one rocks, but the best part of the big f.u. it gives to the extreme haters of their recent stuff. FWIW I am enjoying their more recent stuff over their older. Don't get me wrong - the older stuff is good (f'n good) but I lean towards the new stuff.

Seeing red is an unreal song for so many reasons,
Not only is it a banger but a massive fu to all the crazy fans that when the guitarist tom passed away were saying that basically when the band evolved and changed there sound, that the band died when tom did (rip they commented line)
Same credited alot of how the metalcore scene looks today, with one being help in the "blegh" starting in metalcore music, they basically made the most metalcore full metalcore song they could and the lyrics are just masterful
I myself actually found architects after they changed their sound and im all for it, i have listened to their older stuff, and i fucking love it, doomsday is one for a reaction, tom started writing riffs for it before he passed, they finished it and made it to him

You finally did it teddy, reacted to my all time favouries :') Welcome to the amazing world of the architects.
They've got so many insanely good songs both on the heavier and softer side of the spectrum, older by rule of thumb being their heavier stuff. Meanwhile their more recent albums have gotten a lot of hate and apparently even made some people send horrific messages to the band as he brings up whilst screaming in this song "Gee thanks so much for the death threat".
Architects is seeing red, sadly towards part of their fanbase this time, they know who they are 😅
The Abbey Road versions of Impermanence and Animals are my absolute favorites by Architects... love their stuff and loved your reaction!
