It's why celebrities are called stars, (like the three wise men above the sky) meaning follow the stars, idolize the stars, identify with the stars, become like the stars. For most or some people, the heavy influence of celebrities just gets to them big time. In reality, celebrities were actually made for common people to worship them, and keep the population distracted from more important issues going on in the world that you'll never hear on the news media.
That should be one of the top ten movie scenes of all time well done movie all the way around they should re-releasing it would fit with the afternoon shift that's going on today
This movie goes over that Social Media controls most of the people and want you to think like everybody else like the song says. It's not about killing people. It's about people who do not have the proper respect for another human being. That some people are selfish and they even don't care they are but blaming someone else for their mistakes.
"Would you have ... if I told you that I lived in a normal house, with a set of normal parents who didn't abuse me, but also didn't even try to understand me? That everyday in my normal life felt like a million years? And that I spent every day, all day being told what to do and what to think, by people who I'm a million times smarter than?"
"But, since it's not polite to acknowledge that, I just had to pretend to listen to? That every single morning I just woke up and wished that anything not-normal would happen?" WOW!!! Art imitates life for some people...
One subtle thing that Goldthwait does in this scene, is with the walk of fame, contrasting guys like Lou Costello, who's name is seen in that star, with what passes for some of the "pop culture stars" today.
That's celebrities are called stars, meaning follow the stars (like the three wise men), identify with the stars or be like them. Due to heavy influence on the common person, it will go to their head where they become obsesed in the end and start seeing these people as hero's.
It's not "stolen" from Sopranos. The version of the song is from a Kink's live album recorded in the mid 1990's. It was used in The Sopranos, but it's not like it was recorded for that purpose.
It most certainly wasn't. I really don't want to go into a longer discussion about something like that, but the ending was rushed and there were not enough funding to do what they were trying to proper. Great movie, made a little less great by a bad ending.
The moral isn't "Go kill people. Cause that gunna change the world." It doesn't work in real life, and heck, it didn't even work in the movie. the moral is "Go make art, Cause that will."
murder, yeah bad, but this movie sends the message that society is failing (and it absolutly is) and that our country is filled with aholes and idiots who could give less of a f**k, they're selfish, greedy, ignorant, flat out stupid people, and it's seen mostly in the usa, they're not saying go kill people for being a dick, they're saying someone needs to speak up about what our country is....it's a pos, that's the message, watch the movie and put understanding into it before you talk. Society is on the edge of a diving board going into a 10ft deep pool with no water, you are misunderstanding the movie by a mile.
One of the greatest films ever made. Truly art.
This film is art
One of my favorite scenes in one of my favorite movies.

One of the best movies ever made.

best movie I have seen in a long time
The song I'm Not Like Everybody Else is by Dave Davies, one time lead member of the Kinks, from his live CD Rock Bottom.
SHOULD watch this film everyday
I feel the lyrics and the scene deep in my soul. GOAT movie. So underrated

it's a live version, i think is track 8 from CD 2 of the "To the bone" live album
Great movie, great song.
The white top, black suspenders, and black trilby combo was such a mid-2000's thing.
great song for a great movie
This scene made me add this song to my "Music Play If I Ever Go Postal" playlist.
Some movies just speak volumes thank you sir
Such a beautiful end...
Nice NVG's

Best and angriest version of this is Dave Davies live at the Bottom Line, 1997.
right on!
It's a live version.. Search on youtube and you should find it. Bloody great song
Celebrities laugh but deep inside they hate you...they hate you all

"But don't you think violence is wrong?" "Awe, fuck off Kevin.."
Two predators identify each other. They just have different prey.

I never get those people that stand near the red carpet screaming at celebrities

Great movie. Too bad about the ending. Almost felt like they did it last and had to finish in a rush.
I love this song! Does anybody know exactly which artist and/or what version of the song this is, or where i can find an mp3 of it?
Does anyone know what/where the recording for this is from? As doesn't sound like the album version and I love it!
It's on the 'to the bone' album
anybody know where i can watch this online?
i do

Is it me or does he even kinda look like Tony Soprano while he's walking down the street?
Hi does anybody know which version this is as there are so many out there and I am trying to find either this video or this recording?
tommytoothpaste it's from the album To The Bone
I think it's a live!
1994 Live Version
I don't think that, it was the most realistic ending possible. Although I did love the movie.
"I'll just put some music here... There! Music video done"
LOL
Who's covering this song? It's not the Chocolate Wristwatch version...
The moral isn't "Go kill people. Cause that gunna change the world." It doesn't work in real life, and heck, it didn't even work in the movie. the moral is "Go make art, Cause that will."
I Need A Gun !
great movie, awesome song
i think the movie would have been even better without the girl in it. Frank should have gone on his mission alone
but just why do they do that?
i think you just accidentally your sentence
24 people are planning on killing simon cowell ;D
A shared delusion maybe?
if you think the main character of this movie is motivational, you -really- need a psychologist.
murder, yeah bad, but this movie sends the message that society is failing (and it absolutly is) and that our country is filled with aholes and idiots who could give less of a f**k, they're selfish, greedy, ignorant, flat out stupid people, and it's seen mostly in the usa, they're not saying go kill people for being a dick, they're saying someone needs to speak up about what our country is....it's a pos, that's the message, watch the movie and put understanding into it before you talk. If you disagree with anything frank says then you're part of the ignorance that's destroying this society you fuckin sheep
I applaud him for doing something about it. Not that I'd condone it, but he's taking a stand.
We all need one even you!!
Stolen from The Sopranos. However, it is a very good movie, so its ok. :)
Sacre blu, where is me mamma?
