Is it just me or is Stukov's push like, the ONLY ability in the game that can get you nearly that far away from a marked target? I assume the mark wears off pretty quick. Don't get me wrong still useful for shorter chases, just kind of a hilariously over the top example :) I guess guys with a teleport could probably get away before mark wears off as well.
i think it has to do something with game design like making things less flashy to be easier too see everything clearly during team fights, the devs talked about this in some Q&A about other heroes

@@gutspillage Actually if you go into try mode on the PTR and use your Hearthstone, at the end of the animation he stretches his wings out to their full extent, and it looks pretty much like what you're imagining (try it yourself). So they actually DID draw the wings large, and it's literally in the game. The reason they're small most of the time is to avoid visual noise.

That's normal. Imperius never had big wings in Diablo universe. Tyrael has bigger wings. Check it out if you want. Watch cinematic that Tyrael and Imperius fight. You'll see there when Tyrael remove his wings.

They changed the wings. And the walking animation is meant to be like that. It is part of the ''all-mighty warrior'' that he is. Floating does not fit the theme of a warrior/brute.

Maybe it's to foreshadow Imperius's fall to evil? Assuming Blizzard doesn't go out of business, and assuming they still want to make more content for the Diablo franchise, I think the next Diablo sequel or expansion will see Imperius as an antagonist.
Imperius' wings are TERRIBLE. Was it so hard to make them like in the cinematics? The ones you created look more pointy even than Kerrigan's and they are too SMALL. If this hero gets feedback, it will concern the art. Also, when he is moving, the wings look like they hang from somewhere. Please fix this.
The animations in general lack weight, too. His Q could easily be a really satisfying "impale" thing but when I see it happen it just kinda looks like... doink, you're stunned. There's no sense of momentum.

Heroes team, please take the lead in defending your game from what seems like corporate sabotage from Activation-Blizzard. This game is still loved and you have consistently shown love for this game with your content and creativity. I've been hyped for Imperius joining the nexus for a long, long time. I'm not so hyped anymore now that he's here. Not much love and care got put into him, huh
For me, i dont mind having some of his abilities being quite similar to other characters abilities, it's inevitable. My concern is his Wings, it's not "Grand" enough and Animations, like his Walking and attack, it just feels lacking for a moment. But overall, despite what happened, everything seems alright!!
Man... I'm bored to explaining... Imperius never had giant wings. And he prefers fight on foot. Just watch he fights with Diablo in cinematic you'll see he won't flying. In game he jumps down from the sky or stand still not floating. And his wings are smaller than Tyrael's wings. Check the cinematic that Imperius and Tyrael fighting. You'll see his wings are way smaller than Tyrael.

He's on the PTR right now. He's pretty fun, but he's SUPER mana hungry. Great duelist, winning fights isn't hard with him, but you'll be OOM pretty quickly. you'll be back at the alter a lot.
There is something seriously wrong with his model. From the texturing to the wings, even the abilities look a bit odd. I guess this is what's coming for heros now. Very disappointed, especially for such a long awaited hero.

Honestly, I expected him to have higher mobility seeing he spends a large portion of his fights in Diablo III teleporting (from what I've seen, anyway).
Where is the inspiration from the cinematic cutscene in which he flies and teleports around elegantly? What about the spear falling down from the sky? And what the result? A piercing ability where you put them down gently, and two fire abilities? It looks awful.

This hero design fits his character so well!!! He leads the charge of the battle and he is the greatest duelist of the universe (according to Diablo's lore). They even aware that he has a "firey" figure and even add solarion's flare into the kit. Both ults show players exactly how he is as the Archangel of Valor, merciless to the wicked
The last 10 characters I want to see before this game officially dies: 1. Baal 2. Mannoroth 3. Archimonde 4. Belial 5. Izual (The Fallen Angel) 6. Tosh 7. Vol'jin 8. Cairne 9. Ethereal 10. Talandar
This is the type of content that we expect from activision from now on: rushed heroes with crappy wings, floppy animations.... R.i.P. Blizzard R.I.P. HoTS
This has nothing to do with Activision. Keep in mind that development on game content is not done last minute, it's done months in advance. When Orphea was released, Imperius was pretty much finalized, and the hero after that was close to finalized if not already there. Everything was already drawn, his kit and talents were all decided, and he was merely in the final stages of balance and bug testing. All of this when Orphea was announced, which was WELL before Activision stabbed a knife through this game's stomach. The reason his wings are underwhelming is to avoid visual noise. His larger wings are actually IN the game. If you go to the PTR and use the Hearthstone, at the end of the animation Imperius stretches his wings to their full extent and they look pretty much like what you're imagining. As for the rest of his model, I can't say. But Activision has nothing to do with this.

@CatandBonez A lot of us, in particular those who frequent reddit, know what happened, and I know that the game is far from healthy no matter how people try to stay positive. However, spamming "dedgaem" on every instance is quite annoying. Let me just enjoy the game in its final moments before it's officially shut down.

I've played their games since Diablo 1 and Starcraft, but what they did to fans of this genre is just so unforgivable. And if they do it here, they'll do it elsewhere with their other IPs like Overwatch. If I were an Overwatch pro, I'd seriously rethink my investment. Cause they will cut their pro scene next.

In the D3 animated clip you can see him fighting and teleporting around, so I guess he can get his hands dirty if he wants.

Heroes team, please take the lead in defending your game from what seems like corporate sabotage from Activation-Blizzard. This game is still loved and you have consistently shown love for this game with your content and creativity. I know there may be little you can do but know that the fans ire is at the greedy actions of the larger company and not on you as a team. Please keep up the good work. They added proper wings. To everyone still wondering.
For me, i dont mind having some of his abilities being quite similar to other characters abilities, it's inevitable.
My concern is his Wings, it's not "Grand" enough and Animations, like his Walking and attack, it just feels lacking for a moment.
But overall, despite what happened, everything seems alright!!
Also please, those remaining Hots Team, dont end the game, we'll continue to support it!!!

Man... I'm bored to explaining... Imperius never had giant wings. And he prefers fight on foot. Just watch he fights with Diablo in cinematic you'll see he won't flying. In game he jumps down from the sky or stand still not floating. And his wings are smaller than Tyrael's wings. Check the cinematic that Imperius and Tyrael fighting. You'll see his wings are way smaller than Tyrael.

And also we already know that in game, he prefers to fight on the ground and etc. But at least make its animations more special, even Orphea's Basic Attack animations is much better than of his...

So Blaze got a Angel skin... interesting.
He's on the PTR right now. He's pretty fun, but he's SUPER mana hungry. Great duelist, winning fights isn't hard with him, but you'll be OOM pretty quickly. you'll be back at the alter a lot.
Good thing this isn't Diablo 1 or 2, because there goes my scrolls of town portal

There is something seriously wrong with his model. From the texturing to the wings, even the abilities look a bit odd. I guess this is what's coming for heros now. Very disappointed, especially for such a long awaited hero.
Seriously? I feel like this is one of the better looking heroes they've released in a while. Most heroes last year apart from like Orphea and Yrel looked terrible in comparison.

Honestly, I expected him to have higher mobility seeing he spends a large portion of his fights in Diablo III teleporting (from what I've seen, anyway).

And what the result? A piercing ability where you put them down gently, and two fire abilities? It looks awful.
"Is everything okay?" Obviously not, were you in slumber for last half of year? Dev team for HotS was cut in half to help other projects, and whole Blizz is going on fire after last Blizzcon.
Activision moved all the art and animation team to mobile game development, so his model was made by an intern.

His wings look like droopy lightsabers.
This hero design fits his character so well!!! He leads the charge of the battle and he is the greatest duelist of the universe (according to Diablo's lore). They even aware that he has a "firey" figure and even add solarion's flare into the kit. Both ults show players exactly how he is as the Archangel of Valor, merciless to the wicked
Skills look fun to play, but his tiny wings are an insult to fans.
One of most wanted heroes is here! Hopefully I'm next.

Even the announcer's voice feels less energetic than before.....it is these little details that give away the fact that Blizzard is falling apart.

This is the type of content that we expect from activision from now on: rushed heroes with crappy wings, floppy animations.... R.i.P. Blizzard R.I.P. HoTS
This has nothing to do with Activision. Keep in mind that development on game content is not done last minute, it's done months in advance. When Orphea was released, Imperius was pretty much finalized, and the hero after that was close to finalized if not already there. Everything was already drawn, his kit and talents were all decided, and he was merely in the final stages of balance and bug testing. All of this when Orphea was announced, which was WELL before Activision stabbed a knife through this game's stomach.
The reason his wings are underwhelming is to avoid visual noise. His larger wings are actually IN the game. If you go to the PTR and use the Hearthstone, at the end of the animation Imperius stretches his wings to their full extent and they look pretty much like what you're imagining. As for the rest of his model, I can't say. But Activision has nothing to do with this.
They’ve had the worst spell animations I’ve seen in a game in a long time, even since alpha. Orphea finally got some but don’t expect to ever see that again
