Shinedown is my absolute favorite group. I've seen them live 3 times and met them at Carolina Rebellion, and they're even better live. I'm going to see them again in April in Greensboro for their small venue tour. I can't freaking wait. Brent Smith has one of the best voices in rock, period. You should check out his song Lost In the Crowd and Call Me.
They do a whole acoustic tour. Look up Smith & Myers. 💜Need to do monsters and the devil from their last album it is very moving the videos. Through the ghost and I’ll follow you alternate version is something else 💚

Shinedown stole this song, literally walked up and punched lynyrd skynerd in the face and took it. Said thanks and walked off like a boss. I love the music video.. it was amazing
That's a little harsh. The connections between Skynyrd and Shinedown are very old and deep. It's worth a bit of research on the web to find them all out but here's couple for starters. They are both natives of Jacksonville, Florida and, here's a nice one, the guy playing the guitar in this video is Jasin Todd, Shinedown's guitarist at the time, and he was, and still is, married to Melody Van Zant, the late great Ronnie Van Zant's daughter.
That is the way he sings his voice and vocals are amazing and powerful. That is what makes Brent one of the best vocalist of our generation even LS was impressed & he sang with them a year ago it is on TH-cam.
