I wish I would’ve found this before my first trip to nyc. My first day of using the subway didn’t go well but because of the express trains but by day two I had mastered the subway. Probably my favorite part of my trip was riding the trains.
I went to game 4 of the World Series last night and decided to take the train back to the hotel because I’d used the train earlier that day with no problems. Somehow I ended up at Grand Central Station and said screw it and took a cab.
@ $50 from Grand Central to Queens. I just found out the other day I got ripped off from fake Uber drivers. If you use Uber make sure you use the app. I somehow came across two different dudes that said they were Uber but I didn’t use the app and they grossly overcharged me. I don’t know if the cab was cheaper because it’s a better deal or because it was later at night and traffic was a little better.

Why did they even bother naming the lines? Could have just called them by terminal station and local/express, like a downtown E would be "local for World Trade Center"
