DELICIOUS Chicken Patties 🍗 Relaxing Cooking Video 🍗 ASMR

- Chicken Patties Recipe (котлетки):
-2 lbs (1 kg) lean Ground Chicken
-1 lbs (500g) White Bread (sourdough if avail.)
-1 to 1 1/2 cups Reduced Fat Milk / Whole Milk
-2 large Eggs
-salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
-Remove crust from the bread and break it apart, pour milk over it and mash it until it's a fall apart consistency. Add ground chicken, a thin layer or to taste salt, pepper, paprika, garlic and onion powder, 2 eggs and mix everything until a smooth blended consistency achieved.
-Warm 1 tbs of oil in a large frying pan. Using water in between each patty to wet your hands so the meat doesn't stick to your fingers, make patties any shape you wish and add them to the pan. Fry covered on a medium setting on each side for about 4-5 minutes dependent on the thickness. I like to wash the pan in between the batches and adding new oil to prevent any tar on the next batch, but you don't have to :) Enjoy your Russian style patties ♥

Couscous Cold Salad:
-1 cup of Couscous (or less as it'll double in size)
-cubed or split fresh Tomatoes (amount to your taste)
-hand full of Basil (chopped)
-2 cups (or to your taste) baby Spinach
-Feta cheese
-2 tsp Basil Pesto or any of your favorite salad dressings
-Prepare couscous according to instructions, chop basil, cut tomatoes and spinach if needed. Add all ingredients together, mix and let chill in fridge. Bon appetite :) ♥

I can’t believe this is happening.
My grandma in Finland would save old dry bread for this purpose! It wouldn't go bad if stored right but then when you soak it in milk it gets soft again. And when the family is poor the bread extends the meat very nicely.

@@aviealien I use about a Tbs olive oil, and then another 1/2 tbs of canola or vegetable. Any oil really works, I just like the taste and aroma of olive oil. Just make sure it is heated well before those chickies hit the pan! 😉
How many patties did you get when you made this? Just wondering whether this is enough to feed a family of 5 on the quantities mentioned or whether would need more.

Broke british uni student here - made these and loved them, super cheap too! Only thing is that chicken mince is fairly hard to find here, I had to look in three supermarkets to find it! Turkey mince was super common, so next time I might just substitute the two - which is odd as Turkey meat is super uncommon but we eat chicken all the time. I added some oregano to it, and had some gravy on them (probably a massive sin to Russians xD) with mash potato.
I think it’s because minced chicken isn’t used for many recipes: people prefer it whole as breasts or thighs, maybe cubed if you put it in a soup or pie. Turkey, however, is used for turkey burgers or other substitutes for red meat

I made it! Hubby loved it and so did I! I saw this years ago and thought I want to make it! I finally did and I’m adding to the list. Btw on a side note I had a dental appt recently and you’d never believe it but I got full body tingles! The dentist was doing a root canal and put me at such easy at times and was humming and saying encouraging words. I wouldn’t have thought such a situation possible, I mean it was a root canal for crying out loud! Anyway thought you of all people I could tell. Thanks for doing what you do for us as you put me at peaceful easy with soothing tingles quite a bit!

Sharing a generational family recipe is such a nice touch. I'm definitely going to try these. Seems simple, hearty and tasty. I also feel the emotional attachment to my mother and grandmother through cooking. Making my grandmother's sunday meat sauce is a great way of remembering her and my mom who's slight variation on it was even better. I too made one slight variation, and while I still believe my mother's was better, it gets rave reviews whenever I make it. Such a great connection to the past.

Grandmas are the best teachers when it comes to cooking! I remember my Grandma knowing her way well around the kitchen, and she would cook for all of us to have her family together. I miss her terribly. I loved hearing about your Grandma and I think you honored her memory by sharing her wonderful lessons. When the completed chicken was shown first I would have never thought those were actually hand formed ground chicken patties! I totally thought they were whole chicken breast just coated in stuff. This looks really yummy and pretty easy. I think I might try it! :D

Karma nope! I loved having meat on pizza and cold cut meats were my fave but once I cut them out completely I stopped craving it. I substitute with things like quorn vegan nuggets and eat lots of carbs like potatoes / rice with lots of veggies! When I became vegetarian my eczema improved as well :’)

@@peacebwithu97 it is just a shaped pasta. Most of the time, when people say couscous, they are referring to a type of small, fluffy grains, like tiny grains of sand. The kind she is using is called pearl or Israeli couscous. I like her type better for taste and texture.
