I took a stab at a vegan version of this. They turned out great! My 2-year old daughter devoured them with some ketchup. These will be our new "chicken" nuggets! Here is what I did. 1/2 Recipe compared to Maria's 1/2 lb extra firm tofu, drained and remaining water squeezed out 1/2 lb sourdough bread, crusts removed Unsweetened plain soy milk (used enough to match consistency of the mashed bread) Replace the egg with Ener-G Egg Replacer as directed on box Same spices, same overall process, just fried for a bit longer and uncovered to get the outside nice and crisp, and also formed thinner patties so the inside isn't mushy. Thank's a ton for the recipe and video, Maria!
My Mum and I literally just finished eating the salad! It was absolutely delicious and so fresh and clean. We will be making it again and we plan to have the patties sometime too! We served the salad with salmon we needed to use up. Please make more cooking videos, Maria! 😍

I made the chicken patties for my family tonight and they loved them!!! Thanks for sharing the recipe😁
Masha!! You should do a Concierge Roleplay! Y'know, someone at an airport, who helps guests touring the city to find good places to eat and activities to do! I think you could do a really good one!
Her Italy video starts out that way.
I'm so excited! The famous chicken patties are here! I'm going to make these this weekend! Thank you Maria! ❤❤❤
I just went and purchased these ingredients so i can cook this tomorrow...THANK YOU MARIA!!
How was it?
@@serene9532 It was so good! I cooked it for my family and they loved it 💖
I love this so much! Though, i try going to sleep with this, but I can’t! It makes me too hungry! Best wisher Maria! Night x
I've been craving some cooking ASMR and your video came at the PERFECT timing!
gordon ramsay has left the chat
LMAO
fIorlei Graphics ramsay*
Why did he leave? What about Jeff Smith , the frugal gourmet
gordon ramsay whO??
Why did you leave, because she made chicken? Or you just dont like her style.
Keep the kids and adults happy! Thanks for sharing, Maria :) Did you or your family ever dip these patties in any kind of sauce or condiment? Americans love their dipping sauces so I'm curious.
Full tummies is my goal 😋 For dipping I'd suggest some type of aoili like basil or horseradish or just ketchup. These are pretty tasty on their own too though 🙂
Ah Maria your voice is so wonderful to listen to . I’m lying here thinking I can’t sleep, nothing will help. Somehow I fell asleep here to this video and woke up hours later not knowing I’d been asleep. Thank you for all you do. You deserve all your success. God bless you
Just had some good chicken but with Maria I don't mind having some more..
Haha totally feel ya!
AxxL why do i keep seeing u here.
Eating meat is wrong!
paul paul gtfo vegan nigga
wow, a racist meathead.
I don't know why I love this video so much but it's my go to when I really can't sleep.
I've watched it like 109 times and every single time I fall asleep.
Ahh i love you ❤
"Unless they're vegetarian of course."
LADY I'M HERE FOR THE COUSCOUS SALAD
I’m pleased to say that after 4 years of watching this delicious video I finally had the opportunity to make these and they were a huge hit in my family. I followed your recipe exactly and even cleaned the pan in between batches. It’s a labor of love and they were divine!!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I’m a college student and I’ve been looking for a recipe like this!!! It seems very cost effective, yet filling. AND IT LOOKS SO YUMMY. I’m making this tomorrow night.
Love is found within chicken patties.
You know... I know you see this kinda comment every now and then, but seriously... WHY DO I WATCH THESE KINDS OF VIDEOS AT NIGHT ON AN EMPTY STOMACH???!!!
Idk
Me rn
Same reason I do!
When the completed chicken was shown first I would have never thought those were actually hand formed ground chicken patties! I totally thought they were whole chicken breast just coated in stuff. This looks really yummy and pretty easy. I think I might try it! :D
Me too :o but also because I didn't know that "ground chicken" was a thing, in my country ( france ), I've never seen this.
@@KarlSen if you cant find ground chicken, just toss some chicken breast in a food processor. Voila. Ground chicken.
Just made this dinner again and we absolutely loved it! It has become a favorite in our home 😊
i almost dozed off driving today just *thinking* about this iconic video. even after all this time, it’s still a top contender ❤
We need a hour long video of you just saying *”Couscous”*
I was looking for this comment😂👌
Idk if you’re English but definitely not english
I took a stab at a vegan version of this. They turned out great! My 2-year old daughter devoured them with some ketchup. These will be our new "chicken" nuggets! Here is what I did.
1/2 Recipe compared to Maria's
1/2 lb extra firm tofu, drained and remaining water squeezed out
1/2 lb sourdough bread, crusts removed
Unsweetened plain soy milk (used enough to match consistency of the mashed bread)
Replace the egg with Ener-G Egg Replacer as directed on box
Same spices, same overall process, just fried for a bit longer and uncovered to get the outside nice and crisp, and also formed thinner patties so the inside isn't mushy.
Thank's a ton for the recipe and video, Maria!
That is nice of you to post. Thanks
Do you at least let your child eat meat if THEY want to?
sunfeatherX3 Does it really matter to you what my kids eat?
sunfeatherX3 if we can’t show our children how meat is made, why would we feed it to them? 🤷🏽♀️
@@jackiesweasey3551 but u can
I made the chicken patties for dinner tonight. Me and my husband both loved them! Thanks for the great recipe and relaxing video, Maria!!
I seriously love coming back to these cooking vids.
I love love love when you cook russian food! i love learning about other cultures and relaxing at the same time
Maria- I made these today, and my whole family loved them. They are delicious! Thank you for the recipe! 💜
I made these for dinner 🥘 guests tonight ! It went down well !
Thank you Maria xx
My Mum and I literally just finished eating the salad! It was absolutely delicious and so fresh and clean. We will be making it again and we plan to have the patties sometime too! We served the salad with salmon we needed to use up. Please make more cooking videos, Maria! 😍
I remember watching one of your videos for the very first time about 6 years ago. I’ve been watching ever since. Always love the simple close up soft whisper videos. Thank you for making this content for us to enjoy and I look forward to many more.
Amazing as always! You’re THE BEST.
I hope all is well with you and Darryl.
Take care Maria (and Darryl)!!! ❤️
Your voice instantly relaxes me 😊 Love watching your cooking videos even tho I’m veggie! ❣️
HanaASMR you don’t get cravings for meat? I’m curious, cuz until I eat meat I don’t really feel satisfied
Karma nope! I loved having meat on pizza and cold cut meats were my fave but once I cut them out completely I stopped craving it. I substitute with things like quorn vegan nuggets and eat lots of carbs like potatoes / rice with lots of veggies! When I became vegetarian my eczema improved as well :’)
SAMEEE 🙈
HanaASMR oh wow good to know keep it up
I think Maria said she’s a veggie too - she must have made an exception for the patties! 🐓 🌽
I mix all my stuff with my hands! Makes the food taste better! Especially meatballs! I highly doubt anybody was grossed out by that and if they were, they dont cook! Lol!! Love this, Maria! I will be making these!
that doesnt sound healthy
@@toast6902 Lol, so everything you cook, your hands never touch it? Hmmm. No love in your food, thats sad :(.
There are some foods you need to mix with something other than your hands...
This is one of my favorite ASMR videos of all time. I watch it a lot, and whenever I watch it I think about wanting to make this chicken! Tonight I am making the chicken, I’m so excited to try it! Thank you Maria
PRETTY PLEASE Start an ASMR cooking channel oh my goodness its so relaxing and looks delicious I'm actually going to try this it looks amazing and so affordable and simple to make. As a single mother these are the recipes I thrive on!
So I just made this meal for dinner for my partner and myself and turned out so well. Both dishes are delicious. Thank you Maria xxx
I could listen to you rip crust off that bread and squish it with the milk for hours as long as every now and then we get an intermission of you saying "couscous" over top of the couscous actually cooking. I'd be in tingle heaven! Still one of my favorite all time videos Still watch it several nights a week:)
