OMGosh, I used to watch my mother iron, and she did it much like this. Slow and careful, sometimes talking/whispering about what she was doing, sometimes humming, sometimes staying so quiet I could hear her breathing. One of my best childhood memories.

This is what asmr is actually about, imo. Getting back to what gave me asmr in the first place, watching someone complete a task in a slow, gentle way while speaking in a soothing voice. Martha Stewart was the first one to give me that feeling lol. Please do more videos like this!! Thank u :)

Soooo I never knew that there was a technical term for the sensation I got from hearing certain voices whispering or certain sounds that made me feel almost instantly numb and paralyzed (in the good way of course) until I found out about Ms. Maria. I discovered her in 2015 while I was deployed over seas. I was homesick, missed my son, had a real hard time sleeping. So I'd watch parts of movies on TH-cam that put me to sleep like Christopher Lloyd in the pagemaster or the old lady in the first poltergeists, ya know, the scene where she's talkin to the mom on the couch? Anyway, a random video popped up about "tapping cards and notebooks" and it was sub labeled ASMR. Of course I researched that, found out I'm effected heavily by it and went on a binge for almost a straight year, been subscribed since then. So Maria thank you so much for this gift. I'm heading back over seas next year somewhere around this time. So just know that your coming with me to Iraq :) metaphorically that is. Thank you in advance for helping me sleep next year, even tonight. You have a rare gift:)

Chris Rose honestly lol, I use to be really bad at math as a kid and so they sent me to the special math class 😭. But the instructor's voice was so pleasant and similar to ASMR I still couldn't concentrate and didn't know why. I'd rather listen to him but not retain.

The first time I've ever experienced ASMR was when my grandmother was ironing clothes, talking about her childhood in such a relaxing voice. So I'm in love with this video!

I turned 18 today and I was on a school field trip to Washington DC and 91 students paid $1200 to come up here and see the inauguration and the company we used didn't get us in and refuses to give us compensation.Everyone has been upset since Friday. Today everyone was at each others throats and people were just sobbing left and right and I was forced to console people for my entire birthday. Then my teacher starts telling my good friend that he isn't good enough for his girlfriend and it's absolutely ridiculous. So I'm so happy that Maria posted a video today. This was the perfect birthday surprise to make me feel better about how awful things have been. Thank you Maria. It's something that shows you care, you take some time to do something for someone else, something that hasn't got any effect on you. When I found out about you I think I was in 8th grade & I'm a freshman in college & your videos have totally helped me out! With my ongoing stress & my loud roommates. I have a back problem & whenever I have back pain I listen to you and the tingles go right down my spine!! Easing the pain and tension & I fall asleep waking up relaxed and refreshed!! Keep doing what you're doing girl!! Can't thank you enough!!!
I may be in a minority here but I enjoy ironing, it's one of the few chores I like. I do it once a week late at night before bed with the radio on listening to the late night "love cruise" on the local radio channel.

I have long been looking for asmr video with role play Gardener in greenhouse or similar,, which nurture plants and give them water and showers,, splashing water on them.

Maria, I don't know if you made a conscious effort to do it differently this time but I adore your voice in this video! It's so natural and quiet and it has lipsmacking without it sounding exagerated. It's been a while since I had a video that I always go back to. I usually watch your old videos again and again but this one has the kind of whisper/soft speaking that I love from the old ones. I can definitely tell that I'll be coming back to this one. If you don't mind, I'd love to see more like this in the future!

Holy cow , i dreamt about it for years and someone - you ! - did it ! When i was a little girl , i wouldn't have missed my nanny ironing for the world . It was such a break of peace and bliss to me ... Then i grew up and now it's me who's ironing but it doesn't have the same ring and nobody whispers in my ears ... I always thought i was crazy as a loon to like that but i'm apparently not alone in the club ! So THANK YOU MARIA , thank you so very much , thank you thank you !

there is just something so relaxing about watching and listening to someone ironing clothes. I think it has a lot to do with growing up and watching mum iron as we got ready to go out. This was very relaxing and helped calm me after a day filled with nothing but literature homework. thank you for sharing.
