Having lived in San Francisco Oakland and Richmond, I can 110% concur with Cam on this one. You will absolutely get robbed if you're flashing jewelry or anything expensive. People get robbed for back packs in the Bay. It's a beautiful place but it's definitely a dangerous place if you're not careful.. plus they hardly let anybody get a license to carry so you're nearly defenseless. Stay safe 😊
