The Pro 2 is also my favorite controller of all time! I don't know what they could possibly improve with a Pro 3, but I'm excited at the idea of that happening one day.
I recently snagged an SN30 Pro (Atomic Purple!) to use via Bluetooth to consolize my RGB30 when I plug it into a large display over HDMI. It's SPLENDID!
I'm in the market for a new PC controller, and you just sold me on that red and white pad. I wish you got a commission, my man, because it's all you. I trust your judgment over most others.
Look no further than Analogue... lol I know thats probably not what you mean... but 8Bitdo and Analogue are like siblings... very closely related. The CEO of Analogue is the CMO of 8Bitdo.
The only thing missing from 8bitdo controllers is HD rumble. There are a few third party controllers with HD rumble. It only requires that the manufacturer use linear actuators instead of rumble motors.
My complaint is how the pro 2 controller (the snes with handles) can connect to a lot of different things and you can just switch between the different modes with the switch on the back but the ultimate controller doesn't do that. Only certain modes are available on Bluetooth and others on the dongle.
I went with the KingKong 2 from Gulikit over the Pro controller from 8bitdo. The motion controls, NFC reader and the ability to wake up the Switch wirelessly won me over.
Hi. At 4:05 you are saying that we could buy at 8bitdo swapped buttons dispositions (switch mod or xbox mod). I didnt find out. Can you show me where ? Regards.
How do the thumbsticks feel? I find the ones on the Switch Pro gamepad feeling okay, but too loose. I much more like the thumbsticks on Sony's DS5. They're a tighter. How do these compare? So Switch Pro vs DS5?
Can you get your buddies at 8bitdo to make a 6 button pad with dual sticks and triggers? More old school consoles use a 6 button configuration than the diamond.
I got an 8bitdo Xbox controller for my PC, and it's the best. I've had for a whole year, and it just keeps on trucking. Only down side is it got stored wrong, and now one stick drifts. After the holidays, I will look at getting either the pro or ultimate controller. Would definitely buy them agin.
The ultimate is actually pretty bad IMHO if you have big hands. A lot of reviews never mentions this, so I found out the hard way. Go for the pro 2 instead if you have above average hand size (if you can pick up a adult-size basketball with one hand).
I only have a problem with the Ultimate Bluetooth Controller on the Switch. I do play Splatoon allot but the gyro was so off. I gave it many hours of testing but the aiming was just way off. The sticks were not bad but not great. I tried it on both BT and 2.4GHz, both bad. I was hoping that the gyro's sensitivity was tunable. That probably would make a difference. I would not recommend it for gyro aiming. I also did not care for the vibration but not a deal breaker. The Pro 2 I LOVE for its D-PAD. Works great for retro and SMB Wonder. I also love the switchable battery pack. Batteries only last so long but this controller feels that it will outlast the original batteries. Nice to be able to put in rechargeable AAs. I also love the arcade stick and it's NES Advantage theme. Highly recommended!
I love that they made the Ultimate Controller in my favorite color: blue. I already have 3 of these controllers (including both of the 10th Anniversary controllers), but hot damn do I want a blue one.
I have the Ultimate Bluetooth Controller and their arcade stick. Both are awesome! I use them both on PC and the ultimate controller even on Xbox 360 (with Brook Wingman adapter). If I needed a new keyboard, I'd look into their keyboard. I don't mind the feel of the "sandpaper" texture, but I don't like that it catches all the Cheetos dust
@@bland9876 Oh, no numpad... I like having a numpad. I didn't even know that they also have a mouse 😁 I only knew of those two huge extra buttons for the keyboard.
You can buy xbox layout buttons but not in the different color waves only in the xbox button colors, and also if you open it to change the buttons you void your warranty. This is my biggest gripe with this controller I really wish I could just get red xbox layout buttons for my red controller
i love 8bitdo! I have their Brick Style Switch adapter, Sn30 Pro and the N30 Arcade Stick. I'm gonna pick up the Snk Controller and the Pro 2 for sure!
I wish 8bitdo could is make some more different kinds of Xbox controllers ... Different colours... Like a transparent green ... That's my only issue.... All in all however i absolutely love 8bitdo
My Ultimate Wired 8bit Do starts and controls two players at the same time on my Steam Deck. Does anyone know how to prevent this? It happens on Steam games and emulators.
I own every color / variant of the pro 2 and use it for everything I can. It's like a SNES controller and Playstation controller had a baby. No complaints whatsoever.
8bitdo have the best controllers in the business. i have an m30, n30, n30 pro 2, sn30pro+, pro 2, neo geo pad, coregrafx pad, and wanna buy that famicom theme kb you have!
These confuse me mate i need one that can connect via Bluetooth and wired via usb c to my android phone and deck oled when it comes but unsure on best one with hall effect color dosent matter prefer a cheaper deal 💯💯💚👊
Their controllers can be iffy. Their first line of sn30 pros with the grips can have issues of random disconnecting. For a while, I thought it was the battery cause they are easily replaceable. Turns out with the pro 2, some of them can have issues of the mode switch switching modes. It can be so sensitive, that anything can slightly make it switch modes
When he said he uses them on your mom I lost it because I've done that on my wife about 20 or so years ago hell we were young and I was a little tipsy and lets just say I have never crashed into a wall in a game so many times on purpose! 🤣🤣💯
I'm a huge 8Bitdo fan for sure. I have SN30 Pros for my Raspberry Pi and The Ultimate wired for my PC and my Switch. I won't buy any other controller anymore.
I bought a Pro 2 for PC and Switch a while ago and agree, it's outstanding. For current gen, I'd rank the best controllers as 1. Dualsense 2. 8Bitdo Pro2 and a far distant 3. Series X controller
I'm rockin' a 8bitdo SN30Pro and SN30Pro 2, no reason to use any other controllers anymore. I thought I might use the Joystick more but right now it just collecting dusk on my bookshelf. Ain't got no friend to fight with anymore. :*(
I love 8BitDo as well...but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I don't recommend any of their controllers for BR/MP... unless you really enjoy massive stick drift within a couple months. Other than that though, definitely. Easily the best value for the price.
The white part on the back is the reason I won't buy it. Why do they make stuff that they know will get super dirty or add fingerprints (high gloss)...I just don't get it. I love 8BitDo though.
That red looked really awesome until you turned it over, and it had that awful white back part. I hated that about the red Xbox controllers, and now 8bitdo decided to do the same.
And 8BitDo's upcoming N64 controller for the Analogue 3D is pretty much the Ultimate controller with N64 button layout and GameCube-style thumb stick, which is all awesome!

8bitdo really nailed that sweet spot of quality and price. Their DIY boards for OG controllers are fantastic as well!
The Pro 2 is also my favorite controller of all time! I don't know what they could possibly improve with a Pro 3, but I'm excited at the idea of that happening one day.
I love 8bitdo too. I have the pro 2 controller, as well as the mod kits for snes, genesis, playstatyon and n64 controllers.
The 8bitdo ultimate controller with hall effect sticks is my main controller on PC
Your handwork on the products is great...reminds me of one of those QVC 4am shows..but way more interesting.
Love 8bitdo❤ I use the Pro2.. love the playstation-esque feel of it
I recently snagged an SN30 Pro (Atomic Purple!) to use via Bluetooth to consolize my RGB30 when I plug it into a large display over HDMI. It's SPLENDID!
Yeah, Im a huge fan. I got a bunch of their controllers for my mini consoles and steamdeck. They work and feel great. 8bitdo make good stuff.
I bought the red one of your link. I also bought the retro keyboard by them about a month ago. Its awesome. I love 8bitdo stuff.
I'm in the market for a new PC controller, and you just sold me on that red and white pad. I wish you got a commission, my man, because it's all you. I trust your judgment over most others.
My mom requires the rumble pack 😂
Love that Praetorian Guard Red but I don't like the white back. I'd like to have black for the back instead.
I hv to admit 8bitdo are awesome I hv a ton of their stuff. Need to get the Ultimate controller!
Perhaps it's time for 8bitdo to release a retro console of sort?
Look no further than Analogue... lol I know thats probably not what you mean... but 8Bitdo and Analogue are like siblings... very closely related. The CEO of Analogue is the CMO of 8Bitdo.
@@Madlittlepixel But the way Analogue market their consoles are mostly like Porsche is compared to Volkswagen which is 8bitdo.
lol why you gotta use an 8bitdo on my mom, bro?
Choosy moms choose 8bitdo
They use quality vibration motors
I ordered the blue version of the Ultimate Bluetooth Controller :D
The only thing missing from 8bitdo controllers is HD rumble. There are a few third party controllers with HD rumble. It only requires that the manufacturer use linear actuators instead of rumble motors.
I recommend their mod kits for turning OEM classic retro console controllers into wireless/Bluetooth pads.
lol the controller pumice stone combo! But for real 8bitdo makes some quality stuff imho.
I use these on.... your Mom, Everything! 😂😂
My complaint is how the pro 2 controller (the snes with handles) can connect to a lot of different things and you can just switch between the different modes with the switch on the back but the ultimate controller doesn't do that. Only certain modes are available on Bluetooth and others on the dongle.
Love them. They definitely should make a (modular) charging station for these.
I went with the KingKong 2 from Gulikit over the Pro controller from 8bitdo. The motion controls, NFC reader and the ability to wake up the Switch wirelessly won me over.
The ultimate has gyro as well as the ability to wake the switch. It just lacks nfc which I have never used
Heard the input lag was pretty bad on Kingkong. Reason why I never bought one and never seen anybody recommending it or saying they fixed it.
@@Foun_D_OnePiece Really?
I haven't had any issues with it yet.

Love 8bitdo.
Still so many of their controllers I want but don't have
The ultimate is actually pretty bad IMHO if you have big hands. A lot of reviews never mentions this, so I found out the hard way.
Go for the pro 2 instead if you have above average hand size (if you can pick up a adult-size basketball with one hand).
love 8bitdo!! I wish they would make a Gamecube controller with a good D-pad
I recently got my first 8bitdo product, the arcade stick for the Xbox series x and it is great! Very high quality.
I only have a problem with the Ultimate Bluetooth Controller on the Switch. I do play Splatoon allot but the gyro was so off. I gave it many hours of testing but the aiming was just way off. I don't mind the feel of the "sandpaper" texture, but I don't like that it catches all the Cheetos dust
The keyboard doesn't have a number pad and it's $100 and you have to buy the mouse separately for like another 25 or 30

8Bitdo is always solid. Went from making wireless SNES controllers to making some of the best 3rd party controllers out there.
They are my favorite and the wireless M30 is my go to controller.
no hall effect on those sticks right?

Can you remap this controllers buttons in the switch settings?
has anyone tried using a controller with analog sticks on an Evercade VS?
I have 2 8bitdo controllers, 1 is the lite 1 and the other is the SN30 Xbox Cloud Gaming which is also useful for other games on android and IOS.
m30 would be great if the dpad didn't give false diagonals, I find most of the 8bitdo controllers will give you many false inputs in tetris.
"that middle finger is all up in there" hmm...that's one way to rate a controller.
I wish 8bitdo could is make some more different kinds of Xbox controllers ... Different colours... Like a transparent green ... That's my only issue.... All in all however i absolutely love 8bitdo
Considering the ultimate c is like 30 dollars less it's hard to justify the extra price point for the addition of blu tooth.
Should have made it all red
