When a hot end is out of the printer, I use a soldering iron to heat the hot end up and get hte filament out using a nozzle cleaner. It takes a few pokes with a nozzle cleaner to clear the hot end, but it can be done. I have a slightly larger hot end cleaner that pushes the filament through the nozzle and then the thinner nozzle cleaner to clear the nozzle. Iys best of you could clamp either the solderting iron down or the hot end as you need 3 hands. Hope this helps
The only thing that needs adjusting on the K9 is the z off set. but hard to do without having a screen to see what it is set at. On my enders, I used to print a square almost the size of the ben and set the z off set by looking at the print when it was going diaganol to see where it it was good, but with the easythreed, the bed has to be adjusted closer to the nozzle. HArder to do when it is printing.
I swapped the K9 firmware with firmware from git hub Schmittc and its much better off the bat. It was easy to do and it prints much better. If you still have it you could try that. It fixed my issue of the incorrect temperature being reported as well. Other things don't work as well eg loading & unloading filament but I use Octoprint for that now and its totally controllable with Octoprint.
@@NightStarLeafTech-vj3ez I dont have my K9. One day, I will buy another as they are cheap and good little printers. It was my first working printer I bought. It got me to learn about printing and to learn how to design in tinkercad. Now I know more about printers, I might buy one just to kind ot upgrade and play with.

I bought a deburring yool and 10 blades off AliExpress. Quite cheap in the choices option. It is for cleaning the prints.
