Since I never play multiplayer, I forget just how tiny the Pioneer is compared to all the stuff we build. Nice video!
Thank you, and I agree. I am putting in a vegetable garden this year that is 8x16m, or the size of 2 foundations, and it is HUGE!
This makes no sense, mtiplayer has nothing to do with the size of your character or the environment or the machines.

@@Fivemacs When you play single player you see everything in first person. There are no other humans that can act as a frame of reference for size.
@@Fivemacs It makes all the sense, you can use the other players as comparison. If you play solo, you dont see your own character model because it is first person POV
Ugh, I've been really trying to hold off on getting back into Satisfactory since 1.0 is so close, but this makes me want to play it NOW!

Just found this video by accident. I love this game so so much and playing it myself since the first day of early access release. Looking forward to 1.0 this year. It's always great to see how different ppl built and create their factories. You did a real great job.
Im always happy to see someone else who gives their foundations proper...erm... Foundation. Pillars, walls and ramps look better, in my opinion, than big floating bases.
Nice! I have a buddy that I have gamed with for over 25 years now from OG Command & Conquer to Space Engineers, to this, and we have always enjoyed co-op strategy games of all sorts. Satisfactory has been such a good gaming staple for us for many hundreds of hours. The game is so well executed and immersive. Coffee Stain did an incredible job with this one on a genre that you'd never expect to have the deep immersive and enjoyable experience like this. A factory builder has no right to have such good atmosphere, feel, sounds, visuals, and everything in between. The game rewards you for taking advantage of the large map and you soon find that the far area over there that seemed way too far away and inaccessible, is now simply your oil refinery you can hyper tube over to!
Great video you put together and I always appreciate seeing building and structure aesthetics that people do such as your standardized orange plating. I tend to gravitate towards very large multi-story buildings with large grid windows to give that WWII prime industrial era feel. So many pleasing ways to do it.
really love how they use different levels to combat terrain unevenness, its amazing how good just adding barriers and grounding the platforms and then pulling the colour from the barriers looks! Will have to try that in my next build

I really like your aesthetic - platforms with belts connecting. It allows some of the natural beauty of the world to be retained while not getting in your way. Killer music too. :)

I always have a hard time in Satisfactory because of building around the terrain... for some reason it never occurred to me to just... build my platforms a bit higher.
Early game to coal is always my favorite part 😋

For anyone wondering this is not what your game will be like. This is a person that clearly has thousand’s of hours in this game.
Your experience will be endless frustration trying to build something and tonnes and tonnes of walking simulator.

This is indeed not what your game be like. Because there is a lot happening behind the scenes, but not shown, including walking around a lot.

Hey i played satisfactory a bit when it released wayyy back then. Is this really a thing now that you can deposit Materials in a Depot , and use another Depot like way far away and those materials " spawn " out of that depot?
How do you make these videos? this is so creative, how early game should be done! This looks amazing!
Interesting to see how others do things, for example i usually build with expansion in mind around a central bus that gets really high with every item on its own conveyor in the desert of course.
How did you record this? Like did you have a 2nd account in creative just hover over you or what? Also 10/10 Satisfactory Video.

I struggled with this for a long time but decided to go for it. 1.0 could be a month away but is more likely closer to 6. With the way I play, I *should* be able to get through the game, or close, and then play with all the new 1.0 stuff when it releases.
I wanna get back in so badly, but I just can't put another 300 hours into a map, just to have a recipe change obliterate my entire factory (looking at you, Coal power). So I gotta wait on that 1.0

Does that method of splitting work well? It looks a lot more compact than the way I do it. I make branches coming off, going to other machines. Rather than a main belt, running perpendicular with splitters coming off in front of the input machines. Does that method work for more than two smelters?
Yep it's called a manifold. Takes a minute to fill the machines but then it's perfectly efficient

Does the game have a record+replay feature?
It does not. I created the camera path in a mod and built in front of it as it went.
Hah, wow... that's an insane amount of planning! I'm even more impressed now :)
Love the format and tutorials as always. Watching in 4K on my LG C2OLED with TH-cam Premium, it seems the source bit-rate of the recording is a quite low (blocky, like as if in 720p).
Looking forward to part 2.
Thanks for the heads up. I play in 4k on my TV so the source is 4k but edit in 1080 on my pc monitor so I must have missed it. I'll up the bitrate, should help going forward. Edit: yes, I just double checked and am still recording at 15 Mbps, which is appropriate for 2k but low for 4k. Ive bumped it to 50 so future 4k vids should be higher fidelity.

Did you use a mod to record this or is there a creative mode in game?
There is a creative mode in game, but all of the building you see here was done without it. I did use a mod for the camera work, though. The full story of the build is in an LP on my channel.

How did you get concrete, straight away, takes time to unlock
This starts about an hour into gameplay. It is a compilation of builds from my let's play series, which goes into a lot more detail

The video was very beautiful, but the way you organize it for distribution on the conveyor belts is not efficient, after taking a look.
Iron wire and stitched iron plate recipe? That early in the game🤔
Yep. I hunt them down as soon as I have my basic factory set up. In my LP, I got them in Ep. 3 and built the RIP factory in Ep 4. There are only 6 alternates available at that part of the game so you only need to get 4 drives to guarantee both of those and cast screws, i do it in every playthrough now, and if you get 2 more you can also unlock the inventory expansions. Highly recommend.

What's the real time this took? This was both satisfying and painful
What was painful? Timestamp on the save at the end was 20 hours, so somewhat less than that for what is shown here.

Nope, just patient. I built 4 concrete factories and let them run for a bit to stockpile before I started filming this. I show a lot of the pre-work in my lp

i was expecting a fresh start time laps not a time-lapse of a post unlock / creative
This is fresh and vanilla build of tiers 1 and 2, from a new game to launching the first space elevator. No creative mode was used, though I did have to build a couple concrete factories that arent shown as it takes forever to get enough for foundations. This starts with basic logistics and base building unlocked, but you can see the process of how I got there in the full length series on my channel if you are keen, Ep 1 starts properly from scratch (and includes the first bit of this video)
@@Dekoba but how did you have so much recources directly from the beginning? So many foundations + Bio generators + Smelters + Constructers, I did not had this many items when I started the game.
This is not a time-lapse of a full play through, just the highlights of the active building. You can watch the full episodes to get a better idea of the process, although it's not a stream of every minute of play time if that's what you are looking for.
The only "extra" I see is the use of Stitched Iron Plate alternate recipe for Reinforced Iron Plates *edit* and Iron Wire to make the Wire for it out of Iron instead of Copper */edit*. But that is very easily obtainable through normal play.
@@Palric option to skip tier 0 gives you all of these machines automatically unlocked as well as giving you some starter resources.

honestly i would love to love satisfactory, its agreat game, but the building process itself is such a godawful cancer.
the buildings are too big, and belting feels like dying.
not as bad as pipes in foundry, but still awful.
It's arrogant af but I play better satisfactory and worse also.
