Having done a few TB mockups myself, I can only applaud the effort it took to not only transcribe the notes, but also to get a good production :) Few thoughts: - Oceania is perfect for this type of FFF choir writing, and I believe I saw you use it in an earlier video - why not here? Fun fact: TB actually has his own custom choir library which funtions similar to Oceania. For quieter sections and legato passages he seems to use Olympus and Freyja (when the choirs aren't live recorded obviously) - The sustained strings are a bit lifeless, they could breathe more with CC1 & CC11 - I see you have the dynamics at 100% a lot of the time - What happened at 3:28 lol
Thank you for listening, I agree with you, and sorry for that weird note on 3:28, you know how it is when you get closer to completion.... I've used Oceania before but I don't have a word builder in it, this one has one and wanted to see how close I can get to real choir. I was not too happy but anyway it would also help others.
Snarf ive never been there. I dont know where is...but this is amazing especially to someone who doesnt know better (like me). I love this song either way, and LOVE to see others applying their own spin/flavor on it and all of TBs work for that matter. Great job.
An amazing piece of work! I can only begin to imagine how painstaking this must have been, but on the other hand it must have been fun to create. This piece has been on my wish-list for a while and I might try to create a similar cover (this of course only with your permission). The only thing I can't place at the moment is the fluctuation in the Tempo in between the Markers. It looks like 126Bpm but fluctuates higher and lower. Could you tell me what's causing that? I had a smile on my face at 4:46 because the Vocal library can't reach this high note which was masked by the Trumpet. I'm glad I found your channel and will have fun to listen to your Music. Thanks for sharing and have a great day ;-)
I see you are using Cubase Pro. You can have a tempo map on your tempo track. I usually start with the backing track and map the tempo to the downbeats then record midi
@@VickenIshkhanian Thanks for the tip. I hope you don't mind if I ask for your advice in the future because I could use some guidance om using the right effect's (settings and routing) and the correct use of compression and Eq-ing. I'm not going to spam you with loads of questions but it would be great if I get stuck in a composition and could turn to you for suggestions. Talk to you later ;-)
@@VickenIshkhanian I know the original song very well, so it was really interesting to listen to your version of it. The part from @3:45 is one of my favorites from TSFH :)

Thank you for your kind words, all done by ear and visuals from the video, I was able to get a score from a site but was not accurate or even complete.
@@VickenIshkhanian This makes it even more awesome - i recreated two TSFH Songs myself just by ear - and know what heavy work this is. And they were not even half as complex as this one.
AWESOME WORK!!! Such attention to detail!! BRAVO!!

Good afternoon, how are you! I would like to know if you could make the project file you used or the score available for study?
Do you use Cubase?

How long did you work on this man? awesome
Getting a message saying viewers cannot download when I try to access the MIDI file and go to details.
Sorry about that, I removed the file from my google drive while cleaning up some files, I have since restored it.
@@VickenIshkhanian Thank you very much for the quick reply. It now goes to asking for permission. Thank you again and really enjoyed this mock-up.
Try again now. Many permission settings don’t know which one to set to.

For what purpose?

Do you know Thomas Bergersen doesn't like Cubase, but uses it?
Because it's one of the best? I have been using Cubase for 18 years since VST version, thanks for listening though.
