- This is what a typical Sunday looks like on Skid Row as summertime is in full effect and it’s hot in the streets!! There was at least 5 different organizations passing out food, water and clothing.
This is a #fpv of the parts of Los Angeles that TV Shows and Hollywood movies won’t show you.
Skid Row has been around since the 1930s and doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon.

I went on holiday to USA for two weeks now a week ago , LA , Las Vegas and New York , they definitely as tourists don’t show you this side of America , one thing I did notice everywhere I went I smelt weed all the time, sometimes even in buildings. I ran a lot in New York and it was the worst there even the air quality. I loved USA tho so much to do there compared to South Africa. Also lots of friendly Americans everywhere , but the airport staff were not so accommodating.
Now that weed is basically legal in the US. , it still has unknown effects? It is a very mysterious LADY! It has many good effects! But on the flip side, it can really alter your mind to think different! Very dangerous in the hands of the cops!

This is not only sad, but embarrassing. To think that the land of the free and land of opportunity could turn into this. Could easily resolve it too if we didn't waste so much funds overseas, bring back mental facilities, let citizens arm themselves and give police the cash they need.

Austin is not as pristine as it was a few years ago, and the moron elected liberal "city officials" allow too many "tent cities" and panhandlers in the city to roam, but it is not nearly as bad as most of the "BLUE CITIES" in the US like LA. i would never live like that. at minimum i would work a local minimum wage job and rent a room.
In this country most can’t even afford a room with minimum wage ..Even in sunny CA 20 dollars/hr you can’t live on it it’s either a “room” bills etc or eat… and don’t forget DrUgS that costs money too ,many of the homeless do not want to spend their SSI checks on a room how will they get high? This is coming from someone who worked in LAs Mental Health Field

Is this the American dream. Shocking how people are living. How can it be justified seeing children living like this. Where are the authorities for gods sake. In one of the worlds richest countries the division between rich and poor is staggering It won’t be a choice for lots of these people. Circumstances can change peoples lives drastically.

They're not going to run out of money, they're out there busting their asses working every day in jobs that locals won't do or can't get because they fail the drug tests. In 5 years the undocumented immigrants will have their own house and car and send their kids to school, while the locals are taking fentanyl and complaining about how bad their life is.
Actually some illegal migrants do end up on the streets, which is sad regardless of origin, no one should be living like that.
