- The City of Los Angeles will host numerous events in the upcoming Olympics, so I’m wondering how the city is gonna cover up the massive homeless conundrum 🤔 Thoughts ??

Skid Row has been around since the 1930s and doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon.

I was homeless in San Diego California but after much help and work I’ve found a home the problem with most homeless there dirty and on drugs or drunk it’s a sad situation anyway you look at it

I lived in 2 hotels in the 80's wasn't like this. I stayed at the Ford on 7th Stanford and the Eugene on Stanford and 6th Street. Back then was community bathrooms on each floor. Jacks was the store on 6th where we brought with food stamps next to the body oil shop. There were mostly people living in cardboard boxes,
Now instead of cardboard boxes… it’s 1000$ tents 🏕️
@@JayWalkinTV Yep is sure is I am now 72 years old now I was not living on the street. I was living in the cheap hotels back then we had General Relief was 250.00 a month and Food Stamps books be like 60- 100 dollars. The rooms was like 200.00 a month and you 50 left over but you always had your food stamp book. But we had to work a job a few days a week and record it and turn it in. I was parking lot attendant watch the parking lot at the social service building on Vermont Ave you had to work to get the 250.00 check and the food stamp card. Now I guess you don't have to work anymore.
The homeless population was not this high it grows every year Don’t blame them it’s the cost of living driving a downward spiral. Learn to support and encourage local programs that help others

I would bet money most of these unfortunate souls are probably not even from California. Some not even from the US. My first thoughts are for the government to buy up vacant buildings and give these people a place to live but would that incentivize people to become homeless? I believe it would. Most people blame the homeless for their situation and that may be true but I think the root of the problem is irresponsible procreation.

I feel bad for them as well, but they are not poor, a lot of them get government checks, food stamps, free food, clothing etc. etc. they do have enough money to buy drugs, all I can say I hope they clean, and live a normal life🙏
