If you want to hear another really slow and heavy and beautiful song by Watain you should listen to They Rode On. Waters of Ain and Sworn to the Dark are great songs too. You have great taste in music Sir:)

Watain always has great f***king imagery .Awesome slow burn of a song . The lady singing at the beginning is Farida Lemouchi, formerly of the awesome band the Devil's Blood. Somehow I missed this album, I'll have to listen to it tonight. Stay Evil ... uh Stay Metal! ☠☠

Hey man, good video. Glad you enjoyed the song. To give some background about the song/Watain in general for future listens to their music, this song is very different from their normal stuff. The guest vocalist in the beginning is Farida Lemouchi, from the occult rock band The Devil's Blood. Selim Lemouchi was the main songwriter and wrote all the lyrics, and had his sister Farida be the mouth to his words. Even though the music was very different, they had toured together and Selim was a very close friend to Watain, even playing guitar in numerous live performances for them. He passed away in 2014 once he felt he had accomplished all he needed to here. Watain is very serious about their beliefs and each concert is treated as a ritual. This song/video in particular is really meant as a tribute to all the people close to the band, and a tribute to those who have lived and died walking the same path as them spiritually. Watain's first two albums are some of the most sinister and evil sounding black metal around, but every album is fucking killer.

Dude thanks for the explanation. I felt such a heavy weight during this song. That would explain that this song is a tribute and means alot to the band. Appreciste the guidance.

First of all I have to thanks the very same existence of your channel. You are doing a great job here and even more important is that you are just sincere and open with your emotions, visions and so on (that's great and mostly appreciated).
Anyway, I will be very curious about your reactions on three songs by them (there are many other that are great as well but these two, personally, have a deep meaning for me and hold a special place in my heart) and these are: The Serpents Chalice, Waters of Ain and The Wild Hunt.
    Hope you'll react to them!

Great video, I just accidently came across your channel. I'm gonna make a suggestion for a song - Darvaza - The Silver Chalice Now... this band is partially involved in the sub-group/category of what is known as "Nidrosian Black Metal" This type of black metal in my opitnion is the true essence of the music genre. Very few bands nowadays are able to invoke in the soul and spirit what Nidrosian Black Metal bands are able to. Watain is certainly one of those bands that, as you said, you feel it in your soul. Other bands such as Celestial Bloodshed, One Tail, One Head, Kaosritual, Ritual Death, Beyond Man, Whoredom Rife and others are part of the Nidrosian category, if you decide to give a crack at those bands too.

    Hell!.
Watain is one of my favorite bands. You should listen more. Listen the song "Malfeitor" live, to feel all of Watain's energy.
Now, please let me recommend another great band, Mephorash. If you liked this song from Watain, forces yourself to listen "Sanguinem" from Mephorash and the great song "Sfaira Tis Fotias". 🤘

I liked it very much in the beginning butI turned it off about half way through because I felt like I was hearing the same thing over and over. Sorry, just not my thing.
