In the ps3 Games he had of course certain worries, but he remained confident and ready for Everything, but in Rift Apart they made his CHARACTER "worry" itself. Sunset Overdrive was EASILY my favorite game as a kid. I've played hundreds of hours of the game and loved all the jokes and little details in it. It's so sad thats its slowly been forgotten over the years. i could go on forever about the things i love about this game.
God. I love Sunset Overdrive. I haven't even started the video & you just randomly appeared in my recommended..but I'm so excited to dive into this video and watch. It's truly a game that's not talked about or played enough!
Ah yes. Sunset Overdrive is finally getting the recognition it deserves. One of my favorite games of all time yet I can’t really talk about it with anyone because most people haven’t even heard of the game. I first played through the game Christmas Day when I got my Xbox one. I played through the whole story that day. It was so fun. Spent the next few days leveling up my guns. But I didn’t finish. Some time a couple years after that I came back to the game and beat it again and basically 100% including the DLCs that had come out besides getting all collectibles and maxing out badges. Even after doing all that already, this video got me debating playing it again. That’s really how good this game is. How fun it is. Great game and a great video!
Thanks for putting the game in the Spotlight. I didn't know it existed before the Video. My latest addition to my Steam Library. Some Fizzo and then full hooah I guess 😉
Everything you described in the memories section is exactly my experience with the game. I always forget how fun it is and have to play it again when I’m reminded of it.
Great timing, this was just in the back of my mind. I remember watching some of my favourite youtubers playing it back in the day and it didn't get past ep 3 in the series. It looked like a lot of fun though. A shame it didn't take off.
I haven’t played Sunset Overdrive, but the mix of fun traversal mechanics and 90’s coooool makes me really want to see Insomniac take on the Tony Hawk franchise. No one else could do it as much justice
Watched this video 2 days ago, and been playing it since. Can’t believe I missed this. It’s so fun. It’s genuinely one of the funniest games I’ve ever played too. Game humour is often extremely cringe, but this is hilarious. The guns so far are very fun. They all have really cool and interesting twists. I don’t love the aiming, but you get used to it. I’d love to see more graphics settings, but it’s an old game, so what can you do. It runs fantastically on my 3080 12GB and 7600x, at a mostly solid 120fps even at 4K. The story isn’t deep, obviously, but it’s good enough to make you care about what you’re doing, and that’s enough for me. It’s good solid entertainment. I can definitely recommend it, and I’m glad I watched this! Thanks bro
I own Sunset Overdrive.... I had fun playing it but I didnt stick with it probably because the demon that was sent to confuse me is called Attentionael Defficiion
sunset overdrive was one of the first games (maybe even *the* first) that I ever 100%'d. the game is so slept on and really needs to be spoken about more.
I got to play this on a friend's Xbox and I wound up beating the game in one night. Sunset to sunrise, I was utterly enthralled in a way that's only happened a handful of times throughout my life. And I've never played the DLC either, but wouldn't ya know it that Sunset Overdrive is currently on sale for $5 on Steam! Guess it's time to give the game a proper playthrough, thanks for the video!
This is one of the first games that I have asked my mom to play as a kid. She said no, and I completely forgot about it until now. Thanks for the video

Sunset Overdrive is an amazing game, super underrated. I played the hell out of this game when I had an XBOX, over the top, ridiculous, comedic...... we need a sequel.
Man this takes me back..... one day I was sick and skipped school this game was recently downloaded on my Xbox from the game pass I binged the main story in one day. What a experience it was. Never really thought about it since until now.
This was one of the first Xbox One games during the launch of the console. It was definitely an incredible and fun experience playing Sunset Overdrive for the first time.
Grew up on GTA and Red Dead, but Sunset Overdrive has a special place in my heart; was actually thinking about it a lot over the past couple weeks, gotta get back into it.
The only game, where I actually forgot it had fast travel of any kind and I got used to planning the best route from A to B, as the traversal was that great 😁👍
A huge reason for why Sunset Overdrive died is that it was an Xbox One exclusive (which was a console with a legendarily disastrous launch), a new IP released in the final quarter. Though people weren't spoiled for choice in that year if my memory serves right. When it was finally released on PC in 2018 people just forgot about it.
Stuff like this always makes me wonder. What games in the past were lost, when they could have been a new empire. Like, Anthem, this game, others that never got there chance in the spotlight. It makes me kinda sad thinking about what amazing games were lost because history didn’t favor them.
I found this game by coincidence on steam and i was so glad i decided to buy it on a discount whim! Just by screenshots but it was soooo fun to play, truly underrated!!
Now i’m not discounting how good this game sounds, but “best movement” “weapon variety” “great rock/EDM soundtrack” Splatoon could give it a run for its money on those depts
You can see the Ratchet and Clank DNA all over this game. These devs knew how to make fun guns and movement their bread and butter. They been doing it since the PS2.
Sunset overdrive was one of the biggest games of the xbox one release era. It was pushed so hard with the game. Anyone who was alive and into xbox at the time has heard of sunset overdrive
Watch_Dogs 2 honestly doesn't get enough credit. It was awesome. As for Sunset Overdrive, I tried it a bit, but it was undderated when it came out so I focussed on diff games. Honestly does look like the culmination of 2008-2016 games

He is assumed dead, but such a significant character deserves to be shown, and that would most likely motivate Ratchet in meeting the other lombaxes, after he meet his father. But yet, again, sony OWNS insomniac since 2019. Insomniacs studio is in the Headquarter of sony California. One of the biggest shareholders of Sony is Blackrock, and they admited "the narrative is more Important than Money" or "we from Blackrock we're forcing behaviors." The OG Director & writer weren't involved in rift apart.
It's great seeing so many people making videos about Sunset Overdrive in the recent months
it reminds me of those movies that flopped on release but eventually gathered a cult following
Where is my sequel, Insomniac???!!!
You can blame Sony for that one
It flopped hard only broke even now this yr and Microsoft owns the rights not insomniac so definitely not getting made which is a pity
Like he said they’ve been bought by Sony to exclusively work on Spiderman
And even if it would have been great, the game wouldn’t get a sequel as there are too many SJWs around.

Microsoft let them keep the ip dude.
So cool to see someone talk so highly about this game. Actually an insanely fun game
Beat the whole game this year back in march on my steam deck I was so happy and thrilled with the silliness
Thank you for talking about sunset overdrive.
To sad that there will probably won’t be a second one.
ITS NOT SPIDERMAN MECHANICS ITS JET SET RADIO. AND IT MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE WHEN YOU RE-CONTEXTUALISE THE GAME.
I really hope this gets a sequel, it was really good
I feel so bad the game didn't make a good profit, this game looks awesome and incredibly fun, the team who made it deserves better. If anyone on that team sees this, I appreciate you, thank you so much for this game, you are loved and may The Father of All bless you and your family.

(Just to name a few lol, keep in mind it’s the same composers from Halo CE-Reach lol)
I've been gaming since 1980 and Sunset Overdrive is in my top 10 favorite games i've ever played. It is just-so-fun to move around in its world.
played it at launch and loved it, I immediately knew what game you were going to talk about just by the thumbnail
I hope you end up loving it just as much as I do!
This is the one and only game I experienced a gamebreaking bug in on console and it broke my heart that the story remained unsolvable for me.
Everything you described in the memories section is exactly my experience with the game. I always forget how fun it is and have to play it again when I’m reminded of it.
Man it’s awesome seeing this game get some attention, this was one of my favourite games as a kid and I still stand by it
Great timing, this was just in the back of my mind. I remember watching some of my favourite youtubers playing it back in the day and it didn't get past ep 3 in the series. It looked like a lot of fun though. A shame it didn't take off.
sunset overdrive was freaking amazing i wish they made another game honestly!!
This was my sleeper of last Gen and it wasn't close
recognized what game this vid was about based on the thumbnail phont. suntset overdrive holds a special place in my heart
Thanks bro
Someone doing a video essay on Sunset Overdrive is great. This game doesn't get as much appreciate as it should.
The game I most often do a quick Google search to see if a sequel might be forthcoming. I love this game so much, top 5 all time for me.
you just activated my core memory from my childhood. the first video i watched on this platform was a turkish guy playing this game. good times
Sunset overdrive holds such a special place in my heart
the gameplay looks like infamous meets ratchet and clank meets saints row, I'm sold
I played it back in the day and recently bought it again for like £3.60 on steam. It's aged shockingly well.
it 100% has
I got to play this on a friend's Xbox and I wound up beating the game in one night.
Saw the thumbnail. Skimmed through and dropped a like and a comment. Man i love this game. Good on you for this🤟🏼
I actually replayed this game at least 5 times and everytime I'm mad insomniac isn't allowed to make games with creativity anymore
This is the game that convinced me to get an Xbox One at launch, I absolutely loved it.
Welcome to the Algorithm. I think you will do great on TH-cam. Keep it up.
This is one of the first games that I have asked my mom to play as a kid. She said no, and I completely forgot about it until now. Thanks for the video
as one who played sunset overdrive it was amazing, and I do recommend it if you love chaos and just pure fun
OH MY GOD!!! Finally got around to watching the vid after putting it on my watch later while i was super busy and i'm so glad to see it's got crazy amounts of views!!! it came out amazing and i'm super glad to have helped to the small extent that i did :) (i'm the one who mentioned 2 u on steam that the game doesn't change when you switch gender)
I’ve always seen this game on game pass but never bothered to download. After watching your video I’m going to give it a try
YUS. Preach brother. I pray for a sequel some day.
It's alright know, everyone now knows it's only because of this game we have insonmiac's spiderman
I am upset that in the beginning you dont mention Witcher 3. The world there is beyond storytelling and exploration perfection
Me, and every other Sunset Overdrive fanatic who clicked this video:
Sunset overdrive was one of my favourite games for the longest time
Finally I come across someone who loves this game as much as I do
Watch Dogs 1 and 2 are incredibly solid games whose lack of appreciation never ceases to puzzle me
This was one of the first Xbox One games during the launch of the console. It was definitely an incredible and fun experience playing Sunset Overdrive for the first time.
Absolutely love that you included Firewatch. Loved that game!
Grew up on GTA and Red Dead, but Sunset Overdrive has a special place in my heart; was actually thinking about it a lot over the past couple weeks, gotta get back into it.
I love this game i remember playing it with my brother back in the day with ny xbox one
This is one of the best games I’ve ever played and have such fond memories of it
God I love clicking on these pyrocynical ahh titles 😩😩😩
The only game, where I actually forgot it had fast travel of any kind and I got used to planning the best route from A to B, as the traversal was that great 😁👍
dude i still periodically check insomniac’s website in the hopes of one day seeing a sunset overdrive 2
I was really high watching this last night and apparently ordered this game off amazon for $10, it gets here friday!
We all do things in the heat of passion, Jimbo
Thanks for this. I don’t play a lot of games so I end up missing and forgetting some.
The reason I never forget about this game is because the main character was voiced by spanish youtuber El Rubius, in the spanish release obviously
This game is awesome, I never understood the lack of recognition
A huge reason for why Sunset Overdrive died is that it was an Xbox One exclusive (which was a console with a legendarily disastrous launch), a new IP released in the final quarter. Though people weren't spoiled for choice in that year if my memory serves right.
When it was finally released on PC in 2018 people just forgot about it.
Stuff like this always makes me wonder. What games in the past were lost, when they could have been a new empire. Like, Anthem, this game, others that never got there chance in the spotlight. It makes me kinda sad thinking about what amazing games were lost because history didn’t favor them.
Anthem had the bones of a great game, held back by its awful looter-shooter elements. I am a bit sad that it never became the game it deserved to be.
No game experience has scratched this itch ever since and I will defend it to the day I die.
I hope you got paid for this video bc this is the best advertisement one can possibly do
I found this game by coincidence on steam and i was so glad i decided to buy it on a discount whim!
Remember seeing ads for it and really wanted to play sunset overdrive but never had the console for it 😢
Sunset overdrive was one of the biggest games of the xbox one release era. It was pushed so hard with the game. Anyone who was alive and into xbox at the time has heard of sunset overdrive
Sunset overdrive was awesome im gonna redownload my disc and play thanks for reminding me!!!
I remember when this came out I didn't have xbox or pc. Thanks for reminding me it exists.
Watch_Dogs 2 honestly doesn't get enough credit. It was awesome.
As for Sunset Overdrive, I tried it a bit, but it was undderated when it came out so I focussed on diff games. Honestly does look like the culmination of 2008-2016 games
