after the death of rasoolullaah sallallaahu alayhiwassallam, the muslims were crying and upset, and Abu Bakr as Siddiq stood up and said; "whoever worships Muhammad, then know that Muhammad is dead, but whoever worships Allaah (alone), then know that Allaah is the Ever-Living

Asalamu alaikum. Im going to be totally honest, even tho imran and ustadh very close to me i will speak the truth even if its against myself, and i do disagree with ustadh sometimes but on this debate i really wanted to hear both sides, ive never knew what the Ashari brothers believed in aqeedah, but me personally taking from the first part of debate, even if there was clear cut evidence to pray thru the messenger i would rather prefer to pray staright to Allah swt. the matter of shirk is not a joke and im not going to take the slightest chance to risk my hereafter especially if the evidence isnt solid. We should worship Allah swt alone. May Allah swt bless the brothers who attended and hope our hospitality was up to scratch towards them.

How can you make dua to other than the one who created you and sustains you. It's not natural, and it's not in the fitrah. I think if a survey was done, and every muslim was asked to make dua to the prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) they would refuse and feel like it's not right.

I am shocked how sheikh asrar who has made his claim did not back it up with his evidence. he should have presented his case with the evidence he has. why take 4 hours to bring his case? it's profound how anyone can think sheikh asrar won. basic premise in a debate is, he one who makes the claim backs it up with evidence, end of.

I am amazed by how Asrar chooses not to respond to a single question, nor has he have any evidence supporting his position. All he says is on speculation. No one is interested on what you beleive Mr Asrar what we want is you to provide proof from quran and sunnah. What a waste of time.

Asrar Rashid uses evidences that doesn't support his positions for example the prophet Muhammed s.a.w intercession for his Ummah on the Day of Judgement doesn't support calling upon him after his death is valid. Abu Bakr said whoever worship Muhammad s.a.w then know Muhammad s.a.w is death and whoever worship Allaah then know Allah is Alive and doesn't die

I always am objective, but ustad Abdulrahman spoke the haqq. Now learn and leave the wrong and follow the haqq otherwise you listened to them for no reason.
Salaamu alaikum: May Allah bless our brothers of Sunnah. Ustadh Abdur Rahman Hassan was well prepared and certainly had no intention of leaving a way out for Asrar Rashid. All doors were guarded and blocked with proofs from the Quran and Sunnah. And anyone with a small piece of knowledge can clearly see the dodging and political pandering that took place by Asrar. He has learned well from the politicians of our time but has not studied the Sunnah properly and I believe that was delineated by his lack of proofs throughout the debate. As can be seen from Part 1, our brothers may Allah bless them Abu Taymiyyah and Abdur Rahman were busy during their idle time researching and continuously hunting for proofs. Meanwhile, Asrar with no answers in sight, was just fiddling around acting like he a scholar. His supporting cast was anything but supportive. If you watched closely, did he ever find the proper spelling for the word Nubuuwwah ( Prophethood)? Someone correct me if I missed that. I was waiting to see him touch a Qaamuus and actually research the word. I never saw it. Fake scholars need to stand down and stop playing with Allah's deen. We ask Allah to guide them and their followers to the Haqq.
subhanAllah, the second part of the debate brought tears to my eyes, may Allah bless Ustad Abdul Rahman and Abu Taymiyyah, may Allah guide those who are lost. The very last sentence of the entire debate (pt 2) hurt my heart as I have friends who follow Asrar Rashid. May Allah guide all of my brothers and sisters on to the right path.

Brother asrar all he seems to be doing is give his opinion when trying to refute brother Abdul rehman , brother asrar not using no evidence what so ever, when he does try brother Abdul rehman seems to correct him with evidence. Ok, finally watched the whole video. Now I watched this without having any clue of what they were debating about apart from the title: 'can you make du'a to the prophet'. I had no idea what the two speakers were talking about as the terminology used was far too advanced for me. However, I think I have a gist of the debate. One side is saying that it is ok to ask the prophet for forgiveness of your own sins whereas the other side is debating that you should ask Allah for forgiveness of your own sins. Is this correct? If so, it's quite clear that the latter makes more sense than the former.
The prophet (saw) spend most of his life calling people to Worship Allah (swt)
and you have some people worshiping him.

If the prophet was alive yes we can ask him for help as he will there to help but he has passed away . We only ask allah for help

ادعوني أستجب لكم ان الذين يستكبرون عن عبادتي سيدخلون جهنم داخرين
"Call upon me and I will surely respond to you. Verily those who disdane from my worship will enter Hell fire humiliated".
While the other is asking you toopposs the words of the Messneger صلى الله عليه وسلم:
"When you ask then ask Allāh". And his asking youvto call upon the dead.
Which if the two positions fits into the sound mind

This debate makes no sense, after 50 minutes of hearing i find this debate ridiculous, i am no scholar nor someone who does alot of studying, if you would read the holy quran you would know it is wrong to ask for help from the prophet, allah mentions many times in the quran to ask forgiveness from him and ask for help from him only, i f you where to ask for help from the prophet isn't that sort of idol worship? Your kind of worshiping the creation not the creator?
I don't understand how a scholar in islam think it is right to ask for help from the prophet. Or maybe i am lost, and this debate is about something entirely different. I am going to continue to watch the whole thing. I hope i am not wasting my time, with something that shouldn't be debated and is crystal clear.
Subhanallah. Thats all i really have to say. I mean the following with all the respect i can muster, is Asrar Rashid (May Allah guide him and all of us) serious? Even as a layman i can see he is sidestepping almost every point being made despite how clear they are.
Wallahi its a dangerous time, i pray for him that he at least believes what he says sincerely and isnt misguiding on purpose.
