    Ohhhh noooo! If we didn't get lost we could've definitely checked off another 1 or 2 temples 😅 What do you guys think? Should we go back and try and redeem ourselves and check off some more?

    Ever since I recently discovered your channel, I have been enjoying your honest and heart-warming uploads. This is a beautiful and less-crowded pilgrimage route. Another discovery through your lens!

    Hi guys I hope that you’re both well? This was a fascinating video, combines two of my favourite things, hiking/walking and history of local areas.
    When you were walking through the factory it reminded me of the ‘right to roam’ and public footpaths in England/UK, there’s quite a few trails around my local area that I’m steadily exploring and they quite often go through farms or other places.
    Thank you for adding the information texts as you went, added to the overall video really well.
    The architecture and artwork of the buildings is absolutely stunning and the way nature works with it also really adds to the overall aesthetic and feel, I rather liked the moss that was on the stone steps.
    The stamp book was a nice touch too, makes the visit that little bit more special and memorable.
    As ever your camera and drone shots were amazing, it’s such a beautiful area, thank you for continuing to find these incredible places and sharing them with everyone.
    Another excellent video guys, thank you for sharing your experience with everyone, looking forward to seeing what autumn will bring for you.
    The very best of wishes to the both of you and your families, have a great week. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇦🇺🇯🇵🍂😊

      As always thank you so much for watching and your kind comment!
      Wow! "Right to roam", I've never heard of this - what an interesting concept!
      We really want to showcase more history of the places we go to, so we're glad to see you're happy to hear about it!
      Haha, well looks like you and Roy the same enjoy the ancient moss working together with the ancient buildings. It's truly quite beautiful, isn't it?
      Thank you again for watching and best to yourself and your family! 🤗

    Thank you for your walking and report Japanese old Buddhism road where I have not been there. By the way, a Japanese famous company CANON, its name come from Kannon (観音). Maybe, you already know.

      Ooh we didn't actually know that about Canon. That's really interesting, thank you for letting us know!

    Chichibu is the place where some people think the Japanese wolf still lives. There was a big write-up in The Guardian (I think) from a couple of years ago about it and the evidence that has been accumulated.

    Loving your videos . We are travelling in Japan during April and May 2025 in a rented camper..was wondering
    about parking near popular tourist attractions eg Kamakura. We are not fans of big cities but would like to visit a few . Regards Dee and Vince . Ps we are seasoned van travellers .

    • @RoyandAimee
      @RoyandAimee  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there Dee and Vince! Thank you so much for watching & commenting :) Parking near popular tourist spots is certainly going to a bit difficult and (more importantly) stressful, even for the seasoned van travelers! But that certainly doesn't make it impossible! Unless the type of van you're hiring is a massive unit, there's a good chance they'll JUST fit into the standard car parking space - because of this, in worse case scenarios where there isn't a generous sized designated parking area for the spot you're trying to visit, you can still utilise coin parking which is very frequently dotted around anywhere you go. You can search for coin parking ahead of time by just plugging in "Coin parking" into Google Maps and panning around the area you're looking to go. On a weekend, probably it's impossible to snag these spots, but perhaps on a weekday you'll be able to snap one up :)
      I hope this helps!

    Kind of confused to see the Shinto style prayer at the first Buddhist temple. Maybe it's one of the combo deals.

    • @RoyandAimee
      @RoyandAimee  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Appreciate you pointing this out 😊 I'm not sure whether it has any history of being a temple-shrine. This was simply us getting mixed up between the different styles 😅 We've still got quite a bit of learning to do to get well-aquainted with Buddhism and Shinto!
