Saw Paul play the 100 Club in the early 90s... had a beer with Mick Talbot who was sitting at the bar, lovely experience. Waiting for Paul to make it back to Tokyo.
00:28 - from the floorboards up 03:02 - broken stones 07:13 - wild blue yonder 10:57 - paper smile 14:14 - blink and you'll miss it 17:42 - Come on/ Let's go 21:14 - All on a Misty Morning 23:49 - I Wanna Make it Alright 29:48 - In The Crowd 34:15 - Town Called Malice
Saw weller 6 years back dross in a rut with bad moves. Dont use guitarists from second rate bands .drummings not hard. Gig was dread yuk .pauls fans seem to eh nkt really know why they are there football guys pretend plastic mods .i never listen to paul now songs are rubbish . 3rd song heres just blondie one way or another. Lost his greatness
He’s a true music fan. But I’m ow convinced almost everything he’s done except Going underground and stone rifles is ripped off. For instance Broken Stones is just Oh Happy Day recycled .
IMO 2000-2008 is Weller’s worst period. There were some good songs but a lot felt stodgy and uninspiring. The stuff he’s done since 22 Dreams has overall been of a high standard.
I really like "As is Now", the production has a unique punch, but other than that I agree. "22 Dreams" was the last great album and I think his releases after "Wake Up the Nation" are uninspired. "Wake Up..." is not bad but it is very naive.
blick and youll miss it , its a great song one of his best!

Great to see Steve white back on drums pure class
How do you mean back?
I think this gig was before Steve left. I'm guessing 2004, 2005...
Yes I think I meant great to see him playing 🥁 early years!
Why make new songs when you already peaked this is perfect
And with that line to the drummer, Whitey was off never to return
Wolverhampton gig the best gig

Wild blue yonder ? , bit average
Awful come on Paul b sides .70s soul maybe edgar winter .
It all went downhill after 1997s “Heavy Soul”. To lose Steve White was a disaster.

Coincidentally or not, he also stopped boozing around 2008’and hasn’t drank since.
