The NiteCore MT20C is a LED torch which works on one button-top 18650 battery or two CR123A batteries. It has a maximum range of 180 metres according to the ANSI standard. In addition to white light, the NiteCore MT20C has a secondary red LED. Both red and white light are within reach. Turning on the torch is simple by the tactical switch on the back. Switching between modes goes through the convenient dual side switch. One switch to go to turbo mode and the other switch switches back to the lowest setting, followed by red light and the red flashing mode.
By pressing and holding the side switches at the same time when the lamp is off, and then pressing and holding the tail switch, activates the battery status indicator. The red LED will then blink the battery voltage. Pressing both switches when the lamp is already turned on will reach the special modes: SOS, strobe and beacon.

I have the MT10A as my EDC torch, I use it practically every day. I added a Fenix AOD-S diffuser tip to be used as a lantern and an emergency light stick. Through the battery is just 14500 Li-ion but if you need more battery, you can use a standard AA battery. And by the way, you did not mention the SOS feature of the MT20C it is the 3rd feature after the beacon mode. More power DBK and thanks for reviewing good knives.

That looks like a nice flashlight. I run pretty old school on my flashlight in that size. I have a couple of Mini Maglites. I have upgraded them to LED though. Maybe I should get a more modern light some day... :)

It's amazing how much light these small LED's can produce. I'd love if there would be more efficient batteries anno 2016. You still need to charge them up very often. In the forest you'll use them on the highest mode most of the time.
