The original was by the late, great Percy Sledge. This was done during the Covid lockdowns. Austin's (now) wife was in the studio and that's who he's looking at. BTW - the song's writer had been through a bad break-up Percy sings "I gave you everything I had". Austin sings "I'll give you everything I've got". A subtle but significant change.
Yes, his name is Austin Brown and he was singing in a studio, with his gaze on his beautiful lady Amberly standing by the camera. This being done during the quarantine, the other were most likely filming in a studio corner of their respective homes in Nashville, Minneapolis, and L.A. If you haven't done any of them yet I suggest Brother by Home Free, and Take the Night Off by Austin Brown to see the lovely lady that inspires him so. He and Amberly also have a non-musical YT channel called The Beauty and the Bass.
You have just experienced one of the best tenors out there, Austin Brown. He is amazing! He has his own channel where he sings with accompaniment. There are some fantastic songs on there, but I would highly recommend Unchained Melody, which has almost 14 million views, and Bring Him Home from Les Miz.
Keep'em coming, boys! Anything Home Free is just pure magic. Austin is the high tenor and he has his own channel with 160k subscribers where he shares both covers and originals, all worthy of a reaction. Tim, the bass, Ajay has his own channel with some good stuff as does the baritone, Chance. Originals as well as covers. All worth the time! These guys are just incredible musicians and human beings. Their cover of Undivided is clearly showing their hearts. 🥰🙏
Home Free is as good as it gets. For more mind bending performances, listen to Man Of Constant Sorrow, Mayday and their legendary Butts Medley Remix. Then you’ll only have another 140 songs left. All crazy good.
I do NOT recommend Mayday until you're very familiar with each Home Free guy. It won't make as much impact or sense unless you fully know the guys & their usual performances. All the others listed, absolutely agree. Just NO MAYDAY yet. 😉
@@sunnyqzado3455 So right, and they don’t get enough play. My personal favorite is Take Me Home Country Roads. I never liked it until Home Free’s version.
Thank you so much for doing some more Home Free. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Yes, about Austin singing higher, he is considered a high tenor. All five of these guys have got great voices, you put them together, you have made Magic !! Would love to hear your reaction to Austin Browns solo version of "You Send Me". It is Amazing !!!
Yes Austin (The lead singer here) is their high tenor and can go higher than Rob which is their lower tenor (beard w/ glasses.) I enjoyed your reaction and also being a travel nurse is hard work and I have the utmost respect for what you are doing to help others. Thank you.
Austin is an incredible vocalist. He is probably one of the few that if he stepped away (lets not) and went out on his own from any A Capella group he could be a star. These guys and PTX are my go to peeps when I just want to hear great music. "Blue Ain't Your Color" is another of my favs. They are just so special.
You should check out Adam Rupp and his drum solo. Theirs one that he's on stage and gives a whole song just for Adam. It's looks like it's on a school stage I call him beat keeper.
You should check out some more of Home Free. you haven't seen any of the funny ones yet. You could do the Butts Medley Remix, Country Fried Pop Medley, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, Hillbilly Bone. But really you can't go wrong with any of their songs.
Please do their "Butts Remix" next, and try not to laugh! I dare you. This was one of their quarantine videos. They are each in their homes recording their own parts (except for Austin who does the lead on this) who was in a studio with his lady, Amberly. If you notice, he looks away from the camera on occasion to let her know he's singing it to her. Most of their quarantine videos were done from home on their cell phones and then their arranger would piece them together in his studio making some spectacular video effects in the process. Great reactions guys!
Notice they made this video during lockdown. All those monitors are because they couldn't be in one room together, but they figured out how to keep recording together anyways.
Whitney Houston “Run to You”, from the movie “Bodyguard”. “We Are Love” by Il Volo, an Italian operatic trio. Two versions are available, English and Italian. The official video version is the best.
Home Free is amazing. Another a cappella group that is just as good is VoicePlay. Their bass Geoff (Jeff) also has a 5 octave range, while the rest of the group have 4. They do more "theater songs" but have incredible harmonies as well. Their latest drop is the video game Halo theme and it will blow your minds. Goeff hits his record low of B0 in it. Please, it you react to that one watch it all the way to the end--it's a tribute to a friend and fellow gamer who died earlier this year. Carry On My Wayward Son is another excellent pick.
Rob with the glasses sings tenor, Austin with the long hair and beard sings high tenor. Tim, the bass, can actually sing tenor as well. Try reacting to their video of Mayday for a mind blowing switch up of their voices.
Again, I would not recommend Mayday just yet. If you don't know the guys & their typical roles, Mayday will not have the effect it deserves. Learn the guys names and maybe a good dozen songs or more, THEN Mayday will impress you out of your chair. Otherwise, you won't appreciate Mayday the way it deserves. 😉🥰
Not sure if you guys have ever reacted to Dan Vasc or not. If you have never heard his cover of Amazing Grace, you need to do it as soon as possible!!! It truly is Amazing. Love the fun you guys have together. Happy Easter!!! ☺
Do you know they are singing Acapella, and make the music instruments sounds with their mouths, like Michael Leslie Winslow did in his movies Five of them are from Minnesota and have been together & singing since their teens, the singer Austin Brown, is from Georgia and met the others on a cruise in which they were guest performers, Austin Brown ask them if he could join them, & the rest is history.
The original was by the late, great Percy Sledge. This was done during the Covid lockdowns. Austin's (now) wife was in the studio and that's who he's looking at. All the women swoon when they hear Austin sing this. Watch your ladies fellas
Austin was in a professional recording studio in Nashville and his lady, Amberly, was right off camera and he was inspired by her
Brother is preachin' it.
They killed this

When Home Free does a cover....Home Free does a cover!!!!!
Yes Austin is the countertenor ! He sings the highest
Great reaction guys! It's a joy to watch you enjoy great voices.
Home Free is as good as it gets. For more mind bending performances, listen to Man Of Constant Sorrow, Mayday and their legendary Butts Medley Remix. Then you’ll only have another 140 songs left. All crazy good.

Or Snow Globe
In the Blood, Helplessly Hoping, and Everybody walking this Land are my favorites.

Guys, what a great reaction! New subscriber so happy I found you can't wait to see your other reaction! Y'all be blessed happy New Year
Austin is unbelievable ♥️
Can't get enough of Home Free. Damn. I'm too old to to be a fangirl. But I can't help it.
Home Free did a great version of a great Percy Sledge song.
Fantastic by Austin !
Home Free is the best. Great reaction
Home Free never disappoints!
Just killed it. Dang

Austin and Adam (beatboxer) killed this. Thought the video was clever with the tv’s since this was still during Covid. Good reaction bros.
Very simply.....love everything you guys do and the way you do it! Keep it goin'!!!!
Austin Brown is top of the list... ANY list.

Austin is a high tenor rob is a tenor also

He is singing to his girlfriend which he brought of inspiration. He even points to at times.
You should check out Adam Rupp and his drum solo. Theirs one that he's on stage and gives a whole song just for Adam. It's looks like it's on a school stage I call him beat keeper.
New subscriber here for more Home Free. Love your reaction
Austin is the high tenor...you are correct.
I'm assuming this answers your question of who sings higher, Rob or Austin.
Clearly it's Austin. 😉
You guys are so funny. 🤣🥰
Pure AWESOMENESS 🥰🔥‼️🔥
Absolutely loved your reaction!!
Yes Austin is the high tenor Rob the guy with the glasses is the lead tenor
Actually, they all can sing tenor. Great reaction!
@@dianadickerson749 that’s the difference between high tenor and tenor… they can sing tenor but Austin can sing the highest notes.
Loved your Reaction! Great, ain't he? 😏🤗💕
Great reaction! New subscriber for more Home Free!

The guys are in sync with each other, it's crazy. Speaking of N'sYNC, check out HOME FREE's version of BYE BYE BYE
Forgot to comment on Home Fred's version of WAMLAW !! Killer !!! They only do fantastic work every single time! Thanks Guys.

Awesome reaction!
If you want to hear Austin Browns sing in his lower range do a reaction on Home Frees "I Swear" or "Warmest winter"
Good job gents!
Notice they made this video during lockdown. All those monitors are because they couldn't be in one room together, but they figured out how to keep recording together anyways.
Love these guys and your reaction. Try some of their gospel songs. Talk about harmonizing!
Whitney Houston “Run to You”, from the movie “Bodyguard”. “We Are Love” by Il Volo, an Italian operatic trio. Two versions are available, English and Italian. The official video version is the best.

Folsom Prison Blues cover by Home Free will get your attention.
If you really want to know about Tim Foust range listen to Tim Foust ‐ Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow / Stay
I saw Percy Sledge sing this in a bar in Augusta Ga. when I was 18. A long time ago, LoL. This is as good or even better than Sledge.
Rob with the glasses sings tenor, Austin with the long hair and beard sings high tenor. Tim, the bass, can actually sing tenor as well. Try reacting to their video of Mayday for a mind blowing switch up of their voices.

Not "hold my throat"!!!! 😂

Happy Easter to you!! We haven’t had the pleasure to hear this yet! Adding it now!

Yes
Here, hold my throat!!! Perfect
You need to listen to Santo and Johnny "Sleep Walk" live
I would to see home free and penatonix come together
Avi Kaplin of Pentatonix joined Home Free on the official Ring of Fire video. It's killer.
I almost didn’t recognize you without your storm trooper suit on Allen.
You got some fun content here.
You shoulda sang me some tunes!
Lookin good!
Originals are pretty good too........take a listen. The elevator may stop for you .
