    Vader in Rogue One and Luke in The Mandalorian: have epic scenes where they kill enemies in a hallway.
    Maul: Has epic scene killing enemies *with* the hallway.
    This final reaction was sooo good! Those last few minutes are some of the best visual storytelling I've ever seen, the emphasis on Jesse's helmet with the Republic emblem is great symbolism showing that not only are the clone troopers gone but so is the Republic, reborn as the Empire. Even better is that image of Vader with the blue lightsaber, as the final shot of the series it's chilling, clever and -perfect - and the music choices...when "Anakin's Dark Deeds" plays, it's unreal. Thanks so much for all the Clone Wars reactions, it's been one hell of a journey!

    I love how they indirectly show how much Rex cares for Ahsoka. He held himself together longer than anyone could imagine for Order 66, and the instant he saw her in danger after the chip was removed he drew and fired on his fellow clones.

      @@shugaroony Bad Batch suffers from too many episodes and plotting that isn't tight enough. 16 episodes was at least 6 top many last season and there's another 16 this season? 10 episodes max, tighten up the storytelling and expand the crew beyond the cliche tropes they currently are. Otherwise this show is never going to come close to TCW and Rebels.

    Ahsoka's steadfastness to not kill the clones is the most Jedi thing. It shows the modern Republic Jedi didn't really try hard to enough to avoid war. In hindsight - of the average citizen - it looked like they were too willing to fight, too willing to draw out the fighting. Of course they were too easily manipulated by Palpatine's design, but if they had been less focused on their powerful position in the Republic, they may have sensed it better.

    I'm def team rebels. Haha. Imo there is so much that comes from it and leads to it that will resonate when you watch other stuff, but ultimately as long as you do watch it, on or off channel, that's what I care about. As with CW it starts fairly light and seemingly for children, lays a foundation of further world/lore building, then it starts to grow up around the end of s2. It has some of my favorite sw. If you upload I'd watch, but again... as long as you watch it I'm good. Maybe even if you watch and don't want to react, but do like... Season reviews? Or something? That'd be cool too.

      its also not just any clone helmet. it was a hand painted helmet by the clones FOR ahsoka, from the last time vader had seen ahsoka as anakin. hell it would have been less sad if it was jesse's helmet instead, but because they chose the detail of the broken, cracked, and aged trooper helmet with the markings of ahsoka's face is makes it infinitely more tragic.

      I think overall Rebels is better than Clone Wars (if you consider ALL the 7 seasons of CW I mean). The "Ahsoka parts" in Rebels are maybe the best Star Wars can offer, together with this finale.

    • @maramackenzie-mann
      @maramackenzie-mann ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Emanuele Corsi I would disagree slightly, Rebels is good but when an episode flops it really falls flat. With Clone Wars when an episode wasn't good, it was just okay, not outright awful.
      I agree that all the Ahsoka stuff in the show is top-tier but it's not better than Clone Wars on that alone. Rebels felt just a bit too kid-friendly for a bit too long to rival Clone Wars' tone. Sure Clone Wars season 1 was a bit kiddie but they ramped it up with season 2 (Rebels never had anything like the Geonosian brain worms).
      It's still a good show for what it has but for my money Clone Wars is consistently good to great whereas Rebels spent a while swinging from good to great to terrible.

  • @tastalrial0972
    @tastalrial0972 ปีที่แล้ว +43

    This finale was perfect. It was intense, shocking, poetic and fun. The ending was simply insanely good. No words needed, the symbolism off the charts.
    And with what you were talking about with Rex, the emotions he has to feel are crazy. He's one of the oldest clones we know of, because he was present since Geonosis. He's lost countless brothers, and the nail in the coffin of Jesse. And then he has to help bury all the last few he has that aren't with Anakin at the temple. Both him and Ahsoka are, more or less, metaphorically dead. Everyone close to them either don't know their fate at all, don't even have the ability to find out, or are dead. The story these last four episodes covered was just so good and so deep. As someone who has been watching this show since he was eight, I don't think we could have asked for a better finale.

      Focusing so much of the Clone Wars show on the clones as people was one of the best decisions of this entire show. We knew Rex, and Cody, Jesse, Kix, Domino Squad, Waxer and Boil, Hardcase, Tup, and so many more for _years_ at this point. Losing the ideals of what that symbol represented, and the man that helmet represented, was heartbreaking.

You will fall in love with the new characters, you will scream with joy when you see old characters return, you will lose your mind on how good certain episodes and finales are. I would say 3 of my 7 favorite all time star wars moments happen in rebels. Also rebels has only half the episodes Clone Wars does, less of a commitment, and such a well tight knit story. Not the end, the Clone Wars will end some few hours from now, when a coded signal, sent by Nute Gunray from the secret Separatist bunker on Mustafar, deactivates every combat droid in the galaxy at once, but the climax. It’s not a thrilling climax; it’s not the culmination of an epic struggle. Just the opposite, in fact. The Clone Wars were never an epic struggle. They were never intended to be. What is happening right now is why the Clone Wars were fought in the first place. It is their reason for existence. The Clone Wars have always been, in and of themselves, from their very inception, the revenge of the Sith. They were irresistible bait. They took place in remote locations, on planets that belonged, primarily, to “somebody else.” They were fought by expendable proxies. And they were constructed as a win-win situation. The Clone Wars were the perfect Jedi trap. By fighting at all, the Jedi lost.”

    I'm gonna disagree with some people that are saying Rebels has more filler than Clone Wars. I always felt like Rebels was much more consistent in quality, particularly once you get into season 2 and beyond, so I feel like (and hope) it'd do pretty well in terms of views.

    • @justinmcqueen7922
      @justinmcqueen7922 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      People saying Rebels has more filler have no idea what filler is, almost every episode is either progressing a character arc, setting up a plot point for later, or paying off something that happened prior, it is far more serialized than Clone Wars, where episides and even entire story arcs often revolve around side characters, never get mentioned again, and have no real impact on the larger plot or main characters. And that's not a criticism of CW, it's just more episodic and often takes an anthology approach, Rebels has a narrower focus and sticks with the main characters and their story arcs consistently.

    • @Mis7erSeven
      @Mis7erSeven ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@justinmcqueen7922 Actually I see only one filler episode in Rebels. It's the one where they use the B-Wing. They say that the rebellion wants more of these ships but we never see anything of that in the rest of the show. The battle in the episode is irrelevant for the main plot, no new character is introduced (except for the engineer who build the ship but he never returns so he doesn't count) and nothing important happened to any of the existing characters.
      The Clone Wars has more examples for fillers like this, like the arc with the zillo beast or the arc where R2D2 and C3PO went on a little odyssey after getting lost during a mission.

    Thank you for sharing your reactions to Clone Wars with us. It has been such a great journey rewatching the series and seeing you enjoy the show.
    I definitely think watching Tales first is good, since it’s only 6 episodes and they relate to Clone Wars content (with a hint of transition into Rebels).
    I feel like watching Rebels before Bad Batch would have a better effect, but honestly, I’m not sure. That’s the way it released, but since Bad Batch occurs before Rebels, maybe watching Season 1 of BB and then watching Rebels and coming back to BB S2 since it just came out would work.
    I think there is definitely a higher demand to watch Rebels on camera over Bad Batch, but Bad Batch is still so great! Rebels just is such an amazing show, and feels like an amazing sequel show to Clone Wars, while being it’s own new thing. Some of the greatest moments in all of Star Wars are in Rebels. Thank you again for all you do and share with us!

    Thank you for taking the time to watch all the Clone Wars with us. Its a long series but so full of great characters and writing. As others have said in the comments at the end Ahsoka is the only real Jedi left even before Order 66. Only she was the true heir of Qui Gon Jinn. There is a commentary series on Disney + after the first season of the Mandalorian where Dave Filloni explains the end of Phantom Menace and how that battle between Maul and Qui Gon is the Duel of the Fates. Anakin needed a father figure, not a brother, so when Qui Gon dies and Obiwan takes over Anakins training the first bricks to Anakins fall are lain.

    Such a powerful last scene, and it required no words. Vader, the symbol of the new, terrible empire, slowly walks away, leaving behind the broken, orange helmet of one of his own, formerly beloved 501st, the symbol of the Republic, the clones, the Jedi, Ahsoka and everything good that just fell.

    Rex and Ashoka are on Rebels and you learn more about them. Most people who don’t like Rebels stems from Clone Wars having been cancelled and it being made. It’s art style is different and (just like CW had a lot more juvenile humor in the beginning that fans forget) has some humor for younger kids in the beginning. The show has some of my favorite characters in Star Wats and amazing moments. It gets emotional and pretty dark though is a bit more hopeful . I vote you watch it on camera all since there isn’t that much filler. There are filterless guides if you want to know what to post but it doesn’t cut that much. You could actually watch both Bad Batch at the same time if you wanted. BB is right after CW in the timeline and Rebels is right before ANH.

    Well, your Star Wars videos are the reason I became a patron, so you know what my vote is for whether or not I want you to continue on with the rest of us.
    One thing I want to mention about Ahsoka. I can write a thesis on how Ahsoka was the greatest Jedi of her era, but a lot of it can be summed up right here in this episode when she said that "they (the clones) may be willing to die, but I'm not going to be the one who kills them."
    Even Yoda, EVEN YODA, went immediately to the decapitation option. But not Ahsoka. The clones were victims of Palpatine just as much as every other casualty of the war, and Ahsoka wasn't going to kill them outright for that. A true servant of life and the light.
    As for your reactions moving forward, how you choose to spend your time and share it with us is entirely your own option, but both Rebels and Bad Batch are continuations of Clone Wars in their own way. They are all set in the same galaxy after all, and they have many characters in common other than their core cast. There are many, many moments that you will love that I would love for you to share with the rest of us on that basis alone. I will be the first to admit that there's quite a bit of filler in Rebels. It could easily be distilled down to essential episodes, especially if you hope to finish before Ahsoka premieres on Disney plus, which I highly recommend, for the same reasons that that you waited to watch Obi-Wan until you finished Clone Wars.

    • @stevenmcmullan409
      @stevenmcmullan409 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Side note. One of the characters you will meet on your Rebels journey will be voiced by none other than the Fourth Doctor, Tom Baker himself. I'm not going to tell you, when, where or who (heh) so you're just going to have to keep your ears open. :)
      Suffice to say, it's a character appropriate for a Sci-Fi legend of his stature.

      I don't mean to burst your bubble because what you said still mostly applies, but when Ahsoka first gets attacked by the clones she does absolutely anything within her power to live. She reflects multiple bolts back at clones and kills them. However as soon as she's had a moment to think she doesn't kill another one of them. Basically she was in a fight or flight response, which arguably Yoda was too, I don't believe we see him kill another clone after that moment

    Absolutely LOVE your reaction!
    I'm also glad you'll be reacting to Obi-Wan and Tales of the Jedi.
    As for Rebels and The Bad Batch, I can say that both of those shows are AMAZING and it would be really cool if you reacted to them. Both of these shows were created by Dave Filoni, who was one of the supervising directors of The Clone Wars and the creator of Tales of the Jedi. Rebels is definitely the spiritual successor to The Clone Wars, while The Bad Batch is a direct continuation of the clones' story.
    As for the order in which you watch these shows, I would say that it doesn't really matter. I watched The Bad Batch before Rebels and had a nice experience; however, I understand why people would want you to watch Rebels first, as Rebels was released before The Bad Batch. The chronological standpoint and timings are as follows:
    ~50 BBY-~15 BBY: Tales of the Jedi
    22 BBY-19 BBY: The Clone Wars
    19 BBY: The Bad Batch
    10 BBY: Obi-Wan
    5 BBY: Andor
    5 BBY-0 BBY: Rebels
    0 BBY-4 ABY: The Original Trilogy

I was very surprised at how significant Maul became in the end, he could have possibly derailed Sidious' plan, being the only one to see the bigger picture of it. Lots of emotion seeing Rex and Ahsoka fighting for their lives against men they didn't want to hurt and those droids helping them too! Rex fighting against his chip all the way then burying the fallen clones. And that final scene with Vader, the owl flying overhead, that scene was a work of art!

    *Without spoiling anything,* you should watch Tales of the Jedi, and *parts* of The Bad Batch and Rebels. There are The Clone Wars characters and stories that carry over into those series, and to get the most out of TCW those few key episodes are very important.
    - Tales of the Jedi is a very welcome surprise, although it's not 100% original, borrowing a lot from a recently de-canonized book.
    - The Bad Batch is guaranteed to scratch any TCW itches if you ever get 'em. IMO it's a little derivative, borrowing the best parts of Rebels and The Mandalorian and putting it in TCW's art style, but it's solid. If I had to pick one to not react to, it's TBB.
    - Rebels is a criminally over-hated show for understandable reasons, but it's definitely worth a watch. If you're invested in wonderful characters and serialized story, Rebels is your show. The 70 episodes are a bit daunting, but you could probably get away with doing >2 episodes a reaction, as Rebels doesn't really have TCW-esque 'arcs' until the third and fourth season, with the exception of some 2-part episodes in the first two seasons. Filoni and the team mastered the acting, composing, and writing from the best parts of TCW for Rebels, and I would love to see your reaction as I know you'll love it.

    Don't feel obligated to do any shows if you're unsure if you have time or if you're worried about its TH-cam performance, but Rebels is truly a worthwhile Star Wars experience. You will be surprised how quickly you fall in love with the characters and the show has some of the best arcs and moments in all of the saga. And I think people have been giving Rebels a lot more deserved love and attention since it first aired. Some die hard fans like us even love it just a little more than Clone Wars, which is saying something.
    So TLDR; if you're genuinely interested in the show and have the time and energy to record it, don't doubt that we'll be here to go on that journey with you. I have so many scenes from Rebels in my head that I know you would freak out over.
